We got food down the street at Burgers and Barley and brought it to this park to eat. When we drove in, I noticed many signs about social distancing. People seem to be completely ignoring the signs because the park was incredibly crowded and no one was social distancing. Luckily, we were able to find a secluded picnic table to sit at and eat our lunch. It seemed like a nice park and I would have loved to stay and walk around on some of the trails, but I wasn't comfortable doing that considering how crowded it is. I'd recommend trying to find a less popular park than this one if you're just trying to spend some time outside.

Rock Hill's flagship park, Cherry Park is free to access and open from 7am to 11pm (summer hours) and 7am to 9pm (winter hours). The park is a large 68 acres and is chock full of scenic trails, playgrounds and all sorts of other stuff for outdoors.Five lighted baseball fields, all with skinned infields and fencing. Enclosed dugouts, electronic scoreboards and seating for 500 people at each field. Yes, there is enough parking. The walking trails run about 1.5 miles. There are some permanent structures with bathrooms and concessions. The first aid room is open during tournaments.Other mulit-purpose fields for soccer, football and even concerts or large festivals.Truly a stunning park and Rock Hill has done well.[Review 13034 overall, 351 of 2020.]

I bring my kids here very often and it's always such a pleasure I know a lot of people are going to the new park because it's shiny and new but this park has been around and still has good bones

I love that this park is the location of the Special Olympics each year. As far as I saw they have a lot of things to do here. there are so many areas that literally on a summer day you could meet all your friends up there and have a game of ball! The park looked very large with lots of entertainment for children. I did not get to see very much while at the special olympics, but was impressed with what I saw

Very impressed by Cherry Park. I played tennis here last night and they have a gorgeous tennis facility. I am told the tennis center is funded by the city of Rock Hill but you can also play to be a member and get some more benefits (being able to reserve courts and use ball machines are some of the perks). The courts themselves are pristine. Each court has fencing around it so you don't have to worry about stray balls coming from other courts (unless they coming from overhead - then you gotta watch out). Each court also has a score system, bench with canopy, cooler filled with water, and even equipment for tennis lessons (ball machines, ball pickup rollers, etc). I wish I lived closer to such a nice facility.I didn't venture much passed the tennis complex, but I saw a little bit of the Frisbee course and walking trails on my way out.

As a park to stop in while going traveling down 77, this place gets 5 stars. We stopped here for an hour and our kids loved it. They have a sand area with plenty of swings. The playground has a variety of play items and is spread out. I wish they had a little more updated toddler area but it still worked. They also have working bathrooms that were clean so that was a plus. The running path was nice and it just felt refreshing from sitting in a car. It also is close to numerous places to eat.

This is a great park in Rock Hill. Even though in is right off of bustling Cherry Road, this park always seem serene because of the ample number of trees and bushes. There is an extensive walking trail that forms a loop, so it is easy to get lots of miles in. There is a nice sized playground for kids. The trees have grown up around the playground to provide shade for the adults. The playground area is also surrounded with picnic tables and little charcoal grill areas. In addition, there are several softball fields and soccer fields. This is a fantastic place to spend a Sunday morning.

This a great park, however there have been a lot of break ins here. I was a victim myself. Make sure you put everything out of site and also case the parking lot frequently for suspicious persons!
