Cherokee County Museum

I could have spent the whole day here! The History and Arts Museum in Gaffney S.C. is fascinating! It's loaded with artifacts from not only the history of Cherokee County but from every American War! It even has an Amelia Earhart display! She spent the night in Gaffney once before her disappearance! I highly recommend this museum! The staff here are friendly and quite knowledgeable! There is normally a 5.00 dollar entrance fee but it was waved because it was my first visit. I wholly recommend this museum to anyone with a keen interest in American history!

This is a great place to tour for your kids and if your new to the area it's great for anyone who needs to know or wants to know the history of this town, this place is a renovated old elementary school.

So many artifacts, well presented in a nicely designed facility. We could have easily spent a day here, and are looking forward to returning to see the new wing addition. This museum has a beautiful event space as well with a friendly, accommodating staff. This is one of the upstate's best kept secrets.

Wonderful museum, well worth a trip. The event hall is a great space to host events too. Highly recommended.

Amazing museum for a town of this size. The quality rivals many of the big city museums I've visited. The directions take you to the size of the building still under construction. Drive around to the other side to find the entrance. Worth a side trip.
