The food is excellent... The staff is friendly. The best in Morganton. The portions of food are great for the cost.If you're looking for a great place for Chinese food, then give them a try.

It's in a strip mall next to a grocery store. It's set up mostly for take-out with a few basic tables and chairs. It's counter service only. The service was quick and efficient. The food was basic. I got chicken and vegetables. The sauce was overly thick and there wasn't much chicken. The chicken seemed to be breaded slightly and was soft and rubbery. It came with pork fried rice, which was also very basic. Small bits of pork, very little vegetables in the rice, and the rice was oily. It filled my stomach, but it was lacking in flavor and quality.

Went here on a lunch break during work. Decent meal, and can't beat the lunch special for $6.25. Broccoli could've been steamed a little better since it was stiff and I could barely cut it apart with the plastic knife in the restaurant.No issues with the rice or chicken though. Good spot when you're needing something quick.

Big ups for Chen's! I was looking for Chinese take-out in the area and decided to try something new. I didn't even know that this restaurant existed within the shopping mall off exit 105. Back in the days, I believe this used to be the Jersey Mike's? I called in to place my order and they were so kind. When I arrived it was a brother and sister duo working the front -- answering the telephone and helping customers check out like PROS. The best customer service that I've ever received at a mom and pops take out restaurant. These young folks are going to go far in life.Overall, food was good and definitely worth a try. I got the bbq pork lo mien, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup was my favorite out of all the dishes.

This is the best Chinese food in Morganton! Great portions made with very fresh ingredients! Stop in or call in for take out and find out for yourself!

Don't know what's happening at Chen's Garden but tonight was awful. Sesame Chicken was like pork skins and the broccoli was like chewing rubber bands.

I've eaten from here a few times, but the food, takeout, is all crammed into one flat container. Mostly rice on the bottom with a few spoons of whatever you ordered spread on top.Won't eat here anymore.

Great food! Excellent service! Last time I was there was not the only very satisfied customer.

In my opinion, I think this is the best Chinese around Morganton!! It's always super hot, fresh, huge portions, and white meat chicken for sweet and sour chicken
