It's impossible to be in a bad mood if you're watching a show at CCT! I've been to see a number of different improv groups, including Bigfoot and Crescendo musical improv. It's a small theater, and the crowd is encouraged to participate by throwing out topics or may even be asked to come up on stage and assist with a game (don't worry - they ask for volunteers). Shows typically last around 90 minutes and are BYOB, so it's a great bang for your buck! They also have drinks available for purchase right before you walk in to take your seat. By attending, you're supporting local, live theater, which is a great thing to do! Also, if you're interested in learning how to do improv and potentially performing someday, they offer improv classes for all levels.

This was one of the highlights of my entire trip to Charlotte. Stuart and his troupe were so much funand the skits were amazing. Its a small theater and there were several I had to cover my mouth before my very loud Philly laugh came out.The troupe was friendly and loved interacting with the crowd as much as we loved them. They even lined up after the show for photos, handshakes, and hugs.90 minute show full of laughter and silliness. So if you like improv, if you like Whose Line, if you like supporting local theater, make sure you come to the Charlotte Comedy Theater. You'll be happy that you did

Took a private class with Kim. It was fun and definitely made us step out of our comfort zones. There are lessons in each exercise we did too. Great team building activity. I'm considering taking a class.

Improv class at CCT is amazing! Keli is a gem of an instructor and mentor; she's also wildly hilarious. She has 20 years of improv experience and learned with the greats in Chicago. I feel so embraced at CCT - it's the community I've been longing for! What I love best about improv is the trust and friendships cultivated in the class. I see the positive impact improv is having on my life - I'm more relaxed, confident, and trusting. I also haven't laughed this much in a long time and it feels great!

If you've ever been curious about learning improv - or would like to try something fun and unique - join a six-week class with Keli Semelsberger, executive director of Charlotte Comedy Theater. Inspirational, outrageous, hilarious, and spiritual, Keli teaches the gifts of improv that can be really useful in "real" life as well. And the shows on Friday and Saturday nights are super casual and tremendously fun. It's like hanging out with all your funniest friends for the night. (And the cover is only $10.)

I attended the Crescendo: Musical Improv Show and it was one of the most genuinely hilarious events I've ever attended. The team has great chemistry, and I was belly-laughing the entire time! The seats should be full! I look forward to seeing more shows, including their improv shows as well. Highly recommend, 10/10!!!
