We always have our annual company christmas party here and it's always a great time. It is located in the heart of uptown, right in front of the City Center Marriott Hotel. The parking deck is actually off 4th St. Right in front of Pearl Dentistry. The place is always decorated beautifully and with a great venue room. Beautiful views of the Charlotte skyline. It was always a great time.

Pretzel Crusted Crab Cakecelery root slaw, lemon-ginger aioli and peach vinaigretteI've always been alittle hesitant to try crab cakes. Simply because I was afraid the quality of crab they used wouldn't suffice and the crab meat may have a lingering fishy taste and smell to it. To my surprise, this pretzel crusted crab cake was delicious beyond my imagination. The well-seasoned crab meat was light and fluffy with a crispy crust. The peach vinaigrette drizzled on the bottom of the plate added some sweetness to the dish. Because of this dish, I am willing to try more crab cakes if they are available on the menu. Hopefully they measure up to this one.

My husband and I came here last night for a special occasion and absolutely loved it. The four course special is perfect, and the appetizers are big enough to share so we both got to try multiple items. I got the cheese tray and the tomato salad; he got the corn and crab fritters and a tomato corn bisque. The nightly specials sounded awesome, and his entree was the sea bass- I highly recommend this if it's available!!! I opted for the pork tenderloin and pork belly. Melt in your mouth amazing. I don't usually get tenderloin because it's so easy to over cook, but the chef did a great job. And of course I was full, but couldn't stop eating. Desserts were excellent but we just ran out of room! Our service was great all around- despite a very nice and classy establishment, the waitress and other staff that helped us were not stuffy and really seemed to enjoy being there.

Really did not experience much of this venue, but the elevator doors in the floors 2-9 elevator bay shut on me while trying to exit the elevator. I let one person off ahead of me, tried to walk out, and the doors slammed on my shoulders causing me to stumble out of the elevator. Typically elevators stay open longer and have sensors for when people are, you know, getting on or off. I am not sure how such an upscale venue can have elevators that operate this way, and I hope this has not happened to anyone else as it could have been much worse if it had been an elderly person or heaven forbid a child.

I joined Charlotte City Clib when first moving to Charlotte. Within a week I realized it was a mistake and asked for a return of my $4,000 fee.I requested my money back because I began receiving collection notices on the money, even though they cashed my check, then I received a late fee on my first bill. Calls to management went unreturned for about two weeks. More seriously, I had my one and only lunch at City Club, a group table for people dining alone. The gentleman beside me identified himself as a past president. During lunch he criticized Charlotte Schools and blamed certain issues on minority students. I received VIP treatment when visiting earlier while considering becoming a member, including lunch and a friendly tour. Once I paid the initial fee the friendliness stopped abruptly. My sponsor (selected by club management because I was new to Charlotte) wouldn't return my calls. Bookkeeping didn't respond for 2 weeksManagmemt responded finally with a rude call, not interested in my concerns saying, " we have never given anyone's money back!"Ethics and fair business practice are apparently non-existent here.Signed, A member for a week. A $4000.00 lunch.

Great location, great view, great food and service! My husband and I came here for dinner one night being invited by a member and had a great time! Our waitress was friendly and knew her stuff, the menu looked amazing but we managed to pick out our entrees. The food was superb!!! So good that it made me think about joining the club! I had dined here three times prior to this meal and all the food I had were amazing. One time I had the filet mignon and the steak was so tender I was able to easier cut through with a butter knife! Take that Morton's!

I had my wedding here this past weekend. It was awesome. The staff - especially Nathan Hoffman - were amazing to work with. The food was excellent, the setting was beautiful and things went according to plan. I cannot say enough good things about Nathan. He was great to work with and made the whole process so easy. The City Club was the only venue we looked at that said they would do a tasting for us. The food was excellent and the wine was outstanding. They even gave us a picnic basket of goodies when we left the venue - wine, cheese, cheesecake, crackers and more - some nice yummy midnight snacks!Everyone we worked with, dealt with and interacted with at every level was a pleasure to deal with. Nathan really helped with the planning and the scheduling and made the entire process so much better for us.
