Bottom line up front: the food was delicious. We arrived around 6:45 on a Friday evening and we were told it would be 30-45 minutes of waiting. Wait we did. Once seated we were provided with mild and spicy salsa. We ordered a giant queso and that helped with the long period of time we waited for our food. A table of 3 adults and one small child went through five whopping bowls of chips while waiting for our food. Our waitress was prompt with the refill. Food wait time was around 45 minutes after ordering. My steak burrito was delicious. I subbed black beans out for refried beans. I'd definitely return--but try to go when not at such a busy time!

Worst service I have ever had here. The waitress, MiMi, was rude from the moment we got there and seated us. We all ordered quickly, only my husband asking a question about his dish. She quickly reeled back with a sarcastic remark, leaving us all puzzled. We waited for drinks until we had to flag her down each time. Then she was rude just for pouring water! We waited another 15 minutes just to get our ticket. It wasn't late nor a busy night. We were the only ones there for half an hour. Between 4 and 5:00 on a Tuesday afternoon

If I could do 0 stars I would. I ordered the coconut margarita and I had one sip and didn't like it at all. It tasted like air freshener and made me nauseous. I asked for a horchata instead. The horchata tasted like water but I tolerated it. Upon receiving my bill I saw they still left the margarita on my bill even though I didn't drink it. When I asked the waitress she got her manager and the manager said it was my fault that I didn't like it and the best he could do was take half of it off my bill. I've worked in the restaurant industry for half of my life and if the customer ever had an issue where they didn't like anything we'd take it away and comp the item. So rude. I would NOT recommend this place. Just find a better Mexican restaurant.

Went in for lunch. Left unsatisfied. Bland. Bland. Bland. First started with the stale chips and salsa. Margarita was very weak. Server was nice. Not authentic and I'm pretty sure the food comes from a microwave. Form your own opinion but this is your warning.

Local staple, affordable, service is great, food is always good and the environment is always clean and enjoyable.

While I've never actually eaten at the restaurant, I've ordered off of DoorDash. I have never been disappointed with whatever I've ordered. And who doesn't love chips and salsa!

I picked up a to go order, a chicken fajita quesadilla, and I guess they were running really low on chicken because it was 90% green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. It barely had any cheese and was completely flavorless. Go to Margarita's-this place is a waste of time.

No value in the amount of food given on each plate after paying top dollar for meal and size or amounts are very small i will not be comming back

We come here pretty often and have never had a bad experience. This is our favorite Mexican place as the food is always amazing! They are generous with their portions and fair prices. The service is always great too! I would recommend this place to anyone.

The food is consistently inconsistent. The Service makes up for this some. But not all locations have good service but the Newport location does
