Central Tea House

I honestly never make it over to this side of town but this tea house has now been added to one of my top 3 favorites in the Charlotte area. After looking over the menu for some time, I decided to go with the Beach Bum tea that came with jelly lychee. This was the best drink. So fresh and flavorful. Their pricing is really great too. I hope to come this way again sometime in the near future so I can try out more drink combos. Note: They also sell food and pastries but on this visit it did not have a chance to try anything out

This is a small and cute cafe in a shopping plaza towards the older side of Plaza Midwood. I ordered the Bulgogi banh mi with no cilantro and it was tasty! The beef was cooked and then doused with bulgogi sauce as it was evident it was not marinaded in it... so obviously don't order the Korean fusion banh mi if you want something authentic! There was real kimchi on it too so I was pleased with that. I also got the mango peach green tea with mango jelly and that was delicious!! There are tons of tea flavors and options to choose from. There is limited seating in this tea house so don't expect to fit a group or work with your laptop and lots of books. However, the staff is super friendly and everything is clean and tidy. I recommend it!

Ordered the house special. It was pretty good, loaded with veggies so beware if you're not a fan. But otherwise it was a pretty solid, didn't have the chance to try any of their other options, but the menu boasted a wide variety of drinks and other sandwiches as well. Will probably come back next time to try some of their other menu items.

I had a singing engagement yesterday, 11-25-23, and it was chilly. I had a short break and wanted something warm. Thought it was too late in the afternoon for the caffeine in coffee. The cashier helped me decide on the hot honey jasmine green tea. It seemed to taste better with each sip. I also ordered the toasted pork pate so. It was a little too hot to eat at first, but I started nibbling on my way back to my destination. Flaky croissant; it was very good, especially because I was hungry. I also ordered a strawberry tea cake for after the engagement. Would definitely return for the green tea & pate so.I asked if there was a restroom available while waiting for my pate so. A gentleman told me where it was and gave me the code more than once for the door. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of soap. I was happy to find this small business on small business Saturday and definitely would support again.

The service was fine but why the fuck was my banh mi like this???? Like this was for my grandpa who's vegan and this SHIT IS BURNT, this could cause health problems and it was $6-7 for this bs??? Give me a refund, I drove far with high expectations because it was next to a pretty popular restaurant. Stay safe out here pooks mwah

Good food, drinks and ambiance. Prices are reasonable. Small cafe. Near Central, but off of a less busier road next to some apartments. Can sit in and enjoy passing time working or eating or get your items to go.

As someone who doesn't do caffeine, I love the non caffeine options and all the smoothie options! I enjoy the banh mi here as well. It's a good place to order and pick up or go on a solo date to enjoy some good Vietnamese food. I've eaten the pastries as well which were tasty.

Found this place on Yelp and finally was able to visit! So glad I did, it's a small tea house on Central. When I walked in we were immediately greeted and the menu was extensive but not overwhelming, they also had banh mi and other foods and treats. Would definitely go back!

Central TH has became my favorite spot for Jasmine Milk Tea whenever I travel back home. The flavor is pretty good. Customer service is friendly as always. It's a small shop but cute.

Not bad -- but the Vietnamese coffee wasn't worth the hassle of fighting for parking in the tiny parking lot. The coffee didn't have a kick or anything special about it. It also tasted a bit diluted.
