I'm not a golfer but I can fully appreciate a pretty, well run golf course and Cedarwood is just that. The greens are nicely kept, the staff is very helpful and all the carts were in working order. In terms of the difficulty of the course, most of the folks I spoke to while assisting with a nonprofit golf tourney mentioned that Cedarwood is a great, mid-level course for all players. The club house is spacious and open and the food is pretty tasty. All factors are definitely important to take into consideration when planning a charity golf event! If I were to golf, Cedarwood seems like a solid place to check out!

Had a charity golf event here recently. Solid 3 stars! A nice open course that wasn't too long or too difficult. Par 3's were not that long and there are 1-2 par 4's reachable on a good drive. For a private course, the course could have been a little better up-kept in my opinion. One item that is needed is hole markers, as they were not labeled and for a shotgun start this would have helped. The clubhouse was very nice and the views were nice. There is a nice driving range, putting area and chipping green for practice. Overall, great course for a scramble golf event. Fair play for all types of players!

My company has it's monthly meetings at Cedarwood. It's a beautiful facility. The food is always great (breakfast) and the staff is friendly. I've gawked at the golf course for so many years as I've driven by this place but I've yet to get an opportunity to play here. Hopefully soon! Looking forward to more business meetings and the thought that one day I'll get to play a round of golf.

I attended a wedding reception here and it was a great facility for a dinner event. Of course, the facility was beautiful and staff was friendly. The food was pretty good. The layout was perfect for an event like this - there was plenty of room for lots of large dinner tables as well as a dance floor. They kept the beverage stations open and well stocked. The bride and groom were very pleased and the guests had a great time.

Cedarwood is a great golf club. I am not sure the combination of quality of golf course, south Charlotte location and value can be matched. The course is very easy to walk and play and not get worn out. The staff takes care to continuously improve the course and watch the conditions. The grill room has really solid food choices including a southwest chicken salad, buffalo chicken wrap and great burgers. No matter what side you can't go wrong.

The reviews of Ceadarwood Country Club are spot on. The course is pleasing to eye, very walkable and very challenging. Playability is difficult and rewarding for the highly skilled golfer. The fairways have very tight lies, the rough is almost impossible at 3" high, and greens roll at 11 which is too fast for the undulations. So, if you're a higher handicapper you probably won't have an enjoyable round other than enjoying the beauty of the course, the nice weather and friends.

I play today as a guest. This was my first time playing this course. We played with a member, which really helped us enjoy the round. I'll start with the staff, clubhouse and practice facilities and then move onto the course. The staff was great. The head pro was very friendly and based on everything I saw in the pro shop and staging area told me he knows his business every well. I love to see everything so neat, clean and well run. The clubhouse is fantastic. It has everything that I would want if I were a member. The driving range was on the small side, but it more than provided a place to warm up. Turf condition and targets were good. The putting green was in excellent condition and was exactly like the greens on the course. We played the blue tees, which is just over 6,400 yards, and that was a good choice. The back tees total just under 7,000 yards, which would have been too much. The condition was a 10. Tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were perfect. The greens were super smooth and very fast. It was an absolute joy rolling putts on these greens. I had several 3-putts, but every putt I faced today was fair, just tough. The layout was fantastic. It's challenging, but also fun. I recall only one time I could not hit driver off a par 4/5. There's plenty of room off the tee on most holes, but you'd better hit the proper side of the green on approach shots. The greens were about as interesting and well thought out as you could expect. All of the par 3's were very demanding. I have not played a course in the Charlotte area in better condition or one more fun to play. Pace of play was 3 hours and 25 minutes.

Great cook! excellent pros and excellent staff. the people are normal there and don't snub their noses at you like some other clubs out there. Course is a beautiful layout and is very challenging but can be tamed with good driver. Greens and bunkers were redone about a year ago and are in unbelievable condition. Would recommend joining today!
