Cedar Rock Country Club

I can't believe the reviews on CRCC. I have been a member for a few months now and this course is an INSANE deal. The fairways are nice and the greens are well kept and decent speed. The pool/bar is great and the staff is friendly. They do need to work on the cafe just a little but good support staff are hard to find anywhere right now. For the price, you cannot beat getting a pool and golf membership. The mountains in the background, while are you are playing, are beautiful.

Stunning golf course for the entire family! We had a blast riding around with our kids and showing them the ropes of playing golf. The mountains surrounding the course are absolutely breathtaking. Best part is that it's open year round so you don't have to stop playing golf in the winter... most places around here close with the cold weather.

My SO and I enjoy driving outside the greater Charlotte area to find great golf courses, and Cedar Rock is about an hour and a half away for us. We have been here once before and are always impressed by the views and the feel of the course as a whole. It has a historic, classy feel to the clubhouse, pro shop, and dining area. The tee boxes and fairways are well maintained, which makes for great ball striking. Overall, the difficulty of the course is about average but the greens can be treacherous. If you do not hit the ball above the hole on some holes, it will set you up for circus shots that tend to compound strokes. As mentioned above, we enjoyed this course enough to make the drive out and would recommend to those in the Charlotte area as a fair priced, great golfing spot tucked away in the woods of Lenoir that proves to be a nice getaway for the golf aficionado.

This club is perfect for a beautiful day playing golf. The staff are kind and helpful and the course is amazing. When playing, you are surrounded by mountains, creeks, ponds, and rolling hills. You can not beat the price. They recently updated the golf shop and it's no longer outdated. They sell all kinds of merchandise for players of any level. My family and I had a great day playing golf and enjoying the views.

the course is in good condition and the greens are good. the staff was friendly but one of the members was a real jerk. I was behind 16 green in the grass on the edge of the street and he had to stop and get out of his car and act like the local jerk. I will not drive on any more of his grass!!

Course is in great shape. New owners and pro are doing great things. By far the best value in NC

On 6-2-23 we were paired with another twosome and they are good golfers. Came to the 10th hole and the gentlemen in the pro shop asked us if we could speed up our play. We didn't believe we were playing behind pace and nobody behind us was pushing us. Didn't think much of at the time. Go back and play again on 6-4 with our own foursome and the same thing happened on the 10th hole asking us to speed up our play, this did not make us comfortable. After we skipped the 10th and got done playing, we did say something to the gentlemen in the pro shop. Basically, he told us in short, that members have priority. Apparently our money is not the same as member's! If you do not want or care about the public on your course, maybe you should close it to the public, so you can take care of your elite's!We will never go back and we live in a prestige's golfing community and we have put the word out!

This comment relates to the golf course. Went there Late September. Only nine holes were open, and those that were open had a half inch of sand on the greens. Yet they charged full price. Very disappointed and probably won't return.

Play here when I am up from Florida. Had the first tee off time on Sunday. All was going good until the back nine, when a foursome who teed off on number 10, instead of number 1, had everyone backed up. Had to skip 3 holes to reasonably finish the round. Spoke to the pro shop staff person and all he said was sorry. Totally unacceptable that they would allow this to happen. Last time I am playing here.

Played this course rather frequently. We were the first group off of #1 at 8am. Made the turn in an hr and a half. Once we got to #13 we were suddenly stopped by two foursomes that decided to tee off on #10. Alerted the pro shop when we quit and were offered no explanation other than, " must be the mountain group". The mountain group can go to hell and so can cedar rock.
