I am not really a wine drinker so the cats were really the selling point for me here. Pleasantly surprised by the experience overall - the location, the cats and yep, even the wine. John, the owner, was an absolute delight to sit and chat with about his wines. He keeps things natural in his wine making process and due to these wines not having tannins, extra sugar or any additional chemicals added into them you won't feel like crap after drinking them. I really enjoyed having a flight (along with some samples thanks to John!) and the company of the kitties here. Very nice place to spend an afternoon and you'll want to take home some bottles. Outdoor seating too. Can't wait to go back!

Visited Cats Paw off of a recommendation from a friend. It's off the beaten path a tad, which is typical of some wineries. Walked into a busy room, and saw a rather large cat on the stool at the bar. I thought a patron had brought their cat to the winery until I was informed that the cats are a part of the winery. There are 3 cats, I believe, that a part of the ambiance. Interesting concept. We were able to order a flight consisting of 5 wine tastings from their list of sweet & dry wines.

5/5 stars for service. The owner, staff, and other patrons were all super friendly. The owner came over and shared the story behind the wines and winery - even let me try an off-menu new wine which was so nice of him.4/5 stars for wine. They do not use tannins, so if you like dry wines, you probably will not enjoy these as much. They are more on the sweet/fruity side, though they have several "unsweet" options. I did two flights (5 tastings each) - the June special and my own. Out of the 11 wines I tried (including the off menu one), I liked 8-9 of them. Pretty good! Some of the fruitier ones were more like an alcoholic capri sun than a wine. Do not expect your traditional wines, because these are not them! They try to use far less chemicals in the process, which I appreciate. They do NOT have food (only free popcorn and cheese/crackers for purchase) but allow you to bring your own. 5/5 for having cute and friendly cats around There's also lots of table games and indoor/outdoor seating. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

A fun little one-man Winery tucked away and in the basement of the owner's house. What started as a personal hobby/passion has turned into a legit agro-tourism business that draws in the locals. The owner imports fruit juices from global suppliers and then adds his special and proprietary formulation. There are NO Muscadine grapes to be found... But interesting use of Peach and Pear juices as well as grape. There are sweet wines that are sweet, but NOT overly sweet. There are dry-wines too that lack the body of the tannins or more complex and weird flavors. All the vintages appear to be made on-site in the basement or the newly expanded shed on the property. Wood chips are used to add 'barrel flavors' and everything appears to be ?fermented? in plastic barrels. Not sure if any fermenting happens or if simply alcohol is added... Did not get all the details, but the owner is SUPER friendly, nice guy that is living the DREAM!!! Retire and open up your own winery... and simply WALK (downstairs) to work every day.You bring your own food/cake and party with friends inside where it is nice and warm during the winter, or outside on the well furnished patio with a fire-pit and laser lights lighting up the forest. Staff is SUPER friendly and knowledgeable about all the selections and helpful in creating a tasting or a flight of choice. Plenty of FRESH-POPPED popcorn is available and they staff is ALWAYS refilling it!I have to say that the customer service here is BETTER than ANY winery I have every been to... the knowledge the staff has, the attention to ALL the Customers... the friendly attitudes.I only wish that the wine itself was a bit more complex, less sweet and well... made in a more old-fashioned way??Also, if you are ALERGIC to CATS... DO NOT COME HERE... there are 3 beautiful felines that own the inside... they are in the tasting area, they are on the cat-tree, they are in the production room, their litter box sits just next to the mixing barrels... they sit up on the rack just above the working benches.... i have a feeling they are everywhere and INSIDE everything... if you get my drift. Also, I wish the staff had a 3-cabinet sink... you know, one that you can WASH, RINSE and SANITZE the tasting glasses... and not just a bucket...

I had the best time here! Such a great variety of wine and loved hanging out with the kitties! Morris came and sat next to us our whole trip and I loved the complimentary popcorn. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating and the staff were abundant and soo friendly! They all genuinely looked excited and happy to work there. Next time I come back I'm trying to a slushee. See you sooon!

Super cute local winery . Tucked away within a residential neighborhood I found the property to be quaint and charming . Keep in mind this is not a vineyard and they don't grow grapes on the property . Make sure to partake in the wine tasting . The offerings change monthly and you get to try five different wines plus you keep the cute cat commemorative glass. A wine tasting costs only $10 . You can also try a wine flight or wine by the glass. I tried 10 different wines and my favorite by far was the Purrr-fect Chilean Merlot: powerful fruit and spice flavor with a supple finish. I am not a fan of super sweet wines so if you aren't either , you will enjoy the merlot. The owner John was very welcoming and friendly , as was his pet kitties . We met two furry wine mascots and they were both very docile , laidback and ready for scratches ! They have a small gift store featuring t-shirts , glassware and other items with the brand logo . I definitely recommend Cat's Paw winery and will return if I'm in the area again !

The location was great, the atmosphere felt homey, the seating options were great. The different wine flavors and the pricing were great. My friends and I decided to go there and try it at the recommendation of another friend and tiktok. Everything was going great and my best friend and I were actually going to buy a couple bottles to take home, we liked it so much. But then the owner (I think his name was John), came over to ask how we were doing, and if we were sent over by tiktok, and we said "partly so" and explained. And then he said he doesn't know anything about the app but that the "Chinks" made it, and if the "Chink's app keeps driving people over and making us money" that "hell, I'd even try to speak some chink chong". And continued to keep referring to the Chinese in that manner.I get that his viewpoint might not reflect that of the other younger family members who work with him. And i get that most old southern white men are inherently racist, but that doesn't mean I can in good consciousness sit idly by, let alone support it. Especially since he is the owner. So we did not buy anything more and will not be back.

Traveled 30 minutes out of our way to visit one of the few wineries in this area, to find multiple signs along the driveway stating "no children allowed, of any age". We were very shocked by, and disappointed in the discrimination against parents. Especially new parents, like ourselves, who have an infant that would have gone unnoticed. But with such a nasty welcome, we were not even going to ask if we could come in. To further the inconsideration, no signs were posted by the road, or on Yelp, to warn parents not to pack their kids up, with a backpack full of essentials, drive into the middle of nowhere, and think you're going to be able to have a fun family outing at this place, because you're NOT welcome...to say the least!
