Honestly this was a last resort place in the Elizabeth neighborhood that we tried as all the others were busy kinda in between brunch and dinner. American food wasn't what what we wanted but this is what they have. Surprisingly! This turned into a great experience. The place is super nice inside and they have a great oval bar. Booth's, tables and high tops and some outdoor patio seating which is basically on the pavement. We got a nice high top by the bar. They have half price bottles of wine on sundays so that was a nice win also! We got a nice bottle of cava for $22! We did have to ask them to put it in cooler as our sever just left the bottle on the table. Service in general was ok I felt the sever took along time to come to our table and then wasn't very knowledgeable . Par for the course these days. We tried the Parmesan fries for the table and they came out nice and hot with a truffle aioli and ketchup. I liked they were hand cut fries. I shared the Gemelli pasta with my cousin and this dish was awesome. I love they split the dish for us . It's plenty for one person shared. This had lots of mushrooms, truffle oil and mushroom cream and Parmesan reggiano . Quite a filling high quality dish with a lot of rich flavor. Yum. Also in the table the Ditka burger and fries. Again another well put together dish. The fries were hand cut. The burger was cooked exactly as asked for. Came fully loaded. I tried it and even though I'm not a burger girl, this had so much flavor and again high quality. Presentation was also great. I'm sure this burger is one of their most popular orders. We look forward to coming back here in a couple of weeks for brunch. Great to know that even though the pasta isn't on the brunch menu that you can request it in advance when you make a reservation. Which we will! I would come here for a drink at the bar also. Had a nice vibe. Love a nice outcome when you're not really expecting it.

My meal 3/5, service and ambiance boosts my rating to 4 star overall. I ordered the lobster roll and fries, it was $22 - pretty cheap for a lobster roll. As soon as it came out, I saw exactly why. This is basically a shrimp roll with a sprinkle of lobster. The bread was really good, but the filling was just - meh; fries were fine.Our waitress was super nice and attentive. She made it an enjoyable experience.Free parking is attached to the building. Bring your ticket in and they validate for 3 hours. This helps you enjoy your meal in peace.

This place is a gem! I visited in December and had a lovely lunch - my server recommended the Sonoma salad, and I was far from disappointed. I added the lemon poached shrimp, which I recommend. I also enjoyed a holiday-themed cocktail which was inventive and fun.Made it back to Catalina a couple of weeks ago for a Saturday brunch and was even more impressed. Service was as good as I remembered, but this time it seemed like they had stepped it up from an already great experience! Enjoyed oysters, the whipped burrata (the bread is delicious), and the absolute standout: the California deviled eggs. They were fantastic. Can't say enough good things about them.Also, pro tip: Catalina will validate parking for the garage. :) Excited to go back and feast on more of those deviled eggs.

Had a nice date night at Catalina. It was easy to make a reservation online with a couple days advance. I like that this place offers a happy hour on food and drinks- we took advantage of the tuna/wontons and the meatballs offered on this menu. Both were delicious and I really enjoyed the polenta served with the meatballs. For entrees we had the steak frites and mahi mahi tacos. The tacos were garnished with a delightful and mildly spicy slaw. The steak, which we ordered medium, was very tender and perfect for sharing. We had a bit of a snafu getting our parking validated, it turns out the system was malfunctioning on the night we visited, but ultimately were able to fix the problem. It was nice to see a busy restaurant with great staff! We will be back!

I recently celebrated my birthday with a luncheon at Catalina Kitchen & Bar, and it was great! From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a special celebration.The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Bunny Huevos Rancheros - a flavorful dish that was as satisfying as it was beautifully presented. Every bite was a perfect blend of textures and bold flavors. For dessert, the birthday sundae was unexpected, but, still, an absolute treat. Y3eah, it was indulgent, but it was beautifully crafted, and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal.The staff were attentive and friendly, adding thoughtful touches that made the celebration feel very special. Catalina Kitchen & Bar truly knows how to make a celebration unforgettable. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my birthday and can't wait to return.

So good! The food and service were great. We ordered the parm fries to start and had the Rigatoni and Big Caesar salad to split for entrees (which they split for us in the kitchen!). Everything tasted great. We also sat outside where they have heaters.

Food is excellent , staff very friendly , prices are very reasonable , beautiful ambiance. Been there many times and would go again and again. I tried the bread pudding and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Can't pick which one is better , I would recommend to order both.

Why didn't y'all tell me about Catalina sooner? We had a great time. First off, validated parking--a win. Emerson was awesome. I had a spicy marg, and my friend ordered a limoncello drink--both solid.The brussell sprouts were a 5/5, seriously blew me away. Bread was good. Both of our entrees were delicious. We couldn't stop talking about how amazing everything was. Definitely coming back.
