This is for the Open Swim area: It's pretty easy to do and find online that you need reservations and a waiver for each person. I would recommend the 3:45pm to sunset option if you are going in the summer time. The whole grassy area and patio is in the shade which was so nice. The life guards are friendly and we were able to try all the jumps around the area. 30$ per person, including the 5$ reservation fee. It's cash only once you're there, so plan ahead. When we arrived, we also got a 5$ coupon for the restaurant so technically it's like 25$ a person if you end up buying food. The food was reasonably priced and was good quality. They have beer on tap too that was 6$ for about a 12oz. Lots of areas to jump off and space to swim around without it being too crowded. You'll have to do a swim test which is really easy. You jump in, swim to the platform, tread water for 1min, and then swim to the exit ladder.

Cash only. Came here for apple picking (must make reservation ahead of time)! The reservation system was nice because it never felt crowded. There were no signs indicating the type of apples you are picking, but the ones I have tasted so far have been great! It is $15/person for apple picking and that includes a hayride and one bag you can fill up with apples. There was a food truck there also selling apple cider donuts for $2/ea.

Carrigan Farms is the best coolest pumpkin patch I've been. The delicious cider and apple cider donut; the ride; the beautiful patch it was just so peaceful. My mother, daughter and I had a wonderful time. The price per head is absolutely perfect. It's sososo worth it. I recommend. PS when you arrive at the Maine front house where the pumpkin La for purchase are lined up you'll notice a residence and there might have a few cars parked in front... it may look like you can park there, but you can't. It's the private home of the farm owner family. I suggest they put a sign ;) but in case they don't and if you read this now you know. This is certainly one of my favorite places to visit on pumpkin season.

ADD Carrigan Farms to your North Carolina summer Bucket-list asap ! I thought i reviewed this place here but realized I didn't so here I am ! I invited some friends to come out with me for some fun in the sun to this hidden gem destination located in Mooresville, NC over the summer .We legit had a blast from the past here .Carrigan farms is a 25 feet quarry all the way around , you can jump from different heights and they are known for their famous rope swim where you can swing off into the lake Tarzan style . One thing to note or know ahead of time is in order to participate in that you must demonstrate a full pull up ! One thing I will mention is they practice safety first heavy out here ! In order to swim there without a lifejacket you must also pass a swim test which I think is awesome and they have more than enough body guards on stand by there . You must register online and they are cash only upon arrival. Two sessions are available all summer until Labor Day one being from 10am-3pm & the other from 3:46pm to sunset ,$30 per person. Here they offer a variety of food from burgers hot dogs snow ones and more along with alcoholic beverages and no outside food is allowed .I suggest bringing a lawn chair because it is a cool sand side area where you can lay out in the sun or set your lawn chair, also on site is a covered picnic table area with shade and volley ball area . Carrigan farms is for all ages and this is definitely the must do for everyone this year .Book your reservation for open swim on carriganfarms.com

This spot is cash-only, so make sure you're prepared. It includes a hayride and what they call a "petting zoo," though I wouldn't really call it that. We bought some apple cider donuts, but unfortunately, they were cold and just thrown into a grocery bag. It wasn't a bad experience, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Yesterday, my husband and I decided we needed to get out and do something fun. So, we went out to pick pumpkins. From the moment we arrived everyone was very nice. We paid for our tour, which included a hay ride tour to pet some animals, and a walk through the pumpkin patch. We were able to pick one pumpkin per person. While we waited for everyone else to finish picking their pumpkins we ended up speaking with our driver and she was unbelievably kind. After it all I can't remember her name, but she helped make that day even more memorable. Long story short, we had a fun day with great company.

We really enjoyed this place. Beautiful, water filled quarry in which to take a nice mid-summer dip. The water was lovely, the staff was super nice, (life guards everywhere!!), good food at fair prices, the whole place was clean. Definitely recommend!!The only thing I can't recommend is attempting to speak with the owner. I had a simple question (I wondered if they had a "membership" option). My friend went to the window of the information hut, the same place you buy your ticket, to ask the question. There was a woman sitting in the hut, my friend said, "May I ask you a question?" The person, later identified by an employee as the owner, responded curtly, "I'm busy." My friend just stood there as the owner reached over and slammed the window shut in her face. We were all stunned by the unprofessional, mean attitude. And yes, an employee heard the interaction and ran over to apologize and ask if he could answer the question.Place - A+Staff - A+Owner - F (maybe it should be an A for ass).

This was our 2nd visit; our first being last year. Both experiences were very consistent and positive. Upon entering they will check your bags for outdoor food/drinks so ensure you know ahead. You can bring water in but that's really it. However the food and drinks sold onsite are reasonably priced and the food is farm to table and really good (burgers, grilled chicken, pizza, hotdogs, salad, etc. The pico is delicious! Kids also enjoyed the snow ones. Staff is super friendly and plentiful including lots of lifeguards. After checkin you'll want to grab a life vest unless you want to attempt the swim test (which is no joke). Majority of people there are wearing vests, and we preferred having them not to tread water the entire time. It's DEEP! There are plentiful tables/chairs under a covered pavilion. I also recommend bringing your own outdoor chairs for the lawn area and finding a spot to lounge if not in the water. You can choose to jump into the water from several areas with lifeguards on duty, or walk out into the water. It's absolutely beautiful and CLEAN, and so refreshing even in the high outdoor temps. If you choose to do the swing, you'll need to prove you can do a pull-up so be prepared. Overall great experience for our group including adults and kids of all ages. We will definitely be back!

Had a great time at the swimming hole. The place was clean and had a lot of lifeguards available. Food was good and pretty good price. The only thing is I wish the entry is cheaper, $30 is pretty steep.

We've been to Carrigan Farms twice now; once for apple picking and the second for pumpkin picking. Both times were a roaring success for the entire family. Everyone who works here were just lovely and helpful. Both events included a hayride out to the picking area and back, and a visit to a tiny petting zoo. The apple picking includes a 5 lb bag for apple you pick and the pumpkin picking is any pumpkin in the field. Both times we all were satisfied with what we got. We had to make reservations on their website with a small cash deposit beforehand and then pay the remainder in cash on the day of. That was smart, because it controlled the flow of people at the event. They have other events throughout the year and we are looking forward to them!
