Carolina Cones

Today hubby wanted to take me to this cute ice cream parlor called Carolina Cones. It is very unique in quiet part of town. When you go in so many choices of flavors to choose from. We opted for salted caramel truffle, salted caramel pretzel and butter pecan. I got mine in a waffle cone. You can sit inside or outside. They even have a gazebo to sit under. This a great place if you're looking for a more relaxed environment. I highly recommend.

Love the retro flare that adorns every inch of this place. The service was quick, prices were decent (especially compared to others in the area), and the ice cream was tasty! There were about 20 flavors if I had to guess, so plenty of options as well.

Ambiance is so retro! Have been coming here since I was a little girl and it hasn't changed a bit! Keeps the magic of the early 2,000's and 90's alive with traditional flavors and decor and the staff are so sweet! Service is good! And food is always on point

Just cute is all I can say. Old fashioned ice cream that floods you with nostalgia. Lots of flavors and huge scoops. It's clean and simple as it should be since it's about the ice cream and not much else. It's great for the family with plenty of outdoor seating - tables with umbrellas- a deck with ample seating and park benches here there and everywhere. It offers rides and a few other attractions for the little ones. My chocolate raspberry was rich and delish in a old fashioned chocolate dipped cone. Be sure to check out the train riding the train up above- nice touch!

Excellent ambience and a wide variety of any flavour ice cream you could ever want! Prices are very reasonable compared with other places.

Step back in time at this Main Street Cornelius icon. Carolina Cones has been here for decades and for good reason: it's everyone's favorite locally owned scoop shop! Two counters with red soda shop stools, colorful vintage booths, and outdoor umbrella tables provide plenty of seating. Your favorites are here: cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, and butter pecan just to name a few. But they also serve up hot mini doughnuts, shakes, sundaes, soft serve, boats, and even Starbucks coffee. The prices are so reasonable. About $4 for a generous double scoop in a sugar cone. They even have an adjacent garden center with seasonal plants that are different than Lowes or Home Depot. I always come here for spring flowers. Lots of cute vintage toy vending machines give the kids somewhere fun to spend their allowance quarters on fake tattoos and mood rings. An old train track runs on the ceiling here - IYKYK - and I hope it never comes down. Pro tip: don't miss the playground on the side of the building for after that sugar rush hits. Great little shop just a few miles down the road, bummer that they're closed through the bitter Carolina winters because it's just that good and sufficiently large to accommodate vast crowds of ice cream aficionados in the most inclement of weathers without crowding.The typical assortment of sundaes are available to satisfy almost every taste or you can mess things up by asking for a custom creation. cups and cones can be had in at least five sizes and with a variety of toppings (including jimmies and pineapple) and bottomings (including cake and waffle cones)In good weather the play area outside has amusements for little people to work off their excess energy and hopefully leave them to tired to scream for more ice cream (as if...) inside is a clever train that circles the dining room continuously to my great pleasure.

The ice cream is awesome extreme number of flavors than in most ice cream shops. The cones are fresh and everything is fantastic here.

Great little ice cream place in this little town. Nice decor inside and out. Place was packed and bustling with customers. Too many flavors of ice creams and toppings to choose from. I went with simple raspberry truffle and a birthday cake scoop each. Both flavors were on point. Since we are here for a few days visiting relatives we will be coming here for to try more flavors

I asked for a chocolate and vanilla sold serve cone in a chocolate nut cone. The kid who prepared it apparently just poured a to of chocolate syrup over the vanilla ice cream. I took a bite and syrup dripped Everywhere All over me.I had to dump the syrup and ice cream in the garbage and tried to eat just the cone and it was not fresh at all. Waste of money because it all went in the garbage and hoping the stains will come out now.
