We met up with our friends to have a nice lunch and chat for a bit. The restaurant was spacious, has plenty of seating and we were immediately greeted by our server. Todays special (Tuesday) was beef stew and our friend go every Tuesday for this special. So we decided to go with the recommendation and we were not disappointed. It was fresh and tasty and the perfect comfort food. The Carolina Cheese bites were delicious. I had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and it was delicious. The Texas toast and dinner roll was not what we were expecting but it was editable. Overall this was a nice local place to eat and we've heard the speaks and burgers and amazing. We will come back to check both out.

Updated 1/7/2023. They have changed their hours (again) . Now open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Prices went way up. 2 egg breakfast with meat a side and bread is $10.50 compared to Smiths $6.99 including coffee. Tip... call before you go as it's a crap shoot if they're open as their posted hours. Just normal breakfast. Home fries are frozen. Had to ask for butter and jelly and a spoon to stir coffee.

It definite is not as good as it used to be under the last owner. The prices are quite a bit higher but the worst part is the steaks are not tender. They need to find out where the former owner bought their beef.

My boyfriend (male,20) and I (female,18) are an interracial couple, we were wanting to come eat breakfast this morning we came in and sat down, the owner was staring at us for most of that. The waitress gets us our drinks takes our order and comes back a few minutes later and tells us that the boss said we need to pay before we get our food at a very escalated tone to where multiple people start looking at us. not to mention everyone else who was there did not have to pay before they received their food. We didn't do anything to be treated like this.

Every time I've been here, the servers have been so kind to me and the food has been so delicious! I ordered a club sandwich because I hadn't had one in so long and it was so good! I also had a slice of carrot cake which was moist and yummy! I'll be returning here again and again!

The food has always been delicious... every time we go there !! They had at one time " Pretzel Bites", they were the best I have ever had and it should be on the menu, in my opinion !! Great staff too

Stopped by on a Friday for lunch and was seated right way. The staff was very kind and accommodating. It's very clean inside, which is always a good feeling when I take my kids in somewhere. Also their sweet tea is perfect!

Not from the area and had breakfast at Carolina Cafe. Fantastic service and food! Omelet and hash browns were delicious!

Appalled and will never step foot in this establishment! Could not believe how Mike I guess the owner talked to his employee whether he thought it could be overheard or not. Once you see someone's true self the food or ambiance or price or anything else is inconsequential. Basic kindness is easy, Southern hospitality can't be faked and I can't believe this place keeps any employees. I had to leave my meal uneaten and make my first yelp ever. Poor girl, I hope she quit. I hope they all quit. No excuse. A bad day doesn't make that happen, that's pure character. Zero stars- zero
