Been eating here for years just you old fashion fish camp. I have tried at least one of everything here and everything is good. Good old fashion food and staff and management is awesome but beware the hush puppies are like lays potato chips you can't just eat one lol best ones I have ever had and they bring a bowl out to each table. On Sundays this place is packed. Owner/manager goes to each table and talks to everyone.

This place was pretty fire and I don't even like seafood .my choice tonight was hush puppies and a deep fried fish fillet sandwich I thought I was just going to get like your regular fare of square deep fried processed fish but this was actually a whole fish fillet it came with a pickle and coleslaw in a healthy serving of hush puppies which were sweet and delicious will be back absolutely loved my fish sandwich. the tartar sauce was even good

I purchased 2-Prime Rib dinners from Captain Galley Seafood Restaurant in Hickory, NC on Friday August the fourth, 2023 for dinner Friday night.The prime rib dinners were the best prime rib dinners that we probably ever had eaten in our life's. It was a abundance of food and the price of the dinners was well worth it. Thank you for the great meals.

Let me just say that this place is a wonderful seafood restaurant in the south. I love coming to this place because it feels like the service and the kitchen staff really work to make sure that our dining experience is wonderful. I ordered the whole fish with a side of coleslaw and fries and let me tell you that I can only eat one side of the flounder fillet. I took the second half of the flounder home for the next day and it was still wonderful. I highly recommend everyone try out the whole flounder. We all return to this restaurant!

My mom wanted to go to this spot for Mother's Day and like any other spot it was crazy pack! We waited for almost a hour to be seated...I told her the food better be worth it! The food wasn't bad at all. Everything was hot, tasty and fulfilling. I'll definitely have to give this place another try when I come back home.

After a long day and the hunger pains was louder than my radio, it was suggested try this place out. Since I'm a picky consumer, telling me the food is southern made- yea right! You better follow the crowd and get ready to feast on something goot. The service was amazing and being a first time customer patiently explained the menu to me. I must admit that when the dessert tray came by going to another table I got distracted. The crab legs was delicious. I was thankful for the bib because my manners went out the window. The hush puppies ( did I forget to say I love hush puppies) were hot & plentiful. I was impressed that refilling of my sweet tea came without asking, questions and recommendations we're hospitable and even other customers chimed in on food suggestions. The price was very reasonable and even honored the military with a discount. The ambiance was this is a family friendly restaurant or even a business lunch. I saw healthy items up for those in restricted diets as well. So all can eat and come back again.
