Let's Be Real! sometimes being boochie about a place causes people to miss out on some really good food. Captain Steve's was more than I expected. I require good service, I enjoy good food, and if there's s an interesting twist in preparation.. IM Sold!This place accomplished all that and more. I eyeballed every dish that past by. All looked delicious and customers looked like they thoroughly enjoyed every thing. BUT, if you've not had their Greek Flounder, plus I added broiled jumbo shrimp, BayBay let me tell you, Finger licking good. I wish I had taken a picture, but honestly I inhaled my dinner. This place is casual and relaxed. Great portion sizes, reasonable prices for the family, and locally owned. YES Next visit, I'll update with photos prior to lifting my fork. lolGive them a try! They have two locations: Harrisburg and Fort Mill. My visit was the Harrisburg location, yet i'm sure the other is just as yummy. Enjoy!

Prior to going to Captain Steve's, I had only heard of it from my mom as she is a frequent visitor with her friends. Let me just say, I see why they visit so often. The food was sooooo good. The fish is so tasty and it's fried to perfection. They provide you with a substantial amount of food and I can almost guarantee you're going to ask for a box as soon as they put your plate down and as if you need anything else! While the food is great, just an FYI, everyone knows that. So, be prepared to bring an appetite but also your patience because it will be busy. The ambiance it provides a family type of outing and a chill experience.

My husband and I love coming here because the food is good but also the portions are huge! I have tried many plates from here and have no complaints! We always end up bringing food home. The service is always good and staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions. The decorations are cute as well. It's a sea theme.

Lunch on a Saturday afternoon exceeded my expectation. The parking lot was full. To my surprise we did not have to wait. Our server was busy! She did her very best to keep up with her section, no complaints. We ordered wings, fish and a fish platter. I ordered the salt and pepper seasoning for my fish. The pepper was a little over bearing but palatable. I will definitely return for the wings and blackened fish.

First off, don't believe the pricing online because it is wrong. Thus, the reason why I called first. When I called the staff who answered the phone told me that there were specials. I drove 20 mins just to get there and be told that the specials are only ran sometimes. The ppl at the counter knew I was telling the truth because that staff member walked in and admitted what she had told me and they still wouldn't honor the price. WILL NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. The Customer Service was very unprofessional AND the to tell you the truth- the food have not tasted the same since the pandemic. Save your money and go to the family restaurant up the street.

Wanted some seafood and my coworker recommended this place! And boy am I happy I tried it. Ordered pick up, during lunch they have the captain's platter for only $20, and you get a ton of food. It comes with a flounder filet, fried oysters, fried scallops, jumbo shrimp, baby shrimp, and deviled crab along with hush puppies. I had the coleslaw and fries as my sides. Let me tell ya this was able to feed two people with some left overs for the next day. Very satisfied with my food and will def be back to try something else. P.S. Get the chocolate cake!

Consistently great fried seafood. I love the combo platter with sea scallops and jumbo shrimp. Their onion rings are huge and delicious. Sweet potatoes are soft and scrumptious. I have eaten the broiled platter as well and like it too but prefer seafood fried.

Captain Steve's is one of my go to restaurants for fried seafood. I've been coming here for years. They never disappoint. It's a family owned restaurant and they have one other location in Charlotte. The restaurant is always packed, but you never have to wait an extremely long time. There is a ton of seating and they cater to larger parties. It's very family friendly and a great spot to have a birthday dinner. They give you a ton of food, that taste good and won't break the bank. I also love that they have a separate entrance for to go orders and are very efficient and organized.

I was in Charlotte NC visiting family so we decided to come to Captain Steve's for dinner. I'm so glad that I was taken to this restaurant because the food was excellent! I only wish there was a Captain Steve's in San Diego California where I live before I would be there a few times a week. I had the peppered flounder, baked potatoe, Cole slaw, fried shrimp, hush puppies with honey butter and a sweet tea. There was so much food on my plate I had to take half of it back to my hotel. Our waiter was so nice and he explained everything I needed to know especially Chillwine! I had never heard of it but I saw it on the menu under beverages. The restaurant had very nice decor and there was no wait time. We were seated as soon as we walked in on a Wednesday afternoon. When I return to Charlotte I will definitely be coming back to Captain Steve's! Excellent service, ambiance and true southern hospitality!

Ordered the fried jumbo shrimp and fries both were very good! My wife ordered the flounder and broiled jumbo shrimp as well, the flounder was very flaky and buttered and cooked perfectly. Excellent service and welcoming atmosphere our waitress Amy was very polite and willing to work with me as I wanted butter with my shrimp
