Phenomenal. Salchipapas = ridiculous, only feedback isIt needs shoe string fries not steak cut friesThe mariquitas was also ridiculously good. For our main entree we split the Cuban fries rice. Also so delicious I wish we would have ordered two.

Food: always consistent at both locations. I love the Cuban bread, yuca fries, and vaca frita. Service: this location in particular struggles in this area. It's the only reason for 3 stars, as we had a poor experience. We visited on New Year's Day, arrived with our baby in tow at 3:02 PM. There were only 2 other tables seated for the duration of our experience. We were handed lunch menus, and they are separate from dinner menus, not just a section. So we chose something from their $9-13 range lunch entrees. We order and about 7 minutes later our server comes back and says we ordered from the lunch menu and that ended at 3, our entrees would now double in price. Now look, I get it ended at 3, and had I been given a dinner menu I'd have no issue. But you handed me a menu with ONLY the lunch options. To me, the proper thing would have been to offer the dinner menu as it has different options, or let us have the prices we were shown. I never got a refill on my drink and the server barely checked in after that. Disappointing.

Having spent 30 years in Miami, where I enjoyed ceviche frequently, discovering Calle Sol during a visit to Charlotte was a so exciting!Firstly, the portions were generous -- we all opted for double portions and were not disappointed. The Aji Amarillo Ceviche was a standout dish, made even more delicious by the use of Argentinian red shrimp. These shrimp, known for their lobster-like texture, added a rich depth to the ceviche that I truly appreciated. There were also many familiar Peruvian and Cuban dishes on the menu that I was already fond of. Our waiter provided exceptional service. The mariquitas with cilantro aioli were yummy. And the Cuban bread was perfectly "aplastado," Calle Sol in Charlotte not only brings a taste of Miami's vibrant food scene but also sets a high standard for quality and service. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by to experience their excellent ceviche.Sorry I didn't take pictures of the food. I was overly excited when I saw my plate of ceviche !

Tried Calle Sol in South Park for the first time WOW the food we order was absolutely tasty and delicious. We order from the lunch menu and the price was great . My son order the classic ceviche $15.00 was a great deal and I order the Cuban Fried Rice with chicken $14.00 was also a great deal now the portion on the Cuban Rice is plenty for two people to share it so yummy . We had sweet plantains for dessert $5.00 so tasty . Love the atmosphere. The decor and colors are cheerful and colorful enjoyable music playing in the background. Service was great. I will definitely be back

Came to calle sol for my brothers birthday, absolutely delish!!! I got the cuban fried rice with shrimp. It was so flavorful and the shrimp had a lovely char flavor. We also got yocaquitos (amazing) and croquetas (also amazing), the true star of the apps was the cilantro aioli (11/10!!!!!). I got the pineapple mint marg and it was so refreshing. Everyones food at the table was fantastic and unique, we all shared. The portion sizes allow for leftovers! There was an incredible family feel, we loved our server kim! Shout out to her!! she was so so kind and even got my brother a bday slice of their dolce de leche specialty cheesecake and it left me speechless. Decorated really cute in there too!! I will definitely be going back:))

Honestly I LOVE Calle Sol and have been a fan since the original location opened in Plaza Midwood. I've been to the South Park location a couple of times now, and although I do love that it's more spacious... the SERVICE NEEDS WORK! Calle Sol better be glad their food will keep bringing me back until the end of time...it's SO DELISH!! But as for the service, I don't like it when my waiter shakes his head to tell me my drink choices off the menu were wrong. Every time we asked for something (sauce, limes, coffee, sugar, etc.) it seemed to be such a difficult ask. On this last visit, I finally figured out that we might have been rushed by our server because he was getting off his shift (got ready to leave before we got up to leave). Anyhow, this location doesn't give me the happy vibes I usually feel at the Plaza Midwood location for some reason. Hope it gets better!

OBSESSED.My first time trying Calle Sol, I got a 1905 salad. It was good! But I can't really give a place a proper rating based on a salad. Since then, I've been back twice and I fell deeper in love with each trip. Most recently, I tried the Lomo Saltado. If you're in Charlotte, drop what you're doing and get this for lunch. It. Is. Fantastic. Juicy, tender filet mixed with charred crispy vegetables and fries swimming together in the most perfect gravy. I could not stop eating it. The leftovers were just as good the next day. YES.My friends liked the fried rice and tallerin with shrimp. Everything we tried was delicious. This particular trip, we shared a 1905 salad as an appetizer which was perfect for us. Try it if you haven't!Lomo Saltado 10/10

Looking for brunch, my wife and I came upon this place. We love finding new spots and this one delivered. We were pleasantly greeted by Simon, as the host was serving others. He pleasantly offered a seat at the bar as we were waiting, but we waited for the table. Once we were seated, Simon took our orders and made some suggestions. I had the breakfast cuban sandwich with fries and it was delicious. My wife had the slow roasted beef. It was tender and delicious. The entire staff was pleasant and we will definitely be back. Make sure you get Simon, he's funny and as cool as a cucumber. The decor is warm and inviting.

Dined in on a Saturday around 5pm. Wait was about 1.5 hr but we grabbed seats at the bar. Bartender offered a new drink special described as a cross between a margarita and mojito 5/5 their classic mojito was also delicious 4.5/5. Ordered 2 entrees the catch of the day fish which was Chilean sea bass that night and the tallerin. Both dishes came out hot and tasty. Also a winner is the banana pudding tres leches 5/5. Everything was perfect that we experienced. Several staff members checked on us and everyone was friendly. Can't wait to go back!

We hosted a company dinner here and had a great experience. The food was excellent, the ambiance was very nice and casual. Drinks were perfect. The group dining prices were also more than reasonable. I would definitely host another event here. Special shout-out to Lauren, who made the entire planning process very seamless and easy. The chef even came out after the meal to make sure everything was satisfactory. We could not have picked a better place!
