Cali Colombian Restaurant

I'd like to say a few words about this restaurant. First off, this was me and my families first time here. I honestly didn't know what to order so I took a while and the waitress also helped me to pick. ( thank you for that) which was helpful and nice in my opinion. The food was AMAZING didn't expect the presentation of the plate to be so colorful and elegant. honestly a beautiful job. Thank you all. ( I could've took a picture but I started eating) Ps. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

What a disappointment! Make your orders right, Cali Colombian Restaurant! Today we ordered a picada familiar through Uber Eats. Because they usually give us a very limited amount of sauces for this large order, a worker previously advised me to call them after placing the order to request for the number of sauces we want. We did that today after placing our order. The employee who answered took the note that there were 8 cilantro sauces. We received our order at our home through Uber Eats and we realized that there were 4 sauces and it was only 1 of the 8 requested cilantro sauces. We immediately called and the employee on the phone asked us what was the name of the person who had taken the previous call and if we could go pick up the sauces. Of course we didn't and that's why paid extra for Uber Eats. Their establishment is far away from us. She apologized but that apology didn't help us swallow the hard, and dry picada we ate. A family portion of that size with only 4 sauces is an insult!

Lunch at Cali Columbian restaurant on S. Blvd. This place has only been open a few months. Atmosphere was hip inside with neon lights and handpainted murals on the inside and outside of the building. Most of the waitresses do not speak very good English. (Usually the sign of a great place ). They were all very nice and helpful. At lunch most tables were full, also a good sign.I have to say the juices did not taste fresh. More like they dumped a can of it into the milk. The food was just ok. It lacked any kind of seasoning whatsoever. I got the mojarra (fish) and it was over fried and dry. The chicken had the char of the grill marks as the only seasoning. They do offer it with a mushroom cream sauce, so perhaps it is better with that.However, the fresh baked pan de bono. Omg ! That is the best bread I've ever had in my life ! So soft with a melted cheese inside that is part of the bread (not filled with cheese). It instantly becomes squishy with the cheese once you bite it and tear it apart. They also have alfajores which are one of my favorite things on this planet ! The flan and tres leches I've had better elsewhere. Not sure if it's the way the Columbians make it vs. others or this particular restaurant, since often different countries have their own "take" on these desserts. The flan was lighter and the sauce over it was very light and watery. The tres leches was extremely thick and almost had a cornmeal flavor to it (I doubt it has cornmeal actually in it, that's just the best way to describe it). Important to note : I did not eat all these desserts in one sitting. Lol

Everything was fantastic! From the convenience of parking to the outside decor, it was a delightful experience. The attention as soon as we walked in. The menu is large and in charge! There are so many options. We ordered 5 plates and all hit the spot. We will absolutely come back until they open in Raleigh and highly recommend you to come and indulge in the experience. Everything was amazing!!!! I was miserably stuffed - so much food! I will be back! Oh, let's not even review the service... it was top notch! Highly recommended this restaurant! Bien rico todo!!!

I stumbled upon this restaurant. Employees were very welcoming and helpful. It seems like most people here are regulars. The spot is small, but the service is excellent. I was undecided on what to order, and the waitress patiently guided me to a delicious dish. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great authentic Colombian restaurant! Its a pretty small joint so be mindful when coming at peak hours as this place gets packed fast! I went in for linner with my husband, his mother, and our 1 year old daughter. My mother in law and husband are Colombian, and they really enjoyed this place. They said the vibes were perfect and food was delicious. My mother in law did say that the sancocho she ordered was not Cali (which is where she was born) that it was more Medellin style. Nonetheless it was delicious! I really appreciated that all the meals had English descriptions!

We returned to Cali for some delicious, authentic, and traditional food. It's a well-located spot, easily accessible within minutes for many people. We visited last week and had a great experience. However, this time, although the place is beautifully set up, the staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is amazing, I would like to offer a recommendation.The wait times between placing the order, checking on the table, and bringing the bill need to be more reasonable. While everything else is on point, these delays can significantly affect the overall experience. It's understandable to wait a bit longer occasionally, but when the wait becomes excessive, it impacts the experience negatively.We will definitely return, but I want to share this suggestion. Since it's a small restaurant, a bit more order and efficiency could really help with the wait times at some tables, though I'm sure it's not an issue for all.
