Cakeable Cafe

Their service was awesome, and so is their mission! Per their mission statement, "Cakeable Cafe is a vocational training nonprofit that equips adults who live with intellectual & developmental disabilities with employable skills." I love how they are able to build an inclusive workforce by employing skills in customer service, sanitation, and making handcrafted drinks.I ordered a Chai Latte with a shot of espresso, which had a pretty standard taste. They also have a variety of baked goods, which I learned they make at their own bakery and transport to this store. I got the Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie (they weren't kidding when they said "ultimate"; it had a lot of chocolate chips in it, of different sizes too). I don't think the batch I got was fresh because it had a date that was from last week, but it was refrigerated so it was okay. Overall, the cookie had a crumbly consistency and its taste was average; I did like it a little better after I heated it up.

The lemon muffin was perfect it hit the right spot. My chai latte (hot) was an excellent complement.The service - beautiful smile and very genuine.The atmosphere was filled will love. I am so grateful that I stop by this place who has a heart for people.

Cakeable is an amazing organization doing such great things in the community. The hot chocolate and lemon muffins at the Cafe are amazing!! (I don't drink coffee but I heard it's amazing too). Definitely stop by and check it out!!

Drinks and deserts are fantastic. Staff is great!! A "must visit" when you're in Charlotte!!

I love the vibe at this cafe. The young adults who work here always greet you with a smile. I love to see that they are given the opportunities to work. The chai latte is excellent!
