"If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food/pho, this is the place for you! I have been searching for a place like this in Charlotte for a long time! Their broth is phenomenal - both depth and flavor. The meat is surprisingly tender and delicious. Portion sizes are good. Service is usually quick, with the exception of my last visit. I have been disappointed by many places in Charlotte for pho, but this place does it right. Best pho in Charlotte! Highly recommend!"
"The best pizza I have had in Charlotte so far! I ordered the T. rex (which is essentially a meat lovers pie) on a Friday night. It took about 25 minutes to prepare. $24 in total. The pizza was delicious. It had such a generous portion of meat! The cheese was so fresh. The dough was the perfect texture. Each bite was soooo good! The 16" pizza was 8 slices and good for 2-3 people. Parking is a bit of a disaster, but once you get there, it's great! Indoor and outdoor seating."
Organic classic Neapolitan dough, ricotta, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce. Served on the side.

"Not a fan anymore After yesterday's visit, I just can't do their food anymore. After watching an unsanitary situation (gloves being used to wipe tables down then serve up food)Plus the food is super spicy for me. Margaritas are good though!"
"This place's food gave me great joy- lovely although the chutneys I ordered & paid extra for did not match the ones I got - mango pickle instead of onion chutney, but hey- it was still tasty. And authentic. Was wonderful to be able to order online & just pick it up. (You do kind of have to already be familiar a bit with Indian & this type of 'snack' food to order from here). Also, was frustrating that the ordering menu online for yelp was different than the ordering platform the store directly uses (larger more interesting!)The store platform required all my information- mailing address, etc.- for me to order online, which is ok for billing but....did not submit a card at that time. (And told me after confirming it received my order that I was agreeing to receiving promo contact from the seller- not thrilled about that either.)Appears that if you order in the store, you may need to pay debit or cash (can't totally confirm the details tho- I was starving when I picked up my food & read that in passing, with slight confusion). Did not include or offer any plasticware or napkins either for a sizeable to go order- guessing could have grabbed some on the way out. (In addition to other items, I bought 2 different curry meals which included rice & roti- also wonderful). All said, I'd definitely go back but would order & choose to dine in. Dining in ambiance is not more than a snack shop set up but just would be a nice change from taking out. Plus I spent way too much money by ordering at a distance Next time I'll slow down & take pics of the food I eat- we were ravenous and couldn't be slowed down for such things."
"Yum! We ordered the tabouli, the falafel hummus wrap, teriyaki tofu and quinoa and hummus. Everything was delicious!!! The tabouli is not what we are use to but I loved the crunchy vegetables and the beets! It was refreshing and a. Ice variation to a traditional tabouli. We can't wait to go back! Highly recommend this place!!"
"First visit & we plan to become regulars! Great selection of specialty pizzas or build your own. We started off with the Wolfbites & they were yummy. For pizzas, Hubby got Big Bad Wolf & I got the Maui. Both were delicious! Our new favorite pizzeria. Shay (Shea) took great care of us. She was very attentive and sweet. She is a big fan of the food, so that says a lot. There was plenty of seating so you didn't feel crowded. The acoustics were great. We could have conversation with no issues of hearing each other."

I had the great pleasure to dine at Doan's during a recent visit to Charlotte. Our friends dine her often and told me it was amazing, however as I have styled myself as a pho connoisseur I was skeptical. Luckily my skepticism was solidly, completely, entirely unfounded. The menu is extensive and has an entire vegetarian section which includes dishes such as spicy lemongrass tofu (delicious) and vegetable rice noodle soup (VERY YES). We tried both, and I was truly flabbergasted by the soup. The broth is incredibly complex and flavorful, and the addition of cauliflower to the typical veggies was a welcome surprise. The serving size of the soup is generous; those of us who ordered it were able to finish our bowls and were very satisfied. The inside is cozy, the servers are efficient and patient, and the pricing is quite reasonable for the quality and quantity. Doan's - if you're ever looking to open up a second location, I hear Louisville is a good place to be.

Dined here for the first time and was not impressed by the salad. The chicken was cold and seemed like it was bought and not cooked on site. The pizza comes in two sizes and the smaller one has an option of an ancient grain crust. The pizza itself was flavourful and my party loved theirs. I was disappointed that they didn't have wings because that's always my go to when visiting pizzerias. The hostess was kind and gave me a side of pimento cheese which helped the taste of the salad. If you like pizza, this is a good local place to try and support.

The most flavorful tacos you will ever try. Stopped by for lunch and as soon as you walk in the unique decor and atmosphere already grabs your attention. Ordered the chips elote & blanco queso and wow there is nothing more special than this combo. The queso was fresh and definitely high quality cheese, the elote was by far my favorite loaded with toppings alongside the blue corn tortillas. Then comes the tacos, the spicy tikka chicken is a must try. The chicken was so juicy yet crispy. The queso birria taco was my least favorite, wish it had more meat and it was lacking a bit in seasoning. The Kobe burger taco is delicious, definitely threw me off that it was a taco instead of a burger. Last but not least the mexi-cal shrimp taco is a winner, fresh shrimp alongside authentic Mexican flavors. Can't go wrong giving this place a chance, highly recommend.

Outstanding service! They are happy to help you decide what to get. Everything I have tried has been wonderful. I start to eat so fast and forget to take pictures of my food! I have visited about 5 times, every time I am anywhere nearby! Always consistently delicious!

10/10 amazing. The food and atmosphere is outstanding. The service was wonderful and Yanni was very personable. This is our new favorite place, hands down. I ordered a salmon salad, hummus and a side of chicken and everything was delicious and so fresh with Quiet and peaceful music playing the background.

Pizza was good. Nothing to write home about but better than other places I also place an order for breadsticks, which were very good.

I was surprised this was a fast casual price upon walking in but it sure was quick and delicious! I had the chips & queso that was the perfect portion. I also tried two of the steak tacos and the flavor was fantastic. It is a bit pricey but it checks out in taste, so definitely want to come back. They also have deals on Tuesdays!

First time here for me and second time for my wife who suggested the Tipsy Burro. Brought the family and my son's significant other for dinner before the Charlotte Independence game. Not fancy but not meant to be.Good food, in a great atmosphere, for good fun. Enjoyed the Trio app-salsa gauc and queso with a margarita and my wife had a glass of wine.Ordered the fish tacos- Spanish rice, refried beans. My wife ordered the chicken quesadilla My 2 daughters got the taco plate- one hard and one soft with friesMy son got the beef quesadilla His significant other ordered the taco plate with rice and beans.Great food enjoyed on the patio. I think next time I will get the quesadilla. It was huge and I tried my wife's and it was tasty.Service was awesome. Refilled kids drinks, bought extra chips for opposite end of the table, brought adult drinks in short order, etc.Great place close on the way to the city. Added the Tipsy Burro to my CLT Bars and Grills collection. Cheers!

"Loved this place! It's counter service with a variety of places to sit both outside and inside, love the decor as well. There is a variety of tacos from chicken, beef, pork, fish, and vegetarian. I went with the smash burger and rotisserie chicken and both were SO flavorful. My husband got the spicy tikka masala, Korean fried rice and chimichurri steak. I tried each of them and they were all good, chimichurri had more of a kick than I was expecting but still good! they have a kids menu and my daughter got the cheese quesadilla. They also have high chairs for both the low top and high top tables which is great! Will definitely be back!"
"We were nearby for the Christmas Show and were looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite before trekking back to Greensboro. This place was super close and had 4.5 stars on Yelp, so it was a no-brainer for us. When we pulled up, it looked a little sketchy and run down, but I don't like to judge a book by its cover, so we went in. There were a few people sitting around the bar and the bartender was chatting it up with them. It reminded me of a Cheers vibe, just completely different. What an eclectic place! It looks like an American Pickers dream! They're bathrooms are pretty neat too and they were super clean. The music was awesome, a Jimmy Buffet vibe; not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation, but loud enough to dance in your seat. The bartender was our server, which was fine because it was early and we had the place to ourselves, until others from the Christmas Show found it too. I had the Frito pie and my husband had the tacos. The food was so good! We had plenty to eat and even went home with a small box of leftovers. The chili on my Frito pie had just the right amount of kick for my taste. The queso was delicious, and my margarita was spot on too! Our only regret is that we live too far away!"
"What a great place. The food is amazing. The manager (?). helped us pick out the Sunday Special and combo #1. We got to try four kinds of bread and and 12ish sauces. This place will be on repeat for my family!"
"This was my first time visiting Love In Action Cafe. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the young man at the register. He asked if this was my first visit, and I let him know that it was. He went through the daily specials, with it being Tuesday, they had the taco Tuesday menu. After a few moments, I chose the cheesesteak and fries. I walked around the restaurant while I waited for my meal. I saw handmade jewelry, nutritional supplements, and even a free library in the corner. After I received my food, I took a quick picture. Wow! It looked delicious. And let me tell you it tasted awesome. If I didn't know it wasn't meat, I would have been totally fooled. The fries were cooked too perfection. Crispy outside, soft inside. Just like I like them. They made a fan out of me today. I'll definitely be back to try other items on theirs menu."
"Wasn't Lee surprised by both the size and freshness of my kale chicken Caesars salad. Just the right amount of salad dressing,"
"My husband and I love Indian food, and decided to try Sri Balaji Kitchen, a vegetarian restaurant specializing in South Indian Cuisine. When we sat down, they brought small cups of a cold beverage made with spices and a bit of sugar. It was tasty, but I would have preferred an unsweetened version. We started with one of our all-time favorite appetizers, the Tandoor Sizzling Paneer. The paneer was served on a sizzling cast iron skillet on top of shredded cabbage, and included green peppers (but no onions). On the side, they provided mint chutney and a semi-sweet sauce. The paneer was delicious. It wasn't crispy, but the marinade they used was fantastic, and we especially loved the mint chutney on the side. The menu said this was spicy, but I'd give it a 5/10 in terms of heat. We've only had dosas once before so we went with a simpler one, the Ghee Dosa. It was delightfully crispy and light, and the sauces were OUTSTANDING--especially the two red ones (one predominantly garlic, and one predominantly red pepper). The sambar soup was also tasty. The light green sauce was good as well, but I didn't reach for it as much as the two red sauces. We also tried the Paneer Butter Masala. The sauce was rich and delicious, and the paneer was perfect. I actually ate a few spoonfuls of the sauce once we had eaten all of the paneer--the sauce was that good! The dish comes with rice, and we added butter naan.We were stuffed when done, and didn't have any leftovers. We loved all of our choices, and can't wait to return and try a few other dishes!"
