"My fave place for queso in Charlotte! The chicken chimichangas are also really yummy, and a deal for getting a combo (you can decide to get one, two, or three) and there's really only like a dollar difference between alll of them, so you might as well get two or three and have some leftovers for the next day! I've gotten the taco salad before too, and the tostada one, which were both good, but my go to is still the chimichangas! Service can sometimes be slow, even when you're the only person there, but it's because they get a lot of to go orders (which I feel like is how they survive), so just be patient. Service is always friendly though, and they're always happy to get you more chips and salsa as you wait for your food or get it to go for leftover queso. It's pretty quiet inside, although the music can sometimes be loud, but it's nice giving it a nice atmosphere! My only thing is that you get sooooo much more queso if you order it there, eat some, and then get a to go container for the rest. If you just get a to go order of queso, their container is like half the size so you get much less queso. Though the queso is very good - it's white queso and just very tasty."
"Fast and friendly service, came for dinner on a Friday night and got seated immediately. Got a taco platter with 3 different tacos and a burrito. Both dishes were really good and the salsa that came with the meals had some heat. Overall a good place to have Mexican food. Decor was pretty cool with lots of pictures on the wall that have Mexican themes."

"In town for business and here are my thoughts :Service was good ...had a grilled chicken sandwich and frings ..they were tasty ..Unsweet tea was good ..really no complaints and a straightforward good experience."
"I am updating our review as it's been 2 years since we found Birritaco...and it is still 5 stars! The best part of my son needing to play basketball in Concord is knowing I'm stopping to get some tacos. Everything we have had at this restaurant has been delicious...and we have been multiple times. Margaritas, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, etc all delicious. Service is always helpful and kind and the place is clean. Always a MUST stop for us!"
"Not a fan anymore After yesterday's visit, I just can't do their food anymore. After watching an unsanitary situation (gloves being used to wipe tables down then serve up food)Plus the food is super spicy for me. Margaritas are good though!"
"Look for the sign that says Tamales if you blink you will miss it. A small unassuming building is a church on one side and a restaurant on the other. Not really sure what to expect was pleasantly surprised the restaurant was bright and clean. The gals running the place this day were sweet but speak little English. That said keep an open mind and a good attitude and you will get what you want. Two chicken tamales were ordered came in a red sauce instead of verde. Was a bit disappointed until tasting them. Texture was right and had plenty enough filling. Three containers wete placed in front of me. Verde a green salsa, red salsa and crema if needed.Taking my time staryed looking around. There are two menues one written on a board the other over head. Not knowing Spanish was still able to understand some of the menu and the prices. If in the area do give this place a try."
"We dined here on a Friday night to support a friend who was participating in a comedy show. Despite having a reservation, there was some difficulty in seating us with the rest of our group. However, they were up adding extra tables and chairs to the group to accommodate us. Service was a bit slow, which is unusual for a Mexican restaurant. We had to ask for more chips and salsa to accommodate the larger party size. However, the chips were hard and did not taste fresh. When we requested more, the newer batch tasted the same, just warmer. I had veggie fajitas (without olives). The food was just ok. It did not taste seasoned. Definitely wouldn't be on the top of my list of places to return to."
"Loved this place! It's counter service with a variety of places to sit both outside and inside, love the decor as well. There is a variety of tacos from chicken, beef, pork, fish, and vegetarian. I went with the smash burger and rotisserie chicken and both were SO flavorful. My husband got the spicy tikka masala, Korean fried rice and chimichurri steak. I tried each of them and they were all good, chimichurri had more of a kick than I was expecting but still good! they have a kids menu and my daughter got the cheese quesadilla. They also have high chairs for both the low top and high top tables which is great! Will definitely be back!"
"Absolutely awesome, real Mom & Pop southern Mexican style food! Their homemade tamales are like no place in town, various taco are plenty full and great too . Pasole, awesome soup and my go to place!"
"I had the barbacoa and chicken tacos (1 of each), the free chips and salsa, and a Jarrito soda. No complaints at all. Service was VERY quick and everything was fresh and tasty. The dining room was also very clean and staff was friendly. Can't wait to come back to try the huarache."
"I have been waiting to try this for a while now. My friends and I were downtown Rock Hill and were hungry for a late lunch so we decided to stop by this place. We were sat right away and greeted with the kindest smile. We ordered drinks and tacos which came out in a decent amount of time. The margarita was strong but good. The tacos were different for sure in a good way. They were unique in a way but the flavor was there for each one that I had. Everything was amazing from the food to the drinks. If you want to try new and different I would want to suggest this place."
"Purely by chance we happened to arrive right when they opened--what perfect timing! The menu is simple and easy to follow, which made ordering a breeze. We decided on the camaron, carne asada, and birria tacos, and they were all absolutely delicious with just the right amount of kick. The Al pastor burrito, on the other hand, was massive--definitely a meal in itself! The interior is simple and has a relaxed vibe, making it a great spot to enjoy a casual meal. The friendly customer service added to the experience, and I loved that you can watch them cook right in front of you since the kitchen is adjacent to the dining space. The only thing I'd change? I wish they'd fill my cup all the way to the top--I love horchata and wanted every last drop!Overall, El Mano Tacos is a great spot for delicious, no-fuss Mexican food. Highly recommend!"

My best friend was getting married and wanted a place to host her rehearsal lunch with a party of 30. Maria the manager was so kind and so flexible. She allowed the food to be on one ticket and for everyone to pay for their alcohol beverages separately. She also offered that we could make a set menu from dishes on their lunch menu and even made it personalized by putting their names on the top. I mean how nice and cute is that! When we walked in, it was set up so nicely where we were all able to see one another. This place does not have a private room but it felt like we were in one. This restaurant is not huge but she made it feel like it was. We had three servers and it made ordering so much easier. We got queso, guacamole and corn as our appetizers. They were able to put one at each section to make it easier to share. Everyone enjoyed their food. They all said how delicious it was! It was a wonderful experience!

WOAHHHH. How did I not know about this place until now?! While looking for some tacos for Cinco de Mayo, I saw them on Yelp. My expectations for authentic Mexican food were low, but I was so pleasantly surprised. It's worth noting there were mostly Mexican patrons in the restaurant (which is a VERY good sign). The tacos were BOMB. Authentic and amazing. I got three: carnitas, barbacoa and asada. Barbacoa was my favorite by far, followed by carnitas then asada. That being said, all were very very good. Their salsa is also great-- usually I find restaurant salsa to let me downed but their salsa was very fresh tasting and nice and salty. Was hoping for margaritas but they only have bottled beer-- stuff like Corona and Modelo. Now if they could add micheladas to their menu....... I will be back to try the rest of their menu!

We tried here today in search of a venue for my daughter's wedding dinner. The food was delicious! I had the Sloppy Joseph with potato salad. Best potato salad I've ever had in a restaurant! My daughter had the fettuccine with blackened chicken. For appetizer we had the pretzels. Our service from Kayla was fantastic! She's friendly and always with a smile. Ian met with us about renting the upstairs area, Pontiac room for the wedding dinner. Prices for catering was on point and the space perfect for what we need. He was very nice and on top of everything in the restaurant.

Yummy! Wonderful menu with larger than life photos making every item sound delicious. There are a lot of dishes here that I don't see at usual restaurants and I can't wait to come back again. I love the Mexican ramen, especially the roasted corn. I took off one star for parking alone, because the parking lot was packed but when I went inside only like 3 tables were filled So, not even sure if coming at an off time is helpful, you just have to get lucky with finding a spot.

The most flavorful tacos you will ever try. Stopped by for lunch and as soon as you walk in the unique decor and atmosphere already grabs your attention. Ordered the chips elote & blanco queso and wow there is nothing more special than this combo. The queso was fresh and definitely high quality cheese, the elote was by far my favorite loaded with toppings alongside the blue corn tortillas. Then comes the tacos, the spicy tikka chicken is a must try. The chicken was so juicy yet crispy. The queso birria taco was my least favorite, wish it had more meat and it was lacking a bit in seasoning. The Kobe burger taco is delicious, definitely threw me off that it was a taco instead of a burger. Last but not least the mexi-cal shrimp taco is a winner, fresh shrimp alongside authentic Mexican flavors. Can't go wrong giving this place a chance, highly recommend.

This restaurant has great service for the most part . I love that they wear cultural clothing and the ambience of the restaurant is cool also . I will say the decor seems a bit old but that may just be because it's the style , I really don't know but it seems like it could use an update . I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was terrible . I mean I couldn't taste much past the cheese and I asked for light cheese. My mom had something with steak and her meal was not even hot. The ceviche was the best part however it took around 25 minutes to get the ceviche. Plus the shrimp was deveined. While dining we had a drunk man come to our table asking us weird questions and the restaurant owner had to put him out. If your looking for something eventful then this may be the place for you .

I was surprised this was a fast casual price upon walking in but it sure was quick and delicious! I had the chips & queso that was the perfect portion. I also tried two of the steak tacos and the flavor was fantastic. It is a bit pricey but it checks out in taste, so definitely want to come back. They also have deals on Tuesdays!

"Full plates have arrived.!The branzino was pan fried and delicious. Both halves--a full fish. The couscous was nice and the small vegetable salad was satisfying. Too much food for me to eat at lunch. As always, my companion chose 2 tacos and chips. We took most of the chips home. I will absolutely try all the other plates on upcoming visits."
"We have been here quite a few times and have always had a great experience (we have also ordered on Uber eats). Everyone is very friendly and it is a great little spot. Love the enchiladas - they are always absolutely packed with delicious chicken. The margaritas are great (of course) - try the flight - but I also really enjoy the agua fresca on booze free evenings. Enjoy!"
"This is a nice Spanish food restaurant chain in NC. I got the Cuban rice bowl. The meat and the plantain was very juicy. The rice and beans were also delicious. The prices were really good for what you get. I paid about $11.00 for the bowl. I don't know how many locations they have but I will look that up. Not like NYC but it is close."
"I got the taco platter. 3 different tacos and couldn't eat them all. So much meat. Plus a side. My dad got the brisket grilled cheese and loved it. Definitely going back"
"I was apprehensive to go here due the mixed reviews. My friends planned a meetup here so there I was. My meal, the poblano fajitas, was fantastic! It's a new menu item. I got it with chicken, there's a little cream, a little cheese, corn, chicken, and thinly sliced poblanos that added just enough kick. If you are spice averse don't get it but if you can tolerate a little you will be ok. It felt healthy as it wasn't smothered in fats, just enough to cool the kick. So balanced! Next I was super impressed with the Dale Chihuly style glass art which was everywhere! As an art lover it was worth going just for that. Our waiter was great and had our group of 5 wanting for nothing. The food came out in a reasonable time. My only complaint is that it was too warm in there granted it was 96 at 6:30 pm. However I read another post about it being warm so I don't recommend going on a hot summer day. I can't wait to go back for more good artsy Mexican food!"
"I tried this place out for the first time today!Recently moved to Charlotte and was recommended by coworkers! I'm satisfied.Very authentic (I need to learn Spanish ASAP) lolBut on tuesdays they have a taco Tuesday deal on tacos for $1.49. I got three carne asada and a pint of ceviche for under $10! It is yummy! I'm in love & will definitely be coming here again for lunch on Tuesday's"
"LOVE LOVE LOVE the bulgogi tacos!!! Service was amazing! This was my first time visiting and I am so exited to come back."
"So I only stayed for drinks and got chips and salsa. Which surprised me weren't free like in most Mexican restaurants. These were $7 which he typed in himself so I'm not sure if he just decided to charge me on his own or what. Anyways for $7 I would expect my chips to be hot and fresh not stale. The salsas that came with it left much to be desired the Verde sauce tasted like the jar sauce from Heinz. The menu doesn't give you prices for drinks so make sure to ask to avoid any crazy totals. My margarita was all sour mix and her Jameson and ginger was all soda. Overall drinks were poorly made. The restaurant itself was basically empty and it still took about ten minutes to get those drinks. The place is covered in contrasting elements. It's a very busy look."
"Love these tacos they are so good! I drive all the way from Ballantyne for these! They are located in a good truck right in the gas stations parking lot."
"After moving here from LA a few years ago, I missed authentic southern californian mexican. Chanchos did not disappoint! I tried the shrimp tacos, veggie burrito and chips and salsa. Everything was so fresh and just delicious! I could drink that salsa it's so good. We did wait a bit, but I would just wait in the car next time. This food is worth the wait! I believe they have two trucks and now I know why. Check them out now!"
"I've been hearing of chatter about Mariah's Taco Spot which is a food truck filled with taco goodness. Marriah's offers five varieties of tacos; chicken, beef, chipotle surf & turf, salmon and shrimp and for the chicken wing lover they offer chicken wings with your choice of two tacos and seasoned rice; be sure to get the baby oil to dip the wings in and to drizzle it on the tacos.Marriah's is not like your average food truck, if you miss her at her Freedom Drive stop you literally have to follow her on instagram to see where she'll be next. Besides having great fresh cookedfood Miles and the rest of the crew still take time with the customers, even with the lines wrapped around the corner you get service with a smile."
"Lately I've been on the hunt for birria tacos. Stumbled upon this food truck for lunch. Whoa! I didn't know they would be this good! The perfect mix of authentic Mexican food and food truck vibes. The food was ready in about 5 minutes. BIRRIA...I LOVE YOUUU! Also had 2 al pastor and 2 chorizo tacos. Very fresh and tasty! You can't miss this food truck. It sits between Home Depot and Firehouse Subs near South Blvd and Woodlawn. Thank me later!"
"Excellent place. The Skinny Margarita was perfectly tart and the enchiladas verde was spot on. Our server Gavin was so helpful and attentive. The highlight of the meal was the flan. Made in-house by Hector, it was outstanding plain. No creams or syrups needed. I am on being a regular here."
"We absolutely love this place. The best Mexican food ever. The food, the atmosphere and the service was top notch."
"My favorite late night go to for picking up dinner quick. The food is delicious. I get the tacos most times. I'm not a huge fan of the elote and wish it was better. You place your order online and use the QR code on your phone to pickup your food from a locker. If you don't care for human interaction, This is the place for you! My food is always fresh nd quickly prepared. The inside pick up space is tight so I would suggest waiting in your car until your order is ready. It can get crowded inside when they're busy plus this is a community kitchen meaning they share the space with other restaurants. Overall it's a great quick eats spot!"
"Very homely. I liked my menu item and loved even more that my bartender customized it to my liking. The place was fairly empty when I went, so the ambiance was nice and relaxed. Great draft and canned selections for local brews too. Overall, somewhere I would frequent."
"The ladies are very nice and slow service, but the food is so good and humongous portions. There is a very calm never get that that full."
"They're on the rise! They've got a new chef leading the way so I know the menu is about to elevate exponentially. How do I know this? Because I know the chef.Service was quick and attentive. The ambiance was def kitschy, like a roadside diner meets hunter's lodge. I can dig it..."
