"LOVE LOVE LOVE the bulgogi tacos!!! Service was amazing! This was my first time visiting and I am so exited to come back."
"So I only stayed for drinks and got chips and salsa. Which surprised me weren't free like in most Mexican restaurants. These were $7 which he typed in himself so I'm not sure if he just decided to charge me on his own or what. Anyways for $7 I would expect my chips to be hot and fresh not stale. The salsas that came with it left much to be desired the Verde sauce tasted like the jar sauce from Heinz. The menu doesn't give you prices for drinks so make sure to ask to avoid any crazy totals. My margarita was all sour mix and her Jameson and ginger was all soda. Overall drinks were poorly made. The restaurant itself was basically empty and it still took about ten minutes to get those drinks. The place is covered in contrasting elements. It's a very busy look."

"Great for a late night stop after a night out! You'll often find them by the parking lots surrounding Aldi or Cookout on Freedom! We love the tamales, mulitas (comes in HUGE portions) and the Tlayuda!"
"In town for business and here are my thoughts :Service was good ...had a grilled chicken sandwich and frings ..they were tasty ..Unsweet tea was good ..really no complaints and a straightforward good experience."
"It's like taco Tuesday everyday here. If you want real authentic Mexican or Tacos instead of the fake over priced crap, you NEED to come here. It's awesome food. Not over priced at all, great portions , and great friendly service. Place is clean, it's a mom and pop shop which are the best, looks a bit run down fromOutside but don't be fooled by that. Very country and nice area. Super clean place and delicious. Will definitely be back."
"Purely by chance we happened to arrive right when they opened--what perfect timing! The menu is simple and easy to follow, which made ordering a breeze. We decided on the camaron, carne asada, and birria tacos, and they were all absolutely delicious with just the right amount of kick. The Al pastor burrito, on the other hand, was massive--definitely a meal in itself! The interior is simple and has a relaxed vibe, making it a great spot to enjoy a casual meal. The friendly customer service added to the experience, and I loved that you can watch them cook right in front of you since the kitchen is adjacent to the dining space. The only thing I'd change? I wish they'd fill my cup all the way to the top--I love horchata and wanted every last drop!Overall, El Mano Tacos is a great spot for delicious, no-fuss Mexican food. Highly recommend!"
"New restaurant near downtown Locust! We ordered all their tacos ,quesabirria , and Agua frescas!Best quesabirria in the concord / Charlotte I tried so far. And their agua frescas were sooooo yummy. We had the cucumber and horchata. Cucumber was delicious. It would be so refreshing on a hot summer day. They have great selections of juices and tortas. We will definitely try next time.. Staff was super friendly! Store was clean and nice!3.5/5 rating!"
"Best tacos around! Made from starch and authentic. Polite and friendly service. We were at a brewery and they even brought the food to our table. Ordered shrimp and chicken tacos and an order of guac and everything was very tasty! Highly recommend if you ever see this food truck around town."
"Find Thai truck and get their food. Excellent and fresh tasting. Some of the best Mexican I've had. Seriously good!!!"
"Simple little setup across from QT on Hwy 601 heading south outta Concord. Great food with an assortment of proteins to tuck into your taco, sopes, or quesadilla.I ordered a sopes with barbacoa. A few minutes later I was chowing down on a hot, thick corn taco loaded with flavorful beef, qeuso fresco, crema, onions and cilantro. And only $3.50. Mmmm.Gets my fryer smokin' hot on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Stop here. Note: cash only. English well spoken."
"I was wanting Mexican food. My son-in-law suggested Mi Casa. Day 1 I had the very best quesadilla I've ever had. We went back the next day... I wanted to try something different so I ordered a carnitas street taco...and another quesadilla. Wow. If you like authentic Mexican food you won't be disappointed."
"I am updating our review as it's been 2 years since we found Birritaco...and it is still 5 stars! The best part of my son needing to play basketball in Concord is knowing I'm stopping to get some tacos. Everything we have had at this restaurant has been delicious...and we have been multiple times. Margaritas, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, etc all delicious. Service is always helpful and kind and the place is clean. Always a MUST stop for us!"

Always the best service when we arrive. The food is fantastic. If you need a place for a party, they have an entire upstairs. Cocktails are amazing.

Food trucks are the way to go when you want real food cooked with love by people who know what they're doing. My husband spotted ET EL Tamal a few weeks back, but they were gone by the time he went back. When they returned today to our Starmount neighborhood and he saw them while he was walking our dog, he couldn't wait to get me so we could order dinner from them. Let's start with the truck owners. The pair who run the truck are charming as heck and ready to answer questions about a crazy array of food for a truck that size: tamales (of course), tacos, tortas, quesadillas, burritos and more, with a variety of fillings, from chicken, steak, and both pork AND al pastor...plus lengua and cabeza if you're daring. (Not me.)We ordered a selection so we could try a bunch of things, along with horchata for me and Mexican Coke for him, and left with enough food for a few days for $55. But what about the food?!Okay. The torta. Look...as Americans we sometimes forget the beauty of a truly well made sandwich. Sliced pork that was fork tender (as if you'd use a fork) with fresh-grilled jalapeño, tomato and avocado on pressed bread. We split it and, along with the chichinachos - nachos made with chicharróns - we would have been happy little clams. And full. So full. So very, very full. But wait, there's more. We also ordered a Tlayuda, which is a regional dish from Oaxaca, and when I added it to the order the lady taking our order laughed and said, "Really?" Because it's big. Mucho grande. Black beans, carne asada, peppers, avocado, tomato, queso crema...it's like a Mexican pizza. We couldn't do it Justice. It too could have served as the meal for the two of us with a side. :)We have the tamales left to review, which I will leave to my husband, who is the Tamal fan. But find this truck. Try their food. Support them because YUM YUM. Qué delicioso.

We tried here today in search of a venue for my daughter's wedding dinner. The food was delicious! I had the Sloppy Joseph with potato salad. Best potato salad I've ever had in a restaurant! My daughter had the fettuccine with blackened chicken. For appetizer we had the pretzels. Our service from Kayla was fantastic! She's friendly and always with a smile. Ian met with us about renting the upstairs area, Pontiac room for the wedding dinner. Prices for catering was on point and the space perfect for what we need. He was very nice and on top of everything in the restaurant.

Don't let the outside fool you. This place is fantastic. Made with love by two amazing ladies, we have eaten here several times and always had amazing food. I highly recommend the sopes. Homemade salsas are amazing.

Food was okay, breakfast burrito with chorizo and a steak quesadilla came to $35. Way overpriced for what we got. Burritos are massive though! Can definitely make two meals out of one of them.

The food was so delicious and amazing. I devoured it so fast, I forgot to take a picture. I got two tacos: pork carnitas and shrimp. Both with cotija, salsa, pickled onions and jalapenos and crema. Check it out!

"Full plates have arrived.!The branzino was pan fried and delicious. Both halves--a full fish. The couscous was nice and the small vegetable salad was satisfying. Too much food for me to eat at lunch. As always, my companion chose 2 tacos and chips. We took most of the chips home. I will absolutely try all the other plates on upcoming visits."
"Not a fan anymore After yesterday's visit, I just can't do their food anymore. After watching an unsanitary situation (gloves being used to wipe tables down then serve up food)Plus the food is super spicy for me. Margaritas are good though!"
"I don't understand the low reviews. We had a good experience both with our food and the staff. We stopped in for lunch. It was not busy but it looked like a cool place to hang out. Great outdoor patio and a cool covered patio section. Cool vibes throughout. This is a SoCal inspired restaurant. I had the Brisket Barbacoa Burrito traditional style (fries and all). It took me right back to a typical burrito stand in Southern California. It was very good with $4 beer specials. Definitely worth a try."
"Fast and friendly service, came for dinner on a Friday night and got seated immediately. Got a taco platter with 3 different tacos and a burrito. Both dishes were really good and the salsa that came with the meals had some heat. Overall a good place to have Mexican food. Decor was pretty cool with lots of pictures on the wall that have Mexican themes."
"I've came here multiple times and love the atmosphere and the food that they offer. They have a variety of menu items to choose from and flavors that are out of this world. The staff is friendly and attention to detail as they assure that the order is right every time."
"Well ran limited menu food truck serving up really good pork tacos with cilantro, pico, red onions and cream drizzle. We had the opportunity to stumble across them at a local winery in Kings Mountain. If you see them out and about jump in line and get what they got, again not a lot of options but yummy yummy and yummy. Yes, extra yummy!Very nice crew on the white food truck."
"My favorite late night go to for picking up dinner quick. The food is delicious. I get the tacos most times. I'm not a huge fan of the elote and wish it was better. You place your order online and use the QR code on your phone to pickup your food from a locker. If you don't care for human interaction, This is the place for you! My food is always fresh nd quickly prepared. The inside pick up space is tight so I would suggest waiting in your car until your order is ready. It can get crowded inside when they're busy plus this is a community kitchen meaning they share the space with other restaurants. Overall it's a great quick eats spot!"
"This is a nice Spanish food restaurant chain in NC. I got the Cuban rice bowl. The meat and the plantain was very juicy. The rice and beans were also delicious. The prices were really good for what you get. I paid about $11.00 for the bowl. I don't know how many locations they have but I will look that up. Not like NYC but it is close."
"Great and authentic food. It is by far one of my favourite Mexican food trucks in the area"
"For some reason Yelp showed this business as closed. Well, maybe they were just waiting for their new food trailer to arrive, but they are fully operational and just as delicious as before.Easy to find under the canopy at Compare Foods, just get in line, place your order, and wait a few minutes. Simple menu meets great service and authentic taste--what's not to like?Looking for your south of the border fix? Give this place a whirl. Credit cards accepted, too."
"Went for the hubby's bday dinner. Absolutely love the vibe they are giving. Greeted as soon as we walked through the door. Sat in a booth as soon as we told them the party number. Severe was at our table not even a minute later to introduce herself and take our drink orders. Service was great. From the person who welcomed us in, our server who was quick, attentive and friendly to the food runners and the rest of the staff. I've heard and read some very mixed reviews about Rock Taco but I am here to tell you, they were having an amazing day because the food was on point. Everything we ordered was flavorful. Nothing was over powering and nothing was lacking. Honestly, one of the best queso dips I have ever had. Salsa was good but even better when I mixed it with the queso. Hubby had the pork belly carnitas and Funky Fresh Fish N' Grits. He loved every bite. Of course, I had to get a bite. Grits are made to perfection. Not thick and lumpy, not runny and watery. Perfect. Baby girl had the Dirty Bird and the chicken was cooked just right and the flavor was explosive. Main St. Corn Dip-I added some hot cause and so good. No ingredient over powered the other. Yall don't sleep on this local gem."
"I was researching taco trucks and bookmarked this place in hopes of giving it a try.The truck sits outside the store. The menu has a few item types with a large variety of meat choices, or vegetables. There is also a special of three tacos with rice and beans for $7, which is what I got. The food was prepared to order and took about five minutes. The tacos were overstuffed (that's a good thing) with meat and onions. The green salsa was excellent and not too spicy and next time I will try the next spice level up.Oh yeah, the beans are fantastic...but the tacos are definitely the stand out here."
"Pastor quesadillas was amazing. Birria tacos with beef consumme o could have dranks the cup. Asada would have been good anywhere but trust me on the pastor and the birria"
"This restaurant has recently opened a couple months ago, I suggest those who enjoy typical dishes from Honduras should come and give it a try. It is a very small location which makes it difficult to find tables to sit at on the weekends. Customer service here is exceptional! The ladies working here are the sweetest. My favorite dish is the pupusas de frijol y queso (a tortilla stuffed with bean and melted cheese). One of the complaints that I have is that the steak is a little too tough, making it hard to chew. From my understanding, this is the owner's first restaurant that they have ever owned so it still has work to do as far as the food quality, but nonetheless, it has the potential to become one of the top Latin restaurants to eat at in Statesville."
"Such a cute spot for drinks and food!! Stopped in for the first time tonight and already planning a return visit"
"This place is very good. Authentic, cheap, good portions. I did the contactless pick up by email. I did not giving 5 stars because I had to wait much longer than my pick up time but the food was good. I would order again but just would come after my pick up time."
"After moving here from LA a few years ago, I missed authentic southern californian mexican. Chanchos did not disappoint! I tried the shrimp tacos, veggie burrito and chips and salsa. Everything was so fresh and just delicious! I could drink that salsa it's so good. We did wait a bit, but I would just wait in the car next time. This food is worth the wait! I believe they have two trucks and now I know why. Check them out now!"
"The freshest Tacos you'll find anywhere. It's located inside the grocery store, so when I ordered guacamole they literally took avocados and lime from their grocery store to make it! The owner is pleasant and helpful."
"Came here at the end of their happy hour on a Thursday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Parking was easy to find on the street after I circled once. I found out they do validate if you park in the garage too. Service was speedy and the server did a great job of getting our order in before happy hour was up (the button disappears and you can't order after 6pm). I ordered the firecracker and americano tacos on soft corn shells. I wish I would have done a hard shell for the americano because the soft taco just didn't do it for me. The star was the firecracker shrimp taco on the soft corn shells. Great flavor and almost made me want another one! We also got margaritas and chips and queso and salsa for the table. It was perfect to share 2 things of each for all 7 of us. The seating and inside was intimate enough and open enough to see the tvs and the rest of the room without feeling like you were on top of the table next to you. Definitely will be back to try more!"
"Despite the name this seems like a pretty authentic Mexican restaurant. I expected it to be overly Americanized, I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. I got 2 orders of quesa birria. They were very good. They included a sauce and the broth for dipping. Cilantro, onions and lime were under the parchment paper. I really enjoyed these and they were ready quickly after I called and order."
"I got the taco platter. 3 different tacos and couldn't eat them all. So much meat. Plus a side. My dad got the brisket grilled cheese and loved it. Definitely going back"
"Best tacos and quesadillas. Where did they go in all the construction on Old Statesville?? :(:("
"I've been hearing of chatter about Mariah's Taco Spot which is a food truck filled with taco goodness. Marriah's offers five varieties of tacos; chicken, beef, chipotle surf & turf, salmon and shrimp and for the chicken wing lover they offer chicken wings with your choice of two tacos and seasoned rice; be sure to get the baby oil to dip the wings in and to drizzle it on the tacos.Marriah's is not like your average food truck, if you miss her at her Freedom Drive stop you literally have to follow her on instagram to see where she'll be next. Besides having great fresh cookedfood Miles and the rest of the crew still take time with the customers, even with the lines wrapped around the corner you get service with a smile."
