"Love getting sushi from Yamazaru! I ordered from them via DoorDash again and go the Tuna bomb and Yamazaru Roll. AMAZING! I seriously love the tuna bomb so much. The flavor is so good, with the jalapeno, tuna and rice. And I've ordered it a few times and it's always so good! The Yamazaru Roll was a hit too. Very delicious and fresh! I had to slow down, I was eating so fast lol. I think it's time I actually dine inside the restaurant because I've only ever ordered their food on DoorDash. I can't recommend them enough for their sushi. I also want to try some other menu items someday soon. Great spot!"
"I've been to this place a few times in the past...but due to the long distance from my home, I haven't been back in a long time. Plus, I never wrote a review for them back when, so here's one now!The place is still quite small, but they have a cool seating layout...with some nice patio seatings as well. I remember enjoying their patio dining. I could be wrong, but I thought they changed up some decorations (??). For a super-late lunch at around 3 pm, I was surprised to find the place fairly busy.I ordered their Lettuce Wraps (w/ Chicken) and Szechuan Chicken (w/ Rice). Lettuce Wraps were good...but surprisingly, I've had better at P.F. Chang's. I say that because in the eeZ's version, the chicken isn't minced really small, but rather large chunks....and the flavor was rather bland. Luckily I liked the sauce that came with it. Now I LOVED their Szechuan Chicken dish! First of all, it had a very polished presentation...possibly because of their generous usage of green peppers to top the rice? I loved the dry texture of the rice...and the chicken was really good! This dish was also quite generous...easily big enough to serve 2!!Service was quite friendly and attentive...and the foods came out quickly. Although the Lettuce Wraps were a bit disappointing, I loved everything else...and have no regrets coming here again. I always liked the foods here...and I actually prefer eeZ over their sister restaurant Cowfish. If I lived closer to the north part of Charlotte, I can see myself returning here often!"

"This was an intimate dining experience located in the Southend. We took advantage of the Thursday $7 cocktail special. I will say I wasn't a fan of the bang bang shrimp. It was a little soggy. However, everything else was delicious. The shrimp curry specifically was very flavorful. Now I know what to order for next time!"
"Awesome food and friendly staff! We had been the last ones a few times - but still excellent food and service!"
"BAKU is my absolute go-to spot in the neighborhood for meeting friends for a drink and some sushi. While I've never really dined downstairs in the restaurant, the upstairs bar is such a vibe that we always end up there instead. The space is super cute, whether you're grabbing a spot at the bar or lounging in the seating area.On busier nights, especially if you're with a group of four or more, I'd recommend making a reservation--it can fill up quickly! Yes, it's on the pricier side, but I usually come here for the cocktails and the ambiance, and it never disappoints. If you're looking for a chic spot to enjoy great drinks, light bites, and an elevated atmosphere, BAKU is the place to be. Highly recommend!"
"We had the best time at Lee's Cafe! Took our kids for a New Year's Eve dinner and the reviews did not disappoint. We got there early and the place was already packed with folks ordering take out, as well as starting to sit for dinner. The service was not impacted whatsoever. We ordered appetizers of edamame, miso soup, and crab Rangoon which all came out quickly and was delicious. The kids easily split the sweet and sour chicken and chicken lo mein which is their absolute favorite. My husband ordered the super boost roll and said it was incredible. I ordered the rainbow roll and it was also perfectly done. We were all stuffed, and my kids are already begging us to come back again soon.We will certainly be back again soon to try something else since the menu has so many options."
"We were pleasantly surprised with this place and it's a nice touch they have a happy hour food menu! Only reason we didn't give 5 stars was our server, she just seemed like she couldn't be bothered with us. But we would definitely go back for the food alone."
"Another good dinner at Bahn Thai. We definitely think that their curries are the best around in the Charlotte area. Lunch time can be crowded due to the the many offices around, so come before or after the noon hour. Dinner used to be crowded, but the last two times we have been here, around 6:30pm, we could be seated quickly. You might check it out.Mostly Thai wait staff and they add to the authentication of this Thai restaurant."
"This is for the locals @ lunch.Of ALL the sushi place in downtown Asheville (well...Asheville doesn't have an "uptown " so that by itself sounds silly - I should know...I grew up here)...the restaurant has THE best sushi lunch deal.My go to is a 2 sushi lunch with a small green salad..$14 MAXNow while they are not beating everyone else by say $10...they are offering (a) fast turnaround of a pick up order (b) include a salad and (c) do it for $3-$4 cheaperAdd in just nice/friendly staff and you have a place that can keep locals fees on there lunch breaks...without breaking the bank (I should know...I work for one...)"
"I went with a friend this Sunday afternoon and continue to be impressed with the delicious food. The hostesses were super friendly. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. The service of our waiter was excellent, he was super attentive. It was peaceful, not very loud so my friend and I could hear each other talk.We ordered the sushi lunch which came with 8 rolls of each (California and Philadelphia). We split two appetizers: the Crab Rangoon and the Crispy Calamari. Both were hot, fresh, and super crispy. We devoured everything. My beef lo mein was amazing."
"What a fantastic meal!My family of three visited Ganbei Japanese Restaurant & Bar on a Friday around 5 PM. We were immediately seated and were able to sit near the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet, but trendy. The restaurant was about half full. We ordered sushi and crab rangoon to start and had the chicken hibachi and sweet & sour chicken as entrees to share. The California roll was delicious. We liked it so much that we ordered an extra one because we all wanted more. The spicy salmon roll was great and my husband ate the whole thing almost by himself. The crab rangoon was perfect and was served with a sweet & sour dipping sauce. It was just crispy enough, but not over-cooked.I really liked the sweet & sour chicken, but the chicken hibachi stole the show. We all three thought the hibachi was the best part of our meal and I would definitely order it again. Our server, Cole, was great. He was extremely attentive and checked on us frequently. They did forget the soup and salad, but we were so full from what we ordered that we didn't miss it at all. Cole apologized about missing the soup and salad and offered to pack it up to-go, but we declined as we were heading out for shopping. The total for our food, two sodas, and two beers was about $75.Everything was fantastic and we would definitely return."
"On my latest business trip to Charlotte I decided to give this place a try. Place is very clean and there were lots of options to add to my poke bowl. The flavors were there but it would have been nice if the cucumbers had been chopped smaller so you are able to incorporate it into your bite with the other ingredients. Also would have been nice to have the soy sauce readily available instead of having to go back up to the counter and ask for it. Other than those two minor items this place serves up some great poke!"

This is our go to sushi spot. The service is always great, they are quick, and have a great menu. We started with a miso soup and a jalapeño hamachi, both very good. We split the red monkey roll, gladiator roll, goodness roll, and the kiss of fire. Would recommend the goodness roll and the red monkey roll.Only giving it 4 stars this time rather than 5 because we didn't love all of the rolls we got.

We are frequently dining here, but, when it is for a birthday dinner, it is still very special. I like the modern vibe here, with lots of window seating to look out at the busy Birkdale Village foot traffic. We were here on a Monday night, but it was still very busy. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she likes coming here. Favs on the menu are the crab Rangoon dip and the Korean spring rolls. Many of us order from the Stir Fry bar, where you can customize your bowl with choice of protein, veggies, sauce, noodles or rice, etc. and we tried the Fusion Bento Box. It is a lot of food! Always delicious and great service here. Our server, Mikayla, heard we were celebrating a birthday and brought a lovely slice of chocolate cake and singing to go with it! The gong was the best touch!! So much fun, made my girl laugh, glad she wasn't embarrassed. Thanks for making it a great experience.

We tried the veggie rolls, the green curry and the drunken noodles. The green curry was by far our favorite! The eggplant was so delicious. We sat outside and there wasn't much of a view (it's on a busy road) but inside looked cute.

Just overpriced like P.F. Chang's. It open and nice inside but I probably won't go again, it's in Greenville and i don't live down there. The staff was nice, place was clean.

Food is fresh - the veggies are crisp - not over cooked and fresh. Service: is ok- the last few times we have eaten there -- they are slow and somewhat unorganized- a few of the wait staff seem unconcerned about it - Ambiance: it's casual, it appears clean I will eat there again even with the below par service

Came here for Valentines dinner and enjoyed some great food! My bf is a ramen connoisseur and said this one landed in his top 3! I myself am a sushi connoisseur and the rolls were great! I would have liked to see more options without tempura. Our server was very kind and attentive and gave us great recommendations. I recommend dining for a birthday, date night, or even a casual meal.

We went during lunch and had sushi and I ordered the house noodles with chicken. It was really good and the food came out pretty fast. The restaurant got packed quickly during lunch. The service was nice and attentive!

"The best sushi I've had in a long time. In town from California and looking for a sushi spot, was not disappointed! The sashimi was like butter! Also, a plus that they were playing worship music!"
"Great options, fresh & reasonable prices. Big guy with a big appetite and very pleased with the portions."
"Spectacular. Just spectacular! This place has made it for over a decade in uptown Charlotte, which has been a revolving door for restaurants. It's quaint, and no frills, except for the food and service. They just grind here. One of the best sushi spots I've ever been to. Brandon, the manager, runs a tight ship.Go here!"
"It's no secret I love Moon Thai! It's legit our go to spot, so when a good friend of mine told me she was having her birthday dinner here, we couldn't wait. This trip was no different than any other. There's always great service and great vibes! The inside is so unique with it's dim lighting and heavy decor. You kind of discover something new every time you go. I ordered the Moon Thai wings; these are SO good, crispy and saucey with a little kick of spice! This trip I ordered the Geisha combo again and absolutely loved it. The fish was so fresh and delicious. I love having so many yummy things in front of me to eat lol. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops for the first time and he loved them! I tried a bite and it was incredible. Moon Thai always does an amazing job!! Really can't recommend them enough!"
"The ambiance leaves a lot of room for improvement, but the food? So delicious, fresh and clean! I often worry about ordering meats out because I'm weird about any suspect pieces. The chicken hibachi was SO good and all chicken breast.. perfect little crisp on the outside too! The owner or chef came out and it was so nice to see him checking on tables!"
"Flavorful and authentic. Tom Yum Goon soup is over the moon. Sushi is always fresh. Edamame is delightfully garlicky. We have eaten here multiple times and have ordered Door Dash and the food has been consistently good."
"Came here with a friend for dinner on a Sunday night. They were pretty busy and notified us that it would be a 30-minute wait for a table or immediate seating at the sushi bar, so we opted for the sushi bar.Unlike mini sushi bars, this one is well-spaced with great comfortable chairs. The ambiance is much like any other sushi restaurant with few notable decorative enhancements. We were promptly acknowledged by our server, who was friendly and gave terrific suggestions. For drinks, we ordered the blushing geisha and the Tokyo Mue. We both enjoyed our drinks, and they were strong. We started our meal with the gyoza, which came out quickly, was served piping hot and was very flavorful. We each ordered one sushi roll. I got the Naughty Akami, which was delicious and a great mixture of textures and flavors with exceptional culinary execution. The other roles on the menu didn't seem as complex, which I tend to go for when looking for a particular roll. I was still a bit hungry after the roll, and ordered the calamari, which also came out promptly, and we were piping hot season and well portioned. The only criticism I'd have is that it was all rings and no tentacles which I'm not as much of a fan of but it was still really good. All in all, we had a great experience, and I will definitely return ."
"Three of us had perfect meals, drinks and an appetizer. The sake and mixed drink menus were great, and the food menu was more Japanese than I knew what to do with and I still found multiple items to choose from. Service and vibe inside were good, too."
"Best Hibachi I've had in Charlotte! The soup and salad were a 10/10. The chicken and steak could use a little more sauce but we're still good. Had a long wait but there's a bar with several tvs to sit while you wait. The restaurant was clean and had cool effects for birthdays and celebrations. Definitely would come back again!"
"Love going to Pisces!! I usually get the Hibachi and share some Sushi rolls. Food is always good. Sometimes you can see some local celebrities here, I won't share who. Staff are always pretty friendly and attentive."
"One of my favorite restaurants! My kids love the chicken friend rice, my husband loves the chicken pad tai, and I love the crispy California roll! The appetizers are also great!"
"The decor here feels outdated and could really use a facelift. Despite that, the experience had its highlights. The cooking shoe was entertaining, and the food itself was decent. You definitely are paying for the show. While I enjoyed the experience, it felt a bit overpriced for what you get. A decent option if you're looking for a fun night out, but don't expect too much beyond the show."
"I don't think my review should hold a ton of weight on this one because me and my son don't eat sushi, and I think a lot of people come here for sushi. For food, my Spicy Mongolian Beef was a solid dish. I love that little spicy kick--always wakes me up and makes me feel alive. Just too many vegetables for me, but I'm sure most would like that. My son's Hibachi Chicken was good but dry. Very dry. Not sure why. House Salad with ginger dressing was on point. You can also ask them to add some cucumbers and tomatoes. Our first waitress wasn't very attentive but was covering a lot of tables. When the next waitress took over, she was very good. Despite being a tight spot with a lot of tables in a small space, the vibe here is good. I don't think my son would try it again but I would, and I would order something different. Prices are very fair!Overall, recommended. Might need a few visits to figure out what works for you in regards to food."
"Double date was perfect we tried the cherry blossom sake, phenomenally goodWe split the mussels, toro 5 pieces, and edamame. Yum-oI had the rainbow and soft shell app... wowAlways a step thru the door and you are transported to a Japanese sushi restaurant Love this place"
"Tonight, we ordered takeout from MingFu Chinese & Sushi. We had Hunan chicken, General Tso chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and Mongolian Beef. With the main entrees, we had the following additions: lo mein, white rice, brown rice and fried rice. As starters, we had egg rolls and pot stickers. Everything was delicious. Nothing to report on the ambiance, since we didn't eat in the restaurant. Service and delivery were excellent."
"The nicest staff and the most unassuming little hole in the wall! I'd venture to call it 'quaint.' We spoke to a group of people - young child, mom, dad, and grandmother (the only local) - who have all been going there for years and consider it their go-to. We were seated at the sushi bar (due to lack of logistical options for a high chair), and - fun fact - that means you get crunch crab salad upon seating. YUM! Even my 2 year old was devouring it. And speaking of her, the sushi staff were so kind and amused as they let her watch them at work. My MIL, FIL, and husband all had teriyaki something (one chicken, one shrimp, one steak) and I had the Pad Thai. The servings were HUGE and each dish was equally tasty. Two separate servers stopped to drop off mints and coo at our sweet girl. We aren't local but we do come down 1-2 times/year and will DEFINITELY be back!"
"Ordered delivery from KO and it did not disappoint. Got the spicy tuna box and miso soup. The roll was way bigger than I expected, each piece was bigger than your average maki roll. Miso was perfectly salty, not overwhelming but not bland. Will absolutely order again!"
"This sushi was so good. I literally can't even explain. Top 3 rolls I've had in Charlotte. Not super busy on a Friday night which was nice. Reasonable roll prices ~$14 a roll. Service was fast and friendly. Parking lot is kinda tight but not that bad. Go here!"
"I had no expectations going into this weird little building in Matthews, but I'm so glad I did. The ambience was really nice, the service was great, and the food was solid. A lot of their sushi rolls are fried, which isn't my preferred style, but I managed to find an option that wasn't (there were a lot of choices), and we got the shumai for an appetizer. As a Matthews resident I will definitely go back."
"Decent place. Nothing really to get too excited about. Say at the bar, had an ok cocktail and simple sushi. Nothing spectacular but ok. Great location but so many amazing spots in Greenville they need to step it up."
"Although I was recently here, I had to drag my hubby out here again to try their amazing Katsu. Since I knew they were short on good seatings, I had to literally drag him out of our house super-early (4:45 pm?) for the long 40-minute drive to Matthews! Based on my first experience for lunch, I thought that there might be a waiting list by 5:30 pm, so we arrived early at 5:15 pm. As it goes, we had no problem getting a good seat. It seemed they were more popular for lunch...which made sense, given their amazing lunch specials! My husband ordered the Bento with Chicken Katsu and the side of Sushi Rolls, and I ordered their Katsucurry with Tori Karaage. We also added Popcorn Shrimp as appetizer.Again, their Bento is not typical by any means...as the foods are set in a tray format, and the portions seemed much bigger. The Bento that my husband ordered was basically the same as the one I had for lunch, though he chose the Sushi Rolls over the Popcorn Shrimp. However dinner pricing was obviously higher...but their Bento was a steal...even for 25 bucks. As expected, he loved the Katsu, the Tempura, the whole works. He agreed that it's possibly the best in town...on par with Musashi's. Though highly anticipated, I didn't quite love the Katsucurry with Tori Karaage (AKA crispy chicken pieces). Think I prefer the traditional Chicken Katsu slices over these pieces. Plus, both the Chicken and the Curry tasted a bit bland. Still, I'm glad I tried it...as I was so curious about the Katsucurry with Tori Karaage (my first). Just like before, I LOVED the Popcorn Shrimp appetizer...possibly THE best version of Pocorn Shrimp I've ever had?? I'm definitely going back to the regular Katsu...not the curry version next time.Just as before, the service was really good...Fast, friendly and attentive. I could be wrong, but it seemed their decor changed a bit. New wall art? Though super-casual, the place provides a warm, cozy vibe...and surprisingly for such a casual place, they even had overhead music! Despite my disappointment with their Katsucurry, I still stand by my initial notions that I think they have the best Katsu in Charlotte...and possibly the best, most generous Bento Boxes. We'll definitely be back for more!"
"Stopped in on a Friday night and almost all the tables were full. Always a good sign! It's a small space, but there are a good amount of tables. At the back you can also see where they make the sushi. All of the staff was friendly and very attentive. Drinks stayed refilled and food came out fast. You can order sushi items or Chinese dishes. We went for the Chinese combination plates which come with rice and egg roll or spring roll. My husband had the Kung Pao chicken with brown rice. I had crispy scallion chicken with fried rice. Our daughter had plain lo mein noodles. It was a lot of food and a great value. The food was good for a small little spot. Crispy scallion chicken was crispy, but I like bigger chunks of chicken. Sauce was sweet and a little spicy. Fried rice was okay with not a lot added to it. Egg roll was good.Overall a pleasant experience and good value. We'll stop by again and try sushi next time."
"Nothing fancy but the food and drinks are delicious. Prices are reasonable and the rice bowls hit the spot"
