Nothing to report on the ambiance, since we didn't eat in the restaurant. Service and delivery were excellent."

The rice was a tiny bit mushy but pretty much on par with most places I've eaten sushi. The onions were crunchy and the price was great ($5 per roll full price - less with discount). "BAKU is my absolute go-to spot in the neighborhood for meeting friends for a drink and some sushi. While I've never really dined downstairs in the restaurant, the upstairs bar is such a vibe that we always end up there instead. The space is super cute, whether you're grabbing a spot at the bar or lounging in the seating area.On busier nights, especially if you're with a group of four or more, I'd recommend making a reservation--it can fill up quickly! If you do- they have amazing kids meal specials (I believe it's Wednesday and Saturday) and they are only 2.50 and a great portion size! I loved my lunch special bento box (see photo!). "We were so happy that we found this place looking for something else. So we came here by accident and I'm glad we did. We love the decor outside and inside and there's so many seating area.We were seated promptly after arriving by a nice host. Our server was the nicest lady. One more perk of coming to this restaurant. She also kept her area clean at all time. She was very attentive to all the patrons there.What about the food? We liked it. So much to choose from: sushi, seafood, soups, hotpot, hibachi, salad, kids friendly like pizza, nuggets, pasta, noodles, veggies, and desserts. I love seeing the Korean Short Ribs, crispy shrimp with head, and octopus tentacles. Those are my favorite and hard to find. They were well cooked and not overly salty.The hot pot option was in the soup area. If you are into crawfish, they had plenty of that. Sushi was good too. Didn't try the hibachi this time since we wanted something right away but there wasn't a long but the choices above kept us going. The dessert was decent. The flan was eggy, the scale sponges were moisture and airy.If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be stopping a."

"Was meeting up with my best friend and she wanted me to try it because she knew how much I loved Sushi!Upon exiting the elevators you have arrived at the Hestia rooftop experience and trust me it is just that whether you sit indoors or out. We went in the evening so the lighting was just right. Not too bright and not too dark.Started the night off with appetizers: Spicy Edamame and the Japanese Curry Crab Dip. Then ordered a few rolls because well I love sushi and when in "Rome", along with a bottle of J Lohr Cabernet. Our waiter was excellent and he checked on us frequently but not too much of that makes sense. I can't wait to go back when it's warmer so I can experience the outside vibe!"

Ordered a Black Dragon Roll and a small Tom kha kai soup, which is a velvety creamy coconut milk based soup with thin slices of chicken breast, mushroom caps, cilantro, garlic and lime. Very yummy, but nothing remarkable. I'd definitely dine in the next time I'm in the area and have time as the inside was beautiful - though I forgot to take a pic. Service was very quick but a tip for takeout orders - cutlery and napkins are not included in the bag so be sure to grab some from the counter on your way out!"

"Absolutely LOVE coming to Konnichiwa over in Lexington because it is by far the best sushi I've had near me! Their staff is so kind and they have such a relaxed atmosphere, it makes for a great casual night out or even a nice date not on the weekend! I have to rave about their sushi because it is always beautifully assorted and laid out in the most unique ways. Presentation is always a 10/10 with flavor knocking it out of the park! Each location has unique rolls and I can't wait to try out other locations, but Konnichiwa Lexington is easily my new go-to. Even their takeout is phenomenal!"

Went here on a Saturday evening the prices are a little bit higher on the weekend then if you go for their for lunch I believe that's before 3:30 during the week but it's still not bad for the price they're charging that some other Chinese buffets are charging especially on the weekend.Going in I was wecome by the person at the front that ask how many people in our party then they walk you to your table. After that we had a waitress that came over get our drinks . By the way the drinks are a extra charge but refills are included free . The service was good but personality-wise was just not there they weren't very sociable.They had many different selections of food and a Hibachi Grill some of the food on the Hibachi Grill especially the chicken did not look very good looks like it was sitting out too long. The shrimp that I had was delicious there are many other things to choose around the restaurant the classic things that usually you find in other Chinese buffets. They have a dessert freezer that you can pick from ice creams cones and regular cups of ice cream as well as ice cream sandwiches that was also delicious.Overall I would say for the most part the food was very good just that there are certain things to look out for that I would stay away fromThe place was pretty big they have plenty of room for their customers there the restroom was very clean as well."

"Came here thinking it might still be Ambers but it's now Ginza which turns out to be delicious too. We were greeted and seated fast and headed straight to the bars. They have so much to choose from even during lunch that we went back and forth a few times. The egg drop soup mixed with wonton was delicious, the shumai was also very good. The fried calamari was amazingly tender and flavorful, salmon and fried fish were good along with the cheesy crab. Most of the things I tried were good but the sweet and sour was a little different than what I'm used to at my local Chinese restaurant. I'll need to come back a few more times to actually see what all is good and not but almost everything was worth eating."

"Ended up stumbling upon Japanese Express on my way from Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain. What I expected to be a quick stop for gas and fast food led me to this place. This place is accurately named! We were able to place our hibachi and sushi order and get our food pretty quickly in order to get back on the road. I was a bit skeptical to order sushi for myself because I am really particular about my sushi and didn't want to be disappointed. My friend ordered a crab roll and I tried a piece and it was pretty good. I've had bad sushi and I've had excellent sushi, and this faired in between. My hibachi steak and shrimp was also pretty good. It came with fresh broccoli, mushrooms, and sweet carrots and shrimp sauce. I ate all of it! This was a good find!"

"Wow! My first impression of Aqui es Mexico was one of surprise, awe, and overall enjoyment! I had the longest day and typically wouldn't have been on this side of HP for dinner, but my daughter needed medication that was only available at the CVS down the road. While we waited for our meds, my daughter mentioned she was craving quesadillas. So off we went. The restaurant was playing some pretty loud, modern music which had some explicit lyrics but other than that, everything else was amazing. The ambiance, the service and the food all went well! I picked something at random under their house specialty portion of the menu, Carnitas de Quiroga, and I was shocked when the platter came to the table (see photo). Description: Slow Cooked Michoacan Style Pork, served with beans, guacamole, pico, and corn tortillas. I love that it was topped with pickled onions and our waitress brought some tasty salsa that just took the dish up a notch. I will absolutely be back!"

"Found myself on the south side of High Point and wanted to try something different for lunch and I don't often get down here at this time of day. Took out my trusty Yelp app, and something of an Asian influence sounded good to me. I found this really well rated spot not far from my location, so I decided to head over. Shipp Sushi Casual is a small restaurant located inside a strip mall next to the Wal-Mart in this area. It's non-descript, but inside, is actually decorated nicely. Lots of greenery and small touches. They do have table service, though I would have been fine just to order at the counter. There is a huge TV in there, and unfortunately for me, it was loudly blaring Fox News at the time, though the channel was changed several times while I was there. In either case, a little less volume would have been appreciated. There was a miscommunication on my order, and now that I look at the menu again, it is clear to see why. There are two sections right next to each other, "Soup Udon" and "Spicy Udon" the former is soup, the latter, is a stir-fry. That said, in the soup section there is a dish titled "Spicy Seafood Udon" and in the stir-fry section a dish titled "Spicy Udon Seafood." I ordered the latter (even pointed to it), but was brought out soup. You could see why this would be confusing, the waitress should have asked for clarity, or the menu needs to be changed. I didn't have the time to wait for an entirely new dish to be made, so I accepted the Udon soup.Now having the soup, I will say, I was very happy with the portion. The amount of veggies, noodles, and seafood made it very filling, and the broth was indeed spicy. However, I wish the broth had a more robust flavor, as opposed to just being spicy. Ultimately, I was really wanting the stir fry, and though I do like a good soup, it just didn't scratch my itch.All that said, I'd give it another try, and be very specific with what I want next time. Overall, I think they're making good hot food here, and they care about what is rolling out from the kitchen. I'll be back!"

"Still one of my favorite places to eat in town! We travel alot and have tried many Thai places. Bangkok is still outstanding in my book. Fresh ingredients, great portion sizes, and excellent service every time! The owners and staff are very nice!They have a variety of Thai and Japanese dishes and a very good selection of sushi as well. We typically order the crunchy shrimp, unagi dreaming and the volcano roll. All are very good and fresh. We get the beef and shrimp pho and it is usually so big and yummy! Another favorite is their chicken wings and papaya salad but I like it Laos style, and they'll make it just the way I like it! We have also had many parties in their party room and they are always so accommodating. Bangkok is one of the few restaurants in Spartanburg that we frequently come back to!"

After looking online for sushi in the area, Osaka Grill popped up. Though it's a hole-in-the-wall sort of place, that's a good sign because those tend to be the gems.Not fancy, but comfortable and casual atmosphere. There are tables and booths. It was busy on this Friday night (our first time ever here). We wanted a booth instead of the tables that were close to several other tables filled with customers and they allowed us to wait by the bar/counter where we watched and also looked at the menu to decide what sushi we wanted. Once seated, we were able to order quickly getting the Happy Family, Atlanta Roll, and Alaska Roll, miso soup. They were all good! What was even more welcoming was the price - definitely a great value, which probably explained why there were plenty of carryouts/pickups.Good food, good service, and amazing price!"

Our daughter had just taken the SAT and we were trying to be supportive of such a scholastic endeavor. She picked the place and she always orders the same thing, the children's plate. The food here is always exactly the same which is PERFECT. Cooked well, fresh, lots of sauce and large portion sizes. Nice interior if you decide to eat in the location. Plenty of exterior parking. We normally just order to-go but eating in has happened before and it's been good. I guess what I like the most about this place is that it is always 100% CONSISTENT. I really like that. I can always trust that this food will make my family happy."

"What a hidden gem! I was visiting my mother-in-law and needed my sushi fix. I drove here to get a table but they only take reservations unless you're lucky enough to find a free table. I wasn't lucky enough to get a table the first night. So, I called then left a message for a reservation and got one two days later. I still needed my sushi fix and I went to another restaurant that had 4 stars on Yelp and it was horrible. Don't go waste your time or money on sushi anywhere else. There's no bar seating here and only 4 tables total. This is a small husband and wife duo that is turning out amazing quality food and perfect service. Starting with the apps I had a miso soup that was perfect. It wasn't too salty, and had the perfect amount of tofu with the most perfect texture. Their Ikayaki (grilled squid) was amazing. I'm a sucker for squid and there's tasted like I was in Japan again. I think they use butter and soy sauce. Again it was perfect!The tempura appetizer was light battered to perfection and included a variety of asparagus, sweet potato, zucchini and eggplant. Not sure if they use the same veggies every time but they were all delicious. For sushi I got the sashimi plate that included beautiful cuts of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, octopus, squid and roe and yellowtail roll. Excellent presentation and taste. Everything I had was excellent! I will definitely be making reservations in the future when I come back. Eating here is the closest experience to being served in Japan and I live in Hawaii. I feel like that is saying a lot. Hickory y'all have a hidden gem here! 10/10 would recommend to any sushi lover or traditional Japanese food.
