"My parents live in the area, and over the years I've heard about Duckworths being a go to place for them when wanting a guaranteed tasty lunch while out and about. While I was in town visiting with my sister recently, I was delighted to finally visit myself and I totally understand why this place is such a local favorite. First off, every staff member we interacted with was wonderful, but especially our waitress, Whitney. If I lived in the area, I would come visit for lunch and request her tables. Whitney has a welcoming, warm aura about her and was genuinely friendly, kindly asking about our visit and chatting with us as we made order decisions. She was helpful with menu questions and suggestions, and a sincere delightful spot in our day. She made sure we were all confident on our orders, clarifying sauce favorites and complimenting choices we made along the way. I had the best beer of the trip while onsite - the TropiQuench'l by Charlotte Micro Brewery, Heist Brewery, and my sandwich order was a delight. I had the Hand Battered Chicken Sandwich, Whitney clarified I was down for the Sweet n' Bold Gold sauce before finalizing my order (i was - and it was great!) and nodded along as I went with the kitchen made potato chips as my side - a favorite of the table for sure. This spot is large enough to not feel crowded - with plenty of booths, tables, and bar space. I really dig the sports bar vibes and beer-loving décor. I will definitely be requesting another visit the next time I make to NC."

"Cute place reminded me of restaurants at Virginia beach.. the crab dish was good.. filling enough .. We had to wait to be seated and we decided to have a drink at the bar.. bartenders there not so friendly but of course friendly when they give you your Bill hoping to get a decent tip.. our waitress seemed like she was rushing ... checked on us once thus the 4 stars.. over all the place was nice and clean.. The food was good but the service not so good .. with all the other places to eat on the boardwalk I probably will not be back.."

"I've been eating at Mac's Speed shop for years & remain a big fan. I absolutely love their smoked wings. The wings are meaty and tender with a nice char on the outside. I am really into their Down South eggrolls stuffed with pulled pork, cole slaw, mac & cheese. Honestly, put anything in an egg roll and I'm eating it. Recently, I tried their buffalo chicken wrap with Hot Gold sauce and it was pretty good! The chicken was a little over cooked and chewy but other than that, great flavor. I've actually never had their BBQ but would be open to trying it."

"Game Day Paradise: A bar with wall-to-wall TVs, full bar, and surprisingly good bar eats. You know that girl in high school you've kind of always known was there, but you never really spoke to - but then when you actually gave her a chance she was super cool? Yeah, this is my current relationship with Duckworth's. This is a great, chill option if you're looking to watch sports and have a drink + have the option to eat. Most bars like this in Charlotte serve really greasy, fried cholesterol on a platter. However, Duckworth's actually has a pretty ample menu and the food is good. If you're looking for a good sports bar in the uptown area - Duckworth's is a very solid option. Honestly, I think it's underrated."

"Aesthetic: No frills sports bar with a large variety of wings, sandwiches, bar fare, and a full cocktail bar. Experience: Wow, I was impressed with this spot! I came here after seeing a picture of the caraway bread online, and it did not disappoint. The Beef on 'Weck was incredible, it was a tender beef sandwich with seedy caraway bread and a side of au jus and horseradish sauce. I'm honestly obsessed. The wings were a great value as well, we happened to stop by on Wing Wednesday where the deal is only $1 per wing! My favorite flavor was the Gold Rush, a mustard based bbq sauce. I loved it all, and our waitress was super sweet! Conclusion: Get the Beef on 'Weck, it's perfection! This is a great sports bar, I highly recommend it."

"I've heard great things about this place and finally had the chance to check it out for myself. The inside is nice and has plenty of seating throughout. Service was great from start to finish and the food was delicious. Everything came out fast and was actually pretty reasonably priced. Our waiter, Reese, was wonderful. He made solid recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The Smokehouse Philly was probably our favorite. The jalapeño bacon being chopped up among the steak was the perfect touch. The fries were delicious as well, although the serving size seemed a little small. I ordered the BBQ chicken & Jalapeño bacon flatbread and it was a solid option. I believe it could've used a little more time in the oven to crisp up the bottom better, but the flavors were wonderful. I really like the bbq sauce they use. The cinnamon sugar donut holes were a nice way to wrap up the meal. They were fresh and fluffy in the center with a nice crisp to the outside. They came highly recommended by our waiter and he didn't steer us wrong one bit. We were a bit too full to finish them all, but he said they'll heat up well in the air fryer so planning to find that out soon. All in all, it was a great meal and I would certainly return again."

"Luisa's might be my favorite pizza in Charlotte. The marinara and the cheese are just so good. I recently got a build your own pizza with just extra cheese and it was 10/10. I ordered delivery today to my job for a coworker's going away party. Luisa's does not deliver, but they use a third party app called Slice. I ordered 2 days ahead for a certain delivery time and our pizza was delivered right on time. My only complaint is that it wasn't hot. It was lukewarm at best which is odd because we are only about 6-8 minutes drive from Luisa's. I don't think it was Luisa's fault which is why I'm still giving 5 stars. Other than that, delicious!"

"Tony and I was waiting on our car to be fixed, so we walked over to the restaurant about 1/4 mile away from garage. We got there when they first opened up. The waitress seated us immediately near the windows in a booth. The restaurant was well decorated, and sports broadcasting on every TV. Tony ordered a Budweiser in a bottle which was on special for $2.50 each and I went with Half-Half Tea with lemon and lime. I hate when tea is barely brewed, because tea should not look like colored water. It should be a darker amber color.We ordered the Tot-chos which was like nachos with cheese, jalapenos, tomatoes, grilled onions and sour cream. We also ordered the Ham, pineapple & cheese flatbread but ended up sending it back because it was barely cooked. It was not very good at all. They were nice and took it back and took it off our ticket. The tots were very good!!!"

It's like they expect you to come in and just be at home. Even if you're sitting outside on the patio, they want you to see yourselves and a waiter will come to you, inside the restaurant, you can choose to sit at the bar or at a high top, or a booth. Do not expect fancy bites here. You will find American classics, like sandwiches, wings, nachos, etc.Definitely a good spot to watch sports. Parking is tight - they have a small lot. But there is parking along the street."

Seems like a nice sports bar and appeared to have a variety of beers on tap. For the food- also quite the large variety which always leaves me skeptical when it comes to quality. I ordered the wings and also an order of potato skins. 10 wings is $13+.. which seems expensive! There were a variety of drums and wings in the bunch. I was served one small serving of ranch. The wings were ok.. but to me don't justify the price point. They were average size. The potato skins are what was most disappointing. They reminded me of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store. There were also no green onions or chives served on top. They were so bland and tasted microwaved tbh. I wish I had snapped a picture. Service was nice and friendly. I love their covered patio and ample parking."

I spotted wall signs with their draft beers and decided on a Windy Hill Blueberry.For lunch Brody got 9 piece traditional wings and they allow a split of flavors for the 9 piece so he opted for garlic parm (5) & lemon pepper (4).I got their lunch special of 6 boneless garlic parm wings & sidewinder fries served with blue cheese dressing. I love to find places that honor our veterans so it was great to discover they offer a veterans discount. Brody & I watched a EPL game and played a few arcade games while we waited. The food came out fast and was piping hot. So hot that the tines on my plastic fork curled. LOL.Big fan of the garlic parm flavor! The fries were crispy, hot and tasty. The fries and wings were excellent with a touch of BC dressing. The service was excellent. She checked on us about 5 minutes after serving us and didn't hesitate to provide an additional bc dressing when requested. Voodoos has some tough competition in FM. With that said, the location, hospitality and tasty wings will keep me coming back to this well run establishment. Cheers!"
