"Had a fantastic experience at Capital Grille in Charlotte. My husband and I were celebrating our 3rd Anniversary and wanted a romantic evening out. C.G. did not disappoint! Made a reservation at 7. They called us a couple days ahead to verify reservation, asked if it was a special occasion, and explained their dress code, and that valet parking was available. We arrived a bit early and had a delicious champagne cocktail at the bar. Friendly bartenders and guests surrounded us. Very nice ambience. We were seated at our table in a timely manner. Service was excellent. I ordered the Filet with the Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, both were out of this world! My husband had the Bone-In Ribeye and New England Clam Chowder. He raved about both.Two things were less than perfect...our table was very wide and we were sitting across from each other. Made it very difficult to talk quietly to each other. The other thing we noticed was the dress code was not being adhered to by several of the guests. Thank you for making our anniversary so special!"

Plus, I never wrote a review for them back when, so here's one now!The place is still quite small, but they have a cool seating layout...with some nice patio seatings as well. I remember enjoying their patio dining. I could be wrong, but I thought they changed up some decorations (??). For a super-late lunch at around 3 pm, I was surprised to find the place fairly busy.I ordered their Lettuce Wraps (w/ Chicken) and Szechuan Chicken (w/ Rice). Lettuce Wraps were good...but surprisingly, I've had better at P.F. Chang's. I say that because in the eeZ's version, the chicken isn't minced really small, but rather large chunks....and the flavor was rather bland. Luckily I liked the sauce that came with it. Now I LOVED their Szechuan Chicken dish! First of all, it had a very polished presentation...possibly because of their generous usage of green peppers to top the rice? I loved the dry texture of the rice...and the chicken was really good! This dish was also quite generous...easily big enough to serve 2!!Service was quite friendly and attentive...and the foods came out quickly. Although the Lettuce Wraps were a bit disappointing, I loved everything else...and have no regrets coming here again. I always liked the foods here...and I actually prefer eeZ over their sister restaurant Cowfish. If I lived closer to the north part of Charlotte, I can see myself returning here often!"

I think the quality is there, as is the service, but the price & flavor combo is what brings it down a notch.The flavor isn't premium. I could make equitable food at home. So I'm paying not to do the dishes and enjoy the view of the lake.Had the salmon the first time - which is tasty. My wife had the Piri wrap and wasn't satisfied. I returned for the Spicy Chicken Sandwhich and Beef confit fries. It was spicy, I give them that, but I wouldn't pay $20 for it again. That's how I felt in general, I wouldn't return for that price. Same for the key lime pie. Sorry"

"My family brought me here for my birthday. The atmosphere was festive it was a few days before Christmas. Before we were seated they decorated the table and left a birthday card I ordered the steak tartare which was excellent they make it table side my family were not fans of raw steak but tired it a they were amazed at how good it tasted. My entree was the seafood tower which more like a seafood loft but all of it was very good quality seafood. I would definitely eat here again if I win the lottery."

Moist cake that was perfectly spiced, but what I loved the most is that you got bites of raisins and carrots that were so small yet made a huge impact in your mouth. Topped with buttercream frosting, definitely top 3 best I have had.Lulu's, you have my heart and loyalty when we are in town. Lobster mac and cheese- ok, it has to be a mix of a little lobster and a lot of imitation crab. Regardless, thoroughly enjoyed. The mac and cheese itself is divine, the seafood or imitation just adds to the yum!Strawberry banana pudding- idk, personally I'd prefer just regular banana pudding as the strawberries were minimal (2 small pieces) and then the strawberry syrup on top didn't add anything to the dessert. In conclusion- I will be going again! Staff is friendly and they definitely are trying to get the orders out but when I was there 8 of us were waiting, needless to say this business is blessed and I can see why!"

We've been coming here for at least 6 years and it Is always fresh and delicious. I challenge anyone to say there is a better one. With new owners taking over in the last year, the menu selections have gotten better, and the food is always hot and delicious .I even think the cocktail menu got beefed up. On this night, I had the fried shrimp and loaded tots, and hubby had the porkchop .Both were so good. I've also had the 1/2 roasted chicken and it was amazingly moist. We will continue to drive the miles to get there, because we are drawn in by that super fresh salad bar."

The afternoon that I went in, there were several full tables of big parties enjoying their meals. The host was pleasant and efficient, as well as the cashier. No complaints with the service.Once home, I grabbed my salt shaker before I sat down to eat and quickly realized I wouldn't need it--the sauce was more flavorful than I was expecting. If you're salt-sensitive, the sauce I selected is NOT for you. I enjoyed it because I think shellfish needs it. And I would rather have salty-ish food than bland food.I do wish that the potatoes and corn (both free) were cooked in the sauce but other than that, I enjoyed the meal and will come back when I'm craving seafood again."

"We decided to try Standard Oyster Company during Queens Feast week and we're so glad we did! It's definitely a bit of a drive for us (over an hour) but so worth it! The setup is so different (it's one long winding bar) but I think it makes for a better experience, and the service was impeccable. We both got cocktails, my sangria was delicious and my husband was shocked at their large selection of whisky. Our server even gave him a sample of their house whisky for free. We had the half dozen oysters for an appetizer, and they were so fresh and good.For dinner I tried the squid ink risotto with mussels and clams and my husband got the gumbo, both were perfectly seasoned and so good. Our server also gave us some free house coleslaw to try, which was also great. Desert was amazing as well, I tried the coconut creme bomb and he got the key lime pie. The coconut creme bomb was amazing, and the key lime pie was one of the best we ever had! Definitely coming back here soon!"

I wasn't lucky enough to get a table the first night. So, I called then left a message for a reservation and got one two days later. I still needed my sushi fix and I went to another restaurant that had 4 stars on Yelp and it was horrible. Don't go waste your time or money on sushi anywhere else. There's no bar seating here and only 4 tables total. This is a small husband and wife duo that is turning out amazing quality food and perfect service. Starting with the apps I had a miso soup that was perfect. It wasn't too salty, and had the perfect amount of tofu with the most perfect texture. Their Ikayaki (grilled squid) was amazing. I'm a sucker for squid and there's tasted like I was in Japan again. I think they use butter and soy sauce. Again it was perfect!The tempura appetizer was light battered to perfection and included a variety of asparagus, sweet potato, zucchini and eggplant. Not sure if they use the same veggies every time but they were all delicious. For sushi I got the sashimi plate that included beautiful cuts of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, octopus, squid and roe and yellowtail roll. Excellent presentation and taste. Everything I had was excellent! I will definitely be making reservations in the future when I come back. Eating here is the closest experience to being served in Japan and I live in Hawaii. I feel like that is saying a lot. Hickory y'all have a hidden gem here! 10/10 would recommend to any sushi lover or traditional Japanese food. The hotpot with the ginger sauce was flavorful and tasted fresh and clean. It's a tiny restaurant so be prepared to wait."
