"Hattie's is my new, favorite neighborhood bar and I don't even live in the neighborhood! When we wandered in around 6pm on a Saturday, we were one of only two couples in there. I was relieved to find a bar in Charlotte that wasn't packed to the max on a Saturday. It was a breath of fresh air. By the time we left around 9pm, it had filled up but not obnoxiously so. I was very impressed by their beer selection. I was expecting PBRs and Bud since they are billed as a dive bar, but they had offerings from Old Meck, Legion, Birdsong, NoDa... All the local favorites! I settled on the OMB Dunkel Weissen and sidled up to the old school Nintendo tempting me from across the room. Sadly, there was no gun to play Duck Hunt so we settled on a little Mario Brothers instead. We poked our heads out back and holy patio, Batman!! Hattie's might just be hiding the best patio in Charlotte! It was rainy and cold the night of our visit but rest assured, once the weather gets better, we will be permanent fixtures out there with our dog."

"Came here per my friends suggestion to accommodate the proximity to her home.. otherwise this place probably wouldn't be on my radar. Seems like a nice sports bar and appeared to have a variety of beers on tap. For the food- also quite the large variety which always leaves me skeptical when it comes to quality. I ordered the wings and also an order of potato skins. 10 wings is $13+.. which seems expensive! There were a variety of drums and wings in the bunch. I was served one small serving of ranch. The wings were ok.. but to me don't justify the price point. They were average size. The potato skins are what was most disappointing. They reminded me of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store. There were also no green onions or chives served on top. They were so bland and tasted microwaved tbh. I wish I had snapped a picture. Service was nice and friendly. I love their covered patio and ample parking."

"If you want to enjoy a fun and unique dining experience this is the place to go. Set in the French sector that is full of small restaurants with great variety. It is located across from a local park Romare Bearden. I recommend the fish and chips and a choice of beer. It is exceptionally flavorful. Their other fare is delicious as well. I haven't tried them but many recommend the chicken wings. It is at times quiet and intimate. Then at other times loud and noisy. They also have small tables outside. Either way you will enjoy yourself. The individuals working there are kind, polite and very helpful. It is also very clean. You can sit up front and look out the large windows and watch people go by and also see some of the local characters in the area. Just enjoy a unique experience in downtown Charlotte."

"We came to The Crosby Pub and Restaurant about 7pm on a Friday evening. It is located within the Village Inn Hotel and Event Center in Clemmons. It is conveniently located just off I-40 and Lewisville-Clemmons Road in the heart of Clemmons. We came here specifically to watch a colleague who is part of the local band, City Lights. It was great to be amongst my colleagues to support the band. The bar area features four taps as well as bottled beer, wine, and at least some hard liquor. I chose the IPA by local brewery, Wiseman Brewing, which was one of the options on tap. It has been my experience that prices in venues which are within a hotel/event center tend to be more expensive because they usually have somewhat of a captive audience. My IPA pints were $9.50 each plus a tip.We did see a few people ordering food and I did track down a menu to post. Overall, the venue was nice, clean and the staff was friendly.The band, City Lights was really, really good and we enjoyed ourselves. However, we do feel the prices were a bit steep."

"I enjoyed Angry Ale's for what it is -- a no-fuss, no-frills neighborhood bar.And just like the bar, everything is solid: The service, the food, the drink drinks. I love how casual it is. It's like they expect you to come in and just be at home. Even if you're sitting outside on the patio, they want you to see yourselves and a waiter will come to you, inside the restaurant, you can choose to sit at the bar or at a high top, or a booth. Do not expect fancy bites here. You will find American classics, like sandwiches, wings, nachos, etc.Definitely a good spot to watch sports. Parking is tight - they have a small lot. But there is parking along the street."

For central Carolina, that would ordinarily be a problem as we're four hours from the coast. But here's Lobster Dogs!On the right, the kitchen with posted menu boards on the wall and a cooler with beverages. On the left, a full bar with tables and stools and sports on TV. Out front, a few tables where you can sit with your dog or your smoke.Mrs. had the classic Lobster Roll, which is the usual toasted and buttered hot dog bun topped with lobster. For a first timer, I suggested "cold" and it was a good portion. Different than ones I've had in Maine and Massachusetts, this had less celery and less mayo. It was almost straight lobster and she enjoyed it.I chose the Cali Dog, which is also a lobster roll but is also topped with sliced avocado and bacon bits and a chipotle ranch sauce. It was quite tasty and delicious.Lots of other options and toppings from plain hot dogs to garlic butter and even onions/garlic/mozzarella. "so I was going by here right before the corona virus was a thing when I saw a crafty car™ out front but not quite in a spot which is typical if you know anything about crafty cars. it had broke down in the most ordinary way at the most inopportune time and location but with much mental exertion, some manual laboring, and a bit of luck we got it back on the road - on a trailer behind Kristian's truck actually but whatever...which was how I came to be here a second time - again on accident - and I've still not made it past the part where I walk in and have a seat at the bar and get something cold on a warm day. clicks and clacks and the sound of chalk being misapplied to cue leather makes me quite certain there's a pool table or several in the other room, probably access to toilet facilities as well but I haven't ventured that far as yet.additionally (...and oddly) the heavy smell of fresh cigarette smoke greets you as you enter even though there's no one smoking inside or out (and right outside the door it smells of outside?!) mebbee it's 107 years of pre-enlightenment lighting up, mebbee it's just a divey little local bar on the edge of town with a smoker's corral and an odd air flow pattern? in any case the New Korner Pub is conveniently located just down the road and right around the corner from what passes for civilization these days. I hope they open back up, I'm kinda curious about what goes on in the back room, and I'd like to maybe have a peek..."

"This was a cute place! We came here on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed! I like how it's kind of off the path, so it's more of a IYKYK kind of place. For our meals, we had the fish and chips and the veggie plate with sweet potato fries. Everything was great, it was fresh and hot. Service was a little slow, but I know it was busy!"

The server was a little slow taking our order but the food came out fairly quickly. The fish and chips was the best we've had outside the UK. The fries were excellent and the burgers were great. And the steak and mushroom pie had a flaky crust though not the biggest serving. All in all it was a nice meal and we would go back."

I asked for Bacardi and coke which they did not have surprisingly. I also ordered their garlic Parmesan chicken wings (6) crispy which was very disappointing - there was very little chicken on the wings of which I received 2 drums and 4 wings - they were very greasy and did not have much taste. I did enjoy the 2 carrots and 3 celery sticks. I would not recommend going here. The only positive was the bartender was very nice."

Because you definitely can't catch COVID while you're consuming a delicious beer. It's the alcohol that kills it of course!They have nearly a dozen taps of their own beer plus bottled "guest" beers if you really feel the need to drink something macro and wine. They have some basic snacks but you'll be better off grabbing some waffle fries from the Chick-Fil-A if you need to eat.I had a tall and frosty pint of their "Day Light American Light Ale" as I slowly eased my way out of ketosis to prepare for my vacation.
