"Two full outdoor basketball courts. Some uneven cement and chain hoops. But satisfactory for a shoot around."
"Great little park, especially in the summertime! Splash pad is fun! Lots of swings (including baby & disabled). Large playground + toddler playground, both with black rubber mulch (gets hot!). Bathrooms and water fountains. Lots of shade- benches under trees and picnic tables under small pavilions. All fenced in."
"This park has everything! Trains, carousel, live entertainment, splash pad and two large playgrounds. Plenty of shelters to reserve for birthday parties and they have a multipurpose building you can rent by the hour."
"I found a trail at this park on AllTrails and it looked nice so we decided to check it out. The beginning of the trail was really nice. It goes through a wooded area and down to the river. Then the trail suddenly becomes a disc golf course. Now the disc golf course seemed really nice, but I wouldn't recommend hiking a disc golf course. You're just in the way if people are playing. There's a nice lake later in the course. Overall, I'd recommend it for disc golf or maybe just to hang out at, but I wouldn't recommend walking through the disc golf course like AllTrails recommends."
"The recreation center was reopened back in January but remains closed right now because of the pandemic. Inside, when it re-reopens, there is a gym with a hardwood floor, kitchens, meeting rooms, classrooms, and game rooms.Outside, the park features a large playground area, covered picnic shelters, walking path and a pickleball court. Of course, the playground is roped off but the rest of the park area is accessible. There is parking.[Review 13196 overall, 513 of 2020.]"
"The kids and I love this place. Listen...I've lived in several states, I've seen all types of parks...this place does NOT disappoint. There are so many unique and completely fun pieces of playground equipment. Rope walks, sliding swings, rope wall, etc. Additionally there are great picnic areas and shelters, grills, and a zip line course. But also a greenway to ride bikes or walk yourself or your pups. And, let's add the multiple baseball fields that are a great place to practice with your peers or your kiddos. I absolutely recommend this gem. Its an awesome, FREE, place to spend a beautiful day in Morganton."
"Hidden gem! I've been here several times. I've always felt safe. I've never seen people walking their dogs here even with or without a leash. The park is shaded which is a plus. Is it high tech like unity park? No, but my kids love going here!"
"Absolutely adorable place to take your kids for a play date, birthday party, or to just get some energy out. We were invited to a birthday party here and I was so happy with how clean everything was! The kids had a blast while the parents were able to relax and chat. Everything was safe for toddler through young child play. We'll definitely be coming back soon!"
"Great playground. It's also very open and spacious so it's easy to follow my daughter around when she's playing. There is also a nice field right next to it if you wanted to run around or play ball. My daughter had a great time here and she loved the swings the best."

recently officially grand re-opened with all the fancy fun features fully functional. got a fair sized bandstand on one end and a multi-level children's playground with fencing on the other plus a splash pad, covered basketball court, LED moon-swings, picnickery and toilet facilities in between.the whole thing looks pretty sharp now: fresh mown grass, newly paved parking lot, and shiny new (factory) paint on everything... let's hope it stays like this for a while.btw: didn't see a dedicated dog-park in the park but I don't have a dog so I wasn't looking too hard either.

Why have I not found this place sooner?!!! We loved this park. It's beautiful and has so many amenities. The loop for walking. The train and carousel for riding. The park for playing. The splash pad to cool off. It is also beautiful. The carousel splash pad and train cost 1.50 . Not bad we will definitely be back another time to enjoy this place again.

Charlotte has so many parks! This is. Actually a nice park with plenty of nature, not the pretty scenery type parks that EVERYONE loves to go and take pictures at during the day. They have a decent play area for kids, a disc golf course, a pond that you can potentially fish, and a couple trails. This was my first time here as I was trying to find a less crowded area to take a walk during all these precautions with the virus. I will definitely go visit here more often.

I've been here a couple times. Mainly for frisbee golfing, but they have a bunch of other things to do as well. The park is kind of a hidden gem. It's out in the sticks in Morganton, but it is a VERY nicely kept park and extremely beautiful. One of the nicest I've ever seen at least. There are a few sections to this park and I have not been to all of them. From passing by, it looks like a sand volleyball court, a baseball field, possibly some soccer fields, a rock climbing wall, and I've heard through the grapevine that there is ziplining on certain days here.... I'll have to try that out if I have a chance to come back...There is a nice 18 basket frisbee golf course that makes you walk at least a mile if you go through all of them. Being someone who doesn't particularly enjoy just straight up working out or running, this is probably the best exercise I'll get. And it's a bunch of fun. Word. And there are some paved trails for those who want to go on walks or bike rides. I haven't yet traversed those trails but I think there's a 5k trail and a 10k trail. Finally, there is a pavilion and a playground that is designed like a nice little lodge. I like this park. Have you not noticed?

Our family frequents this park more than any other. Plenty of parking and restrooms are available. The playground is easily accessible via stairs or a path that curves around the restroom area for those with a wheelchair. It is definitely an advantage to have the playground shaded by large trees. Just be aware that the trees do shed their large roller seeds that young toddlers can easily slip on. Still, I'd rather take shade over blatant sun exposure and a playground that turns into a furnace. The playground could use a bit of an upgrade and a new mulching job, but my boys love playing here. Included are a few slides and swings within a curbed area. Surrounding the playground are soccer fields and walking trails (my boys also use it to ride their bicycles). One loops all the way to the east past residences. If you're fortunate you may hear some of the wild turkeys gobble in the woods; too bad their territory is shrinking. Happy yelping!

"Just moved to CLT and this was the first park we visited. Absolutely LOVED it. Perfect for adults, kids, and dogs. One of the best parks in the area."
"Whoa! For a small park, this one's got a lot going on. Newly named and opened Zahra Park (after Zahra Baker) has some new and incredible playground equipment. The slide alone was 3-4 stories high on a hillside. Some great giant spider web like climbing areas and rock wall climbing areas. The toddler swings have some great safety features, almost like roller coaster seat pull down latches. There's also a baseball field, tennis court, giant tree house like structure and a beautiful metal sculpture that moves with the wind. Great little park!"
"Love, Love, Love this park! Great playground, great walking path in a natural setting and plenty of picnic spots to choose from. There's also a pond and picnic shelter with restrooms, water fountain and drink machine. Plenty of parking and always plenty of new friends to make while you're there! Wonderful place for families or a romantic picnic too!"
"Very nice volleyball courts and soccer field. Nice little walkway around the facilities"
"Beautiful park and I had a chance to talk to one of the park rangers who was patrolling to make sure that everything remains tidy and orderly. This big park has a large reservable picnic shelter with tables. Lovely.Seven lighted tennis courts which have seating, including one "championship" court with bleachers. A practice hitting wall area. There is a second shelter at the playground area. Of course, the playground is roped off because of the pandemic but will be great for play once it's over. There is parking available, some of it is shaded. I had a great visit today![Review 13202 overall, 519 of 2020.]"
"Belmont's Newest ParkFound this last week while out exploring. This park opened last Summer and is the most recent addition to Park and Recreation for Belmont.Locate on the upper reaches of Lake Wylie on NC 7 just South of US 74 or Wilkinson Blvd. Not a huge park but well designed with a fenced in Play Area for Kids with lots of swings and slides, Very secure and safe. Multiple picnic tables, some shelter and a nice path down to an Observatory Platform overlooking the Lake. When I was there not much to see of the Lake because of the drought. A Lot of mud flats and little water leading over to an Island. Also has clean restroom facilities. When the Lake is full, will be beautiful. If you have small Kids, a great place to take them, take a Picnic Lunch, walk around and enjoy"
"With a street/farmer's market going on nearby, this playground was super busy with parents and toddlers playing. It's located near to the downtown center of Hickory and there is parking all over. The playground has all sorts of climbing and swinging things going on that are ideal for helping your toddlers burn off energy. Most of the park is fenced off which is great for helping keep kids from possibly wandering off and the limited access gives parents the opportunity to see anyone getting too close. There are tables and benches for picnic and lots of shade. Plenty of spots for the grownups to sit while the little ones play. The park opened in December 2016. Lowes Foods is the naming sponsor, while CommScope and Corning Inc. Foundation also stepped up as lead donors to make the park a reality, in addition to numerous other individuals and groups.[Review 15877 overall - 3095 in North Carolina - 1381 of 2021.]"
"Always excited about the addition of a new park, especially all inclusive ones. The facility is gorgeous with brand new equipment."
"This park is sort of like a hidden gem! It's tucked away in the middle of a small quiet neighborhood. This is my second time visiting but I drive by often on my way home from work. Typically there are no kids here, which was also true for today. The playground is small and only has 2 major pieces of equipment. I would say it's great for younger kids toddlers up to grade 2. Older kids may find it a little boring. There is no parking lot so you have to park along the side of the road in front of the park. There is one bench inside so you can sit and watch your kids play. There also 2 picnic tables right outside the entry gate. I enjoy bringing my niece here whenever I'm trying to avoid a crowd."
"Cool little park behind the YMCA in Mooresville. Very clean and well kept, though showing a little wear around the edges. It's divided into two separate sections, one for smaller kids/toddlers and one for the bigger kids. There were some kids there that were probably too old and big for the park, but they were polite, friendly and didn't pick on the smaller kids. My favorite part is the arbor with all of the miniature climbing rose vines - really beautiful when in full bloom!! There's a very large field nearby (other side of the road) as well, where you can play soccer or fly a kite."
"Checked out Mountain Creek Park on a gorgeous Saturday morning to check out the hiking trails. Super easy to get to from Charlotte. It's actually just 10min more than just heading to crowders and we'll worth it.All the facilities are brand new: office, restrooms, playground, pickle ball courts, dog park, and kayak launches as well as very well marked and maintained trails. Some trails are "hikers only" others are "Mountian bike only". Be sure to pay attention to the one way direction signage for hiking and biking, but the mountain bikers we encountered gave us a good warning before coming upon us. We also kept our heads on a swivel just to be extra careful. The park rangers and staff are super friendly and there are plenty of maps and markings throughout the park. Make sure to check online if the trails are open or not! It's good that they close them when the trails are muddy or conditions are poor so that no one gets hurt and the trails don't get torn up.Lots of parking and picnic areas here! Overall a nice place to spend a day outside with friends and family."
"Stopped here on a road trip, off I-77. My daughter exclaimed, it was the "best park ever"! Zip line, music interactive items, numerous slides, and separate play areas for bigs and littles."
"Very family friendly park for all ages. Multiple playgrounds for Little and big kiddos and a dog park. There is a splash pad open seasonally. The toddler playground has ramps to get on the playground that are wide enough for wheelchair access. There are some paved walking trails with shade my trees. The park offers lots of kid camps in the summer. There is a baseball field in the park as well as few shaded picnic table areas."
