"Blew a tire on the interstate and came to this location for a quick lunch while I was getting my tires changed. Greeted and seated fast. The overall atmosphere of the place was kinda blah. At first there was No music was playing and it was kinda boring. The restaurant was clean though. The waiter was a nice guy and very friendly. The food wasn't bad but wasn't the best. Could have had some more flavor. For being a San Jose I was hoping for better."
"Took to go the Honduras and El Salvadoran steak. Considering that it was a weekday lunch, service was pretty slow and we had to wait 15 minutes longer for our to-go order. The meat was tough and not very flavorful, but the beans were amazing and portions incredible. Two people definitely could have shared one dish!"

"Stopped here for lunch on a whim. Small entrance that opens up to a nice sized sitting area and bar. Prices are very reasonable. We had 6 asada tacos,4 flautas plate, horchata, queso, and another drink for $32. Food was cooked quick even with them being busy. They played current popular Mexican music which was enjoyable. Bar has two large tvs and at this time was showing novellas. Staff was nice. The salsa and salsa roja were a bit mild on the picante scale for me. Tacos had a good portion on meat. Flautas were good as well."
"The food here good. The issue we have is with the service. On one visit the waiter took our order while we were seated in a booth but he was standing at the register in the main dining room. So we had to raise our voice a bit to place our order. He was also a bit sarcastic. He did not return to check on drink refills, instead we had to ask for them. So overall this isn't our favorite Mexican restaurant in town."
"My son and his girlfriend checked out this new place, and thought we'd like it...so my husband and I went on a Saturday night. We got there around 5 pm, and were seated right away. We ended up with this hightop table, but it had comfy chairs. The place itself was small, but very nicely decorated...somewhat goth with its black-on-black decor, though filled with colorful artworks of Frida and such. I loved the ambiance here! The menu was fairly extensive, and rather unique in a way. I ended up getting the Tacos (Barbocoa?), with a side order of Mexican Rice...and my husband got the Chicken Enchiladas Verde. Well, my tacos were very good...though I felt it could have been even better if there was some corn included in the tacos, or as a side with the dish. The rice was just O-Kay. I was actually more impressed with what my husband ordered. My husband thought their Nachos were possibly the best he's had in a while. Also, I had "La Nina" (or something like that...AKA Pina Colada), and it was O-Kay (slightly too watery). The wait service started out good, but our waiter got sidetracked at the bar...and it was hard to get his attention near the end. I was hoping he'd hurry back to check on us by the end of the meal so we could order dessert, but it just took way too long...think we waited at least 10 minutes after we finished eating? By then, we just decided to leave. This was a big bummer...because by looks of things, the desserts might have been the best part of the meal? Definitely lost a star due to such delay. Overall, we both thought the foods were solid. I'd even go out to say it's probably one of, if not the best Mexican food we've had in this part of Charlotte (Pineville-Matthews Road area) in a long time. I think they should have a dedicated bartender, so the waiters can focus more on their tables. Again, I was kind of bummed out about missing the dessert in time (we had to go see a Dylan movie afterwards). Still, a VERY welcome addition...and I'm sure we'll return for more!"
"Pretty legit Mexican food, the servers are nice even though a lot of them aren't good with speaking English. I found this place through my DT Local function in my DT app where I can dine my way to vacation with participating restaurants. I was super excited once I pulled it up on Yelp and saw that the star rating and reviews were great which I didn't question as my DT membership is Top Notch. "message me for details"Back to my review, I first visited his place in the a.m like 10:30am for a meeting to share DT with someone. They had just opened and boy was it freezing cold inside and no sign of heat anywhere. I was wrapped in my sweater and snugged in a booth awaiting my appointment to arrive. I figured since I had another appointment at noon it would warm up by then BUT NO. I almost ignored the amazing Salsa, warm chips, various dips, etc.. due to the cold and was planning not to return until my appontements ordered food and ended up licking their fingers as they signed their apps. I ended up scheduling my next meeting here again the following week at the same time and this time I ordered food and guess what ? It was warm inside , the food was so yummy and fresh and again the service was great. I'll be back, let me know if you want to meet me there"
"In a word? Meh. It was good but it was lacking real flavor. We got the chicken enchiladas, chicken nachos, ground beef tacos and ground beef burrito. The cost was good for the things we ordered and it was ready quickly. By far the best part of the order was how much meat they give you in each order. The chicken was plentiful to say the least. Just wish there was more flavor to the sauces and meat."
"Aesthetic: Authentic Mexican food truck with great birria, staples, and desserts. Experience: I ordered out an order of birria and flan, and the meal was absolute perfection. The birria was tender and the consume dipper was delicious and flavorful. I loved that the flan came in a little heart shaped design, that was a sweet touch! I ordered delivery, but I read on Google that the food truck is located in Pull-A-Part on Tryon. Conclusion: If you love authentic Mexican classics and flan, check this spot out, it's a hidden gem!"
"Standard Mexican restaurant menu. The food was actually pretty good. Solid 4 stars for the food. Salsa, cheese dip and Chili Poblano all good. The chili poblano comes with either beef or chicken. I got the beef, and opted for 2 versus 1. That was a mistake. One chili poblano is large enough to feed a normal size guy, so 2 was way too much. Note, it doesn't come with beans or rice, just the chili poblano. This poblano also packs some heat, which was a surprise to me. The service was very good. The inside looks like any other Mexican restaurant. I have no problem recommended El Carreton."
"El Amigo was a weekly thing when I worked on this side of town! I would bet their nachos to go, I've had their tacos, I even dined in before & had their chicken fajitas. Their rice & beans are so good! Real authentic Mexican food. Some days I'd buy their guac and have it for a snack. It's prepared in house & it's so good. I lol the consistency. I'm love pico de Gallo, so I'd add fresh pico on top o the guac for the extra onions & cilantro. So good!"
"I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ate there for dinner on Saturday and there was no wait. We were close to the door so it was a bit cold. The chips were warm and the salsa was ok. Our server was quick and kept our drinks and chips filled. I ordered the tongue tacos. For 8.50 I got 3 overstuffed tacos and rice and beans. The tacos were excellent. They served them with a dish of sweet onions and cilantro plus a lime. The beans had a good flavor but the rice was a little bland. My husband enjoyed his quesadillas. Our waiter brought out mini sosapillas as a complimentary dessert. I liked that it was crisp and not overly sweet. This is my new go to place for cheap Mexican."

When my friend and I walked in the girl standing at the front register didn't greet us, but another girl walked up and asked us how many people in our party and sat us. We both ordered a chimichanga. I had chicken and my friend had beef. The food was good but not spectacular. The drinks looked good but weren't flavorful or strong. During our visit the service was good but an employee came out and started mopping the floor all around us. This was a bit odd to have to walk over a wet floor after dining. Overall I would rate my experience 3.5. Nothing about the visit would compell me to return.

The Sunday buffet for $12.95 for adults is solid. You get chips and salsa for the table. There's a make-your-own-taco and taco salad option. You also can choose from quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas, sopapillas, rice, beans and other options. Price doesn't include a drink. Plenty of seating and parking. Wasn't too crazy from 12-1 when we were there. Buffet is 12 pm to 2 pm on Sundays only.

I had such a great time here! Make reservations before going and see if there is indoor availability. That's where the cute decorations and DJ is located. We had a table outside and wished we would have been inside. Service was great! The waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations. The food was tasty and served a lot. I had the steak which came with rice and beans and ended with dessert. I normally don't get dessert but had to try the churro with ice cream. So good!

Carnitas Guanajuato really let me down. After seeing such great reviews I was anxious to check out this spot while in the area. The place is huge, which was a definite standout the night I was there, as I don't believe they had enough servers so service took forever and someone different took my order, delivered my food and gave me my bill. With that said, we received chips and salsa when we arrived, but they must have been short that night because we only got two salsas so I asked for the limes and pico...which eventually did receive. We started with Margaritas, stay away unless you like Margarita Mix that is SO sweet, too much for me.I ordered the Chicken Fajitas, because you really cannot mess that up. Well you can, but not too much. The chicken and veggies were good, nice and hot on a steaming platter. However, the beans and rice were cold. I tried to flag someone down, which took about 20 minutes, and was finally able to get them heated up..which was so bad because instead of serving fresh rice and beans they re-heated my plate, making everything else, including the guacamole, hot and nasty. Should have just eaten the cold rice and beans. After finally receiving the receipt, and spending a lot more time there than I had expected, I am in no rush to return anytime soon.

Great food, I'm not a big Mexican food fan but this place is great. Food is always fresh and delicious, staff are friendly, helpful, and go out their way to make your experience a great one.

"Probably the best Mexican dinner I've had in Charlotte! Everything is so tasty, and their dishes stick to the classics with an elevated flair! The service is always spectacular, I recommend sitting at the bar but there isn't a bad table in the place. The tuna tostada is one of the freshest, most delicious things I've had in a while. Definitely give it a try!"
"I wasn't expecting much when I arrived here, coming from a big city that's full of mediocre Mexican food it was hard to imagine a small town like Newton would have a really decent spot, but I was wrong! The salsa bar is extensive, almost all of the ones I tried were quite good and full of flavor. I ordered the Carnitas which were simple but done well and the portion size was very generous, especially for the price.I'll happily return upon my next visit to the area!"
"Fabulous Mexican food and great service! My kid loves the robot waiter that helps deliver food. It plays music and is very fun! I loved my chicken enchiladas and the sauces were homemade and delicious! Reasonable prices and great service!"
"We stopped by Zapata's for lunch on Sunday and the food was good but very over priced. One of the interesting things about moving to Charlotte was the difference in Mexican food. Down here, ACP has red sauce on it?? At Zapata's you're looking at an $18 price tag for ACP and $1.50 extra if you want cheese dip on top. My husband got a combination platter that had a good size portion, and I ordered 1 soft taco with a side of rice. The beef in the taco was very flavorful but the taco shell was just a regular store bought flour tortilla. When the bill came, the taco was $4.50 which makes sense, but my side of rice was a whopping $6! How in the world does a side of plain rice cost that much? We'll continue trying Mexican eateries in the area but we have yet to find one that sticks."
"I met a friend at El Cancun for dinner on my drive home from Ohio to Jacksonville. Rock Hill was my halfway point where I spent the night to break up the long trip. Bonus, the restaurant was 10 minutes from my hotel.I started with a medium mango Margarita. Wow, the medium was larger than I expected. And I could actually taste a little alcohol which was a sign I would only need one lol! I ordered a quesadillas with shredded chicken. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. And there was plenty of it! I could only eat half. It was served with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Our server was friendly and helpful. And she checked in on us regularly. If you're looking for a good Margarita and dinner, this is the place to go!"
"We've ordered takeout a few times from Las Trancas since moving to Randleman a few months ago; very pleased to report that each time had been a good experience. Their quesadillas are insanely delicious, juicy and flavorful; so far we've sampled the grilled steak, shredded chicken, grilled chicken and a plain cheese for the kids. If you order a platter/plate it will come with guacamole salad, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. So tasty; the steak quesadilla is my favorite! Also enjoyed were the chicken burrito with rice & beans, the steak burrito with rice & beans, chips, salsa and guacamole. I will most definitely continue to order out from Las Trancas; I'm pretty excited to try some other menu items in the future, so I'll definitely add more photos soon."
"Love this place! The food is awesome and the family that runs it are awesome. I recommend the tacos! I love the cheese steak burrito, too...but, all their food is great!!"
"We were seated quickly and enjoyed the outside seating. The lights were a nice touch! Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Ordered the Steak Mexicano and it was flavorful. I love spicy food and the jalapeños were not overpowering but married well with the onions on the steak. My only points off were the pina coladas did not taste as authentic and fresh as I would have hoped! Otherwise, would come back to try the margarita flights!"
"This place has been on my bucket list since forever and I've finally made it here!! We came right before opening and there was already a line so I knew it had to be good. For new comers, they ask if this is your first time and if so, you get a bottle opener keychain and a spiel on how to order. They're super patient for your first time so don't be intimidated. You can add anything onto your burrito at no extra costs -- yes, even guac!!! There's a couple of salsas that you can ask to get at the end to top off your burrito and you can't go wrong with any of the options. The burrito was super filling, but didn't feel heavy, flavorful, and the service was also top notch. You can tell that they truly care about their customers. Would highly recommend you check this place out as it's definitely a Charlotte staple, you won't be disappointed!"
"LISTEN HERE!!!! All caps because I'm yelling! This food is delicious. I've been in Fayetteville off and on since 2015. This is hands down the best meal I've had. Antonella's delicious. Drop by the River was a fave. But La Perla!!!!! Whew chile! Phenomenal! Superb! Starting off with my server...maybe Christina? I sat at the bar and got a casamigos house margarita with light sour mix. Perfecto! The queso with chorizo!!!! I need emojis. So good! I ordered the Red Snapper Pacifico. Man! Chef's kiss. I wanted to ask the chef was his momma in the restaurant because I was gonna slap her!!!!! And the rice was soooooooo delicious. The salad had cucumbers and red onions which is not the norm at a Mexican spot. This was definitely elevated Mexican cuisine. Great job!!!! Run to this spot!"
"The service was great. Ambiance was ok. We went during lunch. It was all that you would expect and more.I had the lunch express; spinach enchilada, refried beans and rice. I guess that I was expecting creamed spinach; it wasn't. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. The fact that I got the lunch express probably didn't give the food a fair chance. I would go back, but would try something different from the menu."
"I loved this cute spot right in the heart of Mt Pleasant. We were seated immediately and the whole energy inside and at the bar was fun! We sat outside on the enclosed patio which had fans and enjoyed our whole experience! We received chips, salsa and queso immediately- all excellent and the servers were attentive and nice. I ordered the flautas which were great, rice was bland bit no big deal. The burrito was massive! And they surprised us with dessert , maybe due to Father's Day? Anyhow, definitely get the margaritas, they were very good most definitely stop by when in the area, was a great experience!"
"Camino Express is certainly as described! The two ladies were super friendly & efficient while taking orders and preparing them. They are a combination between traditional Mexican food with the adjacent side served as a fresh bakery & coffee shop! Camino Express was very clean & well organized and I really liked the displayed menus on the walls that looked more like decor than just a bland traditional black & white menu. The price & serving size were very friendly as well, having that massive burrito, it was only 9.99$. They cook it all out in the open where the customers can witness as well which is unique for Thomasville. I imagine Caminos is going to be here for the long haul & I definitely would recommend anyone looking for quality fresh served food to give Caminos a try! Same parking lot as Ingles !"
"My fiancé and I went twice this week. Sunday for some beers and chips and guacamole (which was fresh!). Second time we went Tuesday for the Taco Special. My favorite the carnitas!! Great service seeing how busy they were. Really good, definitely will go back."
"Makes the top 5 Mexican in Gaston county. A surprisingly great experience in what feels like a hole in the wall restaurant. Amazing food and drinks specials"
"BEST tacos in Fayetteville area. Carnitas tacos are to die for. Good service. I hope this place sticks around :)"
"This location is just ok for me. I was in the area and decided to get a to go order. I've been to other sabor's before but this location was a first for me. There was only one table there and I didn't wait long to place my order. The staff isn't that friendly and it was hard to hear anything the cashier was saying because it was so loud in there. Also, they do have salsa to go but only two different flavors. I had to ask for the salsa I wanted. I ordered two meals and when she handed me the two to go solo mini cups of salsa, I asked for two more and she seemed slightly annoyed. Not my go to location and not sure I'll be back."
"The reviews are pretty solid but for those who left negative reviews, what the heck are you on about? I think that's an English phrase and I needed to try it. Please read it again and imagine me holding an ice-cold pint of beer in a London bar. Moving alone.... I had the BLT Chicken Tacos. I didn't even know such things existed. For $8, I got two tacos and a big bowl of chips. To me, that's pretty good value for lunch. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pretty cool. Definitely recommended! Cheers..."
"The new owner is absolutely amazing: young, energetic, responsive and hustling hard as is the staff. Food was fresh and plentiful."
"When we arrived at 6pm, the place seemed a little discombobulated. No one was at the front to greet customers. There was a gentleman in the back/kitchen area who we made eye contact with and he seemed to be alerting others to our presence. Once seated our orders were placed and our waiter was friendly. The food was amazing! Huge portions and everything tasted freshly made. My only complaint would be the guacamole for the table. I ordered the small/one avocado portion. I believe we were brought the two avocado portion because I was charged $12. It was delicious, but more than I was expecting to pay. Overall, some kinks need to be worked out with number of servers but still a great restaurant."
"great food for an amazing price. the employees are so kind and i always enjoy chatting with them. i have pretty complicated orders with a lot of modifications and they never mess up my order. i love this place and definitely recommend it to anyone ! the desserts are also amazing definitely try some sweets. (my faves are the flan and tres leches)"
"This place is a hidden gem to begin with. Around it, you have Taco Bell...Denny's, McDonald's...etc etc. But when I'd want authentic I would automatically go to don Pedro's or to the east side of charlotte. But to honest...some of the best places to eat are easily overlooked. I've been in and out of this gas station for years but finally decided to give this grill a try and it's one of the best choices I've made recently. They not only have street food (tacos, burritos etc). But they also have some of your larger meals. There were too Latino females cooking on the grill when I went and they both were very friendly indeed. This will surely be my go to spot whenever I need a taco or Latino fix. Give them a try....it's great."
"It's been a while since I have dined there but noticed I did not leave one the last time, so I visited again this afternoon,Droved over this afternoon while we were waiting for a repair man to work on a leak in one of our bathrooms.Got there around 1:30 pm and was a bit surprised. Based on the number in cars in the parking lot, I expected a less than full house. Not sure where they parked but restaurant had a very good lunch crowd.Walked in and was immediately seated and my server took my drink order. I just ordered my regular Unsweetened Tea with Lemon. Before I ordered, I asked if I could substitute beans for the rice. Funny thing being that while I was raised in the South, never acquitted a taste for rice. Was told I could which is what I expected so I went ahead and ordered. For my main, I ordered a Steak Quesadilla Fajitas along with the beans in question and Crema Salad.Did not have to wait long before it was brought to my table.Started with the customary Nacho Chips and Salsa. Nice bit of heat but not overpowering.Portions are generous and the food is excellent, Nice and hot right out of the over. The Steak Quesadilla Fajita was excellent thought a bit greasy. The beans were very good and not cooked to a mush and the Crema Salad was nice and fresh. I took a little of the Salsa along with a bit of my Salad added it on top of the Quesadillas. Made a nice compliment to each other. My server was excellent and did a great job. She was there whenever I needed her and out of sight when she was not. This restaurant in tucked into a little strip mall next to a Food Lion.Very clean and well organized and from what I could see, very well managed. Will be back to try other things on the menu in the near future."
