"I love the El Dominicano Burrito at Sabor. It is so nice to have a burrito option that is not 1000 calories just from rice alone. The burrito is filled with cabbage and sautéed onion, as well as chicken (or a different meat option, if preferred) and the Rosada sauce. I prefer to substitute in the spicy Rosada sauce and also add shrimp and avocado to mine. It makes for an especially filling and delicious meal.My husband likes the more classic Three Amigos Burrito, which is another great and filling option for someone looking for the "more traditional Tex-Mex" style burrito.The salsas are also excellent. My favorite to put on my El Dominicano burrito is the pineapple habanero salsa. It is both flavorful and quite spicy. My husband likes the traditional salsa arbol, which is more medium spicy. The guacamole is excellent as well. We prefer to top it with hot sauce for an extra kick. One note: Chips are not included with a regular meal and must be purchased separately. Not a big deal, just good to know."

I should of had queso added to them but the rosado sauce did it thang and was so tasty. I think the Yucca fries are going to be my standard order from now on. I will probably go with chicken or steak next time. It's been awhile since I've been to any Sabor and I was surprised but not totally surprised that the tacos on taco Tuesday have gone up about 50 cents in price. That's to be expected during Covid so I didn't fret they are still just 1.49 each. However the tacos had no taste. My niece even stated the tacos didn't taste like anything. The meat was super bland and even with salsa it wasn't any better. The chicken was better than the beef. In all honesty the beef looked like mystery meat. All in all I wasn't impressed with this location. Don't know if this was just an off day or this is the new standard. I will visit again and update accordingly. For new comers, they ask if this is your first time and if so, you get a bottle opener keychain and a spiel on how to order. They're super patient for your first time so don't be intimidated. You can add anything onto your burrito at no extra costs -- yes, even guac!!! There's a couple of salsas that you can ask to get at the end to top off your burrito and you can't go wrong with any of the options. The burrito was super filling, but didn't feel heavy, flavorful, and the service was also top notch. You can tell that they truly care about their customers. Would highly recommend you check this place out as it's definitely a Charlotte staple, you won't be disappointed!"

It definitely is worth the price.I had the Quesa Birria burrito and just like the California it was packed with birria, rice, beans etc. (another one we definitely could have shared). I cannot speak more to that.As far as the service goes, we received our food within 5 minutes (definitely not more than 8) it was pretty fast. you pretty much order your food and that's the most interaction that you have until you are leaving and they come and clean up your table unless you need something they are at the hostess stand, at the bar, or in the kitchen.I loved the open concept, it definitely looks like it's family owned and that is one of the reasons I will definitely come back!!"

I ordered ACP Texano which is basically ACP with chicken, shrimp and steak. The shrimp were perfectly cooked but there was no queso on the plate at all. My favorite thing about ACP is all melty liquidy queso over the rice and chicken, but not in this case. The cheese was shredded cheese melted over top that just became hard as it sat. I asked for a side of queso to dump on top. The side of queso was tiny and more than $5 which I thought was a little steep for what it was.I enjoyed my margarita and they have a great beer selection as well. This particular night, they were setting up for live music as we were leaving. Bummer! Overall, a great neighborhood spot!"

Down here, ACP has red sauce on it?? At Zapata's you're looking at an $18 price tag for ACP and $1.50 extra if you want cheese dip on top. My husband got a combination platter that had a good size portion, and I ordered 1 soft taco with a side of rice. The beef in the taco was very flavorful but the taco shell was just a regular store bought flour tortilla. When the bill came, the taco was $4.50 which makes sense, but my side of rice was a whopping $6! How in the world does a side of plain rice cost that much? We'll continue trying Mexican eateries in the area but we have yet to find one that sticks."

Upon entering, I encountered about 8 customers standing between two side tables against the wall and 3-4 booths. It was crowded, to say the least. I maneuvered my way to the front as I had a reservation. I noticed the restaurant is very small with no more than 12 tables that will seat either 2-4 customers. It was VERY busy. No one ever checked for my reservation as it didn't seem to matter. Most of the people standing in the entry way had to go orders and were quickly gone. I noticed one table further inside was preparing to leave. The waitress tried to sit the two of us at a double table against the wall where people enter the restaurant but I shook my head no. She gave in and sat us at the now available booth.Service was spotty. On this day, yes, we wanted margaritas. I ordered the regular (lemon) and my friend ordered the mango frozen margarita. Mine was okay and did not include a salt rim. I requested it later and she brought me another glass with a salted rim. My friend didn't like the mango version at all and didn't drink it. She ordered a Sprite instead and it was served cold, in a bottle. Now the food was delicious! For an appetizer, we had queso with ground beef and chips (5/5). I can't find the name of my entree but it was queso and beef with rice and beans (5/5). It was supposed to come with tortillas but they never arrived. It took a little work to get our check when we were done eating. There were 3 of them working in the restaurant, along with a man at the counter, and I don't know how many in the kitchen. My suggestion is to get the food by ordering online. You may want to order in person the first time to identify your favorites. Then, the order can be ready when you arrive. I plan to order the same dish when I am in the area as I don't prefer eating inside the restaurant at all. Food - 5/5Service - 3/5Restaurant environment - 2/5"

No one took the time to remove the tail from the shrimp. You get 4 tortillas, they were small and barely warm.Overall the flavor was just OK.
