"Here we were eating at this delicious restaurant again! Let me tell you this - the food is delicious. The customer service is great! The price is a bit high for what we got but I don't blame this restaurant- that my friends is the economy we have in Washington DC right now driving our prices out of control. (End of politics rant )The price for both of us was about 22 bucks each and considering we ate delicious lamb, two huge bowls lentil soup , two different kinds of hummus and drinks - I have no complaints. It is delicious food ! If you don't try it - you've missed out."
"OMG! Ordered a build your own bowl, on DoorDash and it was bursting with flavor! I went with the greens and grains base opting for the cumin jasmine rice and spinach & kale mix. My toppings included cucumber & tomato salad, purple cabbage slaw, Sumac onion, chickpea and roasted red pepper salad, Tunisian hummus and Shawarma chicken as my protein. As a sauce girlie I had to have the tzatziki, Lebanese garlic sauce and the Harrissa yogurt. All the flavors meshed together perfectly! I now have a new fav Mediterranean spot and will be adding Yafo to my weekly lunch line up."

"I have dined here a few times. The service and food are consistently 5 out of 5. Our server patiently answered our questions and was attentive throughout our time there. She also made sure to verify that all items for my son were gluten-free. The kitchen even went above and beyond by preparing the falafel to make it gluten-free. I should add that it was some of the best falafel I have ever had. It was very flavorful with just the right amount of spice. And it was not dry! All of the food was delicious. Our server made sure to let us know that the special Chicken dish would take 30 minutes to prepare. It was well worth the wait! I have never gone and it be crowded. Hopefully it stays one of the best kept secrets in the area!"
"There is no better Greek food in Charlotte than this!! Their food is excellent and service was great. I just wish we lived closer to this awesome restaurant!!!"
"Enjoyed a nice lunch here at La Shish Kabob. Plenty of seating as the restaurant is quite spacious. Service was friendly & helpful and it was easy to navigate the menu. Loved my chicken kabob platter with rice; the salad that accompanied was delicious & refreshing! Chicken was cooked perfectly and the rice was delish. The hummus platter was plentiful enough for two and we were thrilled to have leftovers. Staff was so nice bringing us all little containers so we could take every morsel home and they even gave us extra pita; so accommodating! Thank you so much for a great meal!"
"We enjoyed a delicious Falafel Pita and the chicken skewers along with their lemon and chicken soup. The soup was especially good on this cold night! I'm glad we asked for the dessert (with pistachios on top - I forget the Greek name) to go as we were VERY and well satisfied from our meal. The very friendly staff helped make this a great experience we look forward to repeating soon! FYI: the dessert was so good!"
"Big fan. Everything had so much flavor! Some stand out dishes include the saganaki appetizer, zucchini chips, capellini and lamb. They do lamb *very* well. As for everywhere in Charlotte, the prices are a little high. I wish the saganaki was a little larger of a portion for the money. 4 of us shared the appetizer and it was a small 1-2 bites each. The tzatziki sauce was incredibly fresh. I loved my capellini with the scallops. We had reservations and so glad we did because this place was totally packed on a Friday night. It was really crowded and noisy to be honest but it was fine for our small group outing."
"A recommendation from my hotel! It has the look and feel of a local joint. I sat at the bar. I had a side salad (I forgot to take a picture). Very good. The Greek Style Spaghetti was an unexpected delight. The noodles are hollow so the sauce is inside and outside of the pasta. The sauce! Not a traditional tomato-y sauce. It was sweet and hardy The entire dish was covered in cheese with a side of garlic bread I had leftovers which I ate later that night! 5 mins from Tru-Asheville. GO! You won't be disappointed!"
"The food is really flavorful here. It's suppose to be a little upscale fancy but for me it felt like casual dining. Great for a date night can be intimate setting but a lot of group families dine here. They need MORE waiters. I enjoyed the lamb chops. Portion size are small to average. My husband was still hungry when we left."
"We thad food to go, and it was very authentic. Everything from the tabouli to the Kibie, humus, grape leaves was excellent. Our group knows great Mediterranean (Syrian) food, and this is one of the best we've had except home cooking. The woman who helped us was freindly and happy to give us extra plates and forks.Next time I'm in townb, this where I'll be oreding my Syrian style food."
"This is such a great addition to the food scene in Cornelius! The owners are so wonderful; the service and food were incredible! I truly enjoyed myself. We sampled Cilantro Shrimp on our visit, and they were heavenly. Even after the shrimp was gone, we wouldn't let the server take the dish because the sauce was so yummy! The Triple Dip comes with Hummus, Baba Ghanoush & Tzatziki, topped with olive oil, and Served with a side of pita bread. This was good, but not my favorite appetizer. The Hummus was solid and creamy, and the Tzatziki was also pleasing but both weren't "special". None of us liked the Baba Ghanoush, it was too heavily smoked for us.Sambousik Cheese is a deep-fried hand-crafted pastry pocket filled with a blend of white cheeses, onions & parsley. This was far and away my favorite dish we sampled. These homemade delights are filled with feta cheese, but it isn't like the feta we are used to. This was creamy with a lovely pull. We shared 2 different entrees. The first one was a Shawarma Beef Platter consisting of classic Angus beef shawarma oven-broiled in-house with marinades and spices, served with Lebanese rice, hummus, onions, parsley, sumac, pickled turnips & side of pita. I wasn't crazy about the beef, it was a little tough for me. I preferred the chicken. The Shawarma Chicken Platter was more to my liking, but even that left me a little underwhelmed. It's oven-broiled sliced chicken breast in house marinades and spices, served with Lebanese rice, hummus, pickles & a side of pita. Next time I will try the kebab, and there will be a next time!We indulged in dessert as well. We all got baklava. It was amazing! you get two small pieces made with pistachios (this is the Lebanese way) and the other two are made with walnuts (this is the Greek style).A wonderful restaurant, I can't wait to go back to try new dishes!"
"Greetings to those who are reading this! Wanted to take a minute to express my thoughts about my visit to the Yafo/Dilworth - East Boulevard location. My wife prefers this location for the kind and helpful staff that are working at this spot. SouthPark team was a bit unfriendly to her - Attitude! - She's sensitive - so what can I say. We live in the City Park section of Charlotte - It is truly a food desert. Anyways - 2 Thumbs Up - This is truly the spot if you want to get your "Fix" of Israeli/Mediterranean food. The Schnitzel is crispy and delicious; - Just like you would find if you were visiting Tel Aviv. My wife typically picks up from this location several times per week; - We have "Incorporated" Yafo into our "Dinner Rotation" - We are two working professional and just don't have the time to cook. I personally am well versed in Israeli Food ;-) "Shalom Habibi" - Just tried the Falafel yesterday and was truly amazed at how delicious it was. Thank G-d for Angel Pita! - Looking forward to trying the Steak/Beef; - Just haven't gotten around to it. I understand that they have a Brunch and serve the famous Israel Brunch - Shakshoukah - However, I can't confirm this and it seems that different options are available at different locations. Anyways, the Dilworth location can get busy; - This is great - as it seems that food is moving quick and things are definitely fresh and well prepared. Israeli's are loud people and that seems to be the case @ Yafo; - Staff are alive and active - Shouting out orders. This may be the South; - but - you are definitely stepping into Israel when you walk into Yafo - So, don't be afraid to assert yourself. Where am I going with all of this? The food is fresh, authentic and delicious. I tip my hat to Shai Fargian - Who is without question a Culinary Genius; - Shai, "Habibi" - you have really duplicated the experience. Well done! Would avoid ordering from Yafo, via Doordash or any of those "Lazy" Services - Best, to come in and experience it. I believe my wife was introduced to Yafo from their generous sponsorship of an event in the Charlotte schools. Anyways - A+ - OMG, how could I forget. I want to send a special "Shout Out" to the Dilworth Team - Especially, "Athena" & "Vanessa" - Thank you for being so kind, accommodating and patient with me this week. I've been a bit slow, being that I was not expecting this "Greatness" that I walked into, while recovering from Hand/Elbow Surgery! Toda Raba! - - Thank you Yafo for going out of your way to respect my observance of Kosher."

This is just an update of what we have a few days ago at this Jasmine Grill after I met two new friends. We all were volunteers at Trump's rally in Charlotte. The two new friends have heritage from Middle East. And I have a new visitor from HongKong, he loves new food. I then suggested this place to see how they would grade the food.We ordered kabobs, Shawarma. They all enjoyed the food and gave good comments. We ordered coffee, just they didn't have cinnamon. Other than that, everything was very good.

For fast casual, this place Rocks! Great service and extensive offerings of middle eastern food. We chose the build your own bowl option. I enjoyed the cauliflower rice and super fresh veggies topped with shawarma chicken. With the endless variety offered, I could eat here every day!

Loved this place I can't believe I have never been before! Service was great. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate with fries and yellow rice as my two sides. It came with so much chicken! I loved the seasoning on the fries and the rice. The chicken was super flavorful and tender. I also loved the garlic sauce that it came with. I even ordered a 16oz container of it to take home. My sister had the chicken kebabs and they were also very tender. They had a nice chargrilled flavor as well.Overall, everything was so fresh and flavorful and I will definitely come back to try other menu items!

Fantastic! The building could use a little renovation, a deep cleaning, and it is not the best part of town, however! The food was amazing and our server was very sweet and efficient! Food came out fast and hot! We shared the Greek salad to start and it was outstanding! The dressing was a little different than we have had at other Greek restaurants, but man it was good! We both had Gyro's, one traditional and one chicken- both outstanding and overfilled with meat!! And the fries were killer!!Why are you still reading this? If you want some crazy mad good flavorful Greek food, run, don't walk to this restaurant!! To those about to dine, I salute you!!

First and foremost, the young lady who rang us up was a gem. She was friendly and helped us make choices, all of which we were happy with. The gyro was the best of the savory food. Then the two desserts - can't remember names, but one was like baklava but with a different filling, and the other had coconut in it. Both were great. Place itself is casual, seems they operate as a quasi market as well. Look forward to being back!

Super clean place, great service, nice staff, food is always spot on.Some people ask why I frequent the same restaurant so many times with a few of mine but it's because they are some of the best restaurants I I have been to. I always have a great experience The Greek Grill being one of them. (And it's close to home!)

I've been meaning to check out this place for while now, but for one reason or another, unable to...'til now. Surprisingly, the place looked well lived in (thought it was relatively new?), the place had a very warm and inviting vibe...and I even liked their overhead piano music.Their menu featured an unusual mix of Italian and Greek specialities. For me, at least, the appetizers were especially appealing. We ended up ordering 2 appetizers...Zucchini + Eggplant Chips and Calamari Fritti...and both were really good. Yet, not sure why they had to ruin the presentation by adding a layer of paper sheet to both of these appetizer dishes. Cheapened the look...at least to me! BTW, I really wanted to try their "Taste of Spreads" as well...but that was getting a tad too greedy. Maybe next time? For the entrees, I ordered the Capellini...and my husband got the Garganelli. Surprisingly, the portions were way larger than what I anticipated...but the flavor was a bit underwhelming. My Capellini was a tad better...which wasn't surprising, given its lofty price points. We liked...but didn't love our entrees. From what we ordered, we thought the appetizers were stronger than the entrees.Lastly, I enjoyed their Passion Fruit Mojito mocktail...very sweet and refreshing.Service was VERY attentive...exceedingly so! Our waitress was fine, but there were 2 busboys (male staff, that is) standing nearby, staring at the diners the whole time (did NOT like this!). Maybe it's just me and my pet peeve, but I've never been a fan of the waitstaff standing by too close and/or staring while patrons are trying to eat or have private conversations. I just find it rude and intrusive. Despite some annoying points, I really liked their eclectic menu...and thought it was a good, solid restaurant.

"So delicious! Mediterranean food is my favorite, and Greco did not disappoint. Our family got two kids meals, the tzatziki dip appetizer, two traditional lamb gyros, both as combos but one with stuffed grape leaves and the other with hummus and pita. Everything was so yummy! I can't wait to return."
"Good Souvlaki Platter with Chicken. Good lunch would recommend. Flavors were good. Place was clean and service was good."
"We were looking for a quick and healthy lunch and remembered this spot in Wesley Chapel. Several tables outside under a covered and private patio and a decent amount of seating inside was a pleasant surprise! We ordered the gyro platter and the greek salad with grilled chicken. Both meals were excellent and great portion sizes. Service was friendly too!!"
"I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Hellenic Greek Kitchen & Bar! We started with the Spicy Feta appetizer, and it was out of this world. The perfect balance of heat and creaminess, paired with fresh, warm pita, made it a dish we couldn't stop eating. For the main course, I chose the Lemon Feta Orzo with Grilled Chicken, and it was nothing short of perfection. The orzo was rich and flavorful, with the zesty lemon and creamy feta coming together beautifully. The grilled chicken was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, complementing the dish wonderfully. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and elegant. Whether you're a Greek cuisine enthusiast or new to the flavors, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu!"
"Worth every penny. You will not find a better value anywhere in Charlotte. Breakfast for 3 was $36 and that included a $6 tip. The food is delicious. I just order omelets because what's better? You order at the counter and then seat yourself. Just don't forget to pay before you leave. The family that runs this place are super friendly. A couple of the homies are hilarious. Parking isn't specifically designed all that great but if that doesn't bother you then there's a ton of it lol. The dining room is small. If you have a large group they only have a handful of tables they can merge together. But this is my second option for breakfast in Charlotte. Budget super friendly..."
"A convenient location. It's right beside a Starbucks & Gas Station. If you're craving Falafel, lamb, and Mediterranean, this will definitely hit the spot. Very clean inside. Various tables to choose from if you decide to dine in. Full menu that consists of wraps, salads, platters, and many side dish items. We ordered a chicken pita with fries and a chicken Greek salad. Both are very tasty with lots of flavor. Ordered one falafel, was not really a fan. It was small and cold and felt like powder when I but into it. The employees were super friendly and efficient. Put our order in, and no less than 2 minutes, our order was ready. Definitely will be returning to try other things on their menu."
"We came late night for some shwarma and it was delicious. I also got a few sides including fries and tabbouleh. Everything was fresh and everyone was super friendly. There was only one other party when we got there so we got great service and everything was clean. Super clean even. Though, we did get our wraps to go. It was a great combo of sauces. The garlic was fresh and the spicy sauce was on point!"
"I took my daughter, her bestie and my grand-dog to, The Jimmy, for Sunday brunch. "OUTSTANDING!" We dined on the patio, Ben, my grand-dog, you see. Our server, Malaysia, was so pleasant. An absolute pleasure to have as a server. Very helpful with recommendations on both, the meal selections and beverages. (I recommend the Oatmeal Stout!) Malaysia recommended their Crab Benedict. Great suggestion! It was absolutely to die for! My daughter had the frittata and was very pleased. It seemed to take a while to get our check, but we had plenty to talk about, so it wasn't an issue. But had we been in a hurry, it might have been a little awkward. All in all, it was definitely 5 outta 5 stars. I WILL be returning."
"Greco Fresh Grille is my absolute favorite restaurant to get a greek salad with chicken kebab. I don't think I have ever left a restaurant two reviews, but THAT is how good their food is. I actually just finished my salad and had to get a platter of their falafel too. Everything is fresh and beautifully seasoned. The chicken is always juicy and moist. The cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, and feta are vibrant! Truly, I am very certain that you will not be disappointed!!"
"I'll definitely be returning to taste more at the Southpark location of Dilworth Tasting Room! This is a great place for groups, and you can make a reservation online. My husband and I came with my parents, and we all enjoyed our drinks and sharing a variety of plates. My dad loves rum, so instead of ordering from the cocktail menu, he asked if the bartended could make him a Painkiller. Our very friendly server returned saying the bartender didn't have the coconut needed for that drink, but the bartender made my dad a great Mai Tai instead. Dad was happy! The rest of us ordered cocktails and wine by the glass from the menu, and all was nicely prepared. For food, we enjoyed the duck empanadas, proscuitto and brie flatbread, and seared tuna. And don't skip dessert! The coconut creme brulee was probably our fave bite of the night."
"Ok going with a solid 4.8... but you get then5 bc everything was hot fresh and quick! I wish I would have seen the specialty fries bc my friend got them and that was a way better idea. Food was brought to the table and staff was nice and friendly. Glad we stopped by for food!"
"This newer spot, which opened this past summer, is very much a hidden gem! I was hesitant to try it, but I'm so glad I did. Everything I ordered was absolutely incredible. The babaganoush, kofta platter, and cauliflower were all wonderful-packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The fresh pita that accompanies the dips is soft, warm, and delicious. The cilantro rice was sooooo good!!!! I typically don't even care much for rice. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the service was fantastic. I can't wait to return and highly recommend giving this place a try!"
"After hearing good things about Nefelie's and reviewing their menu I decided I had to give them a try on a Wednesday to try the Stuffed Chicken special. Walking inside the restaurant you will be initially confused. The restaurant is upstairs and there is a bar downstairs. You have to walk up the stairs and then an employee greets you. I ordered take out so I just hung around the front. There is a service charge for using your card. I wasn't that impressed with the food or the service. The side items were better than the entree. I got two orders of the stuffed chicken and a couple different side items. The fried okra, the creamed spinach and hummus were all good. The service was subpar and the person taking my order was actually kinda rude. I'm glad I gave them a try and can definitely check off another eatery downtown. I however will not be returning. Nefelie's145 Brevard CtCharlotte, NC 28202February 19, 2020 11am"
"Food is good per dollar, but when I roll up at 11 am when you open and the bathroom is trashed..... You aren't doing things right.A great quick gyro, friendly faces making it happen, but this vibe is inexcusable."
"We enjoyed eating here. It's a small restaurant , clean and bright. The metal chairs a bit uncomfortable for one of my friends. The food we ordered was fresh and delicious, the staff friendly. One orders from the counter and food is brought to the table. We order a side of falafel, a side of hummus. I ordered a rosemary lemon humus, very tasty. The pita bread, soft and fresh. The tzatziki sauce tasty and creamy. We also ordered a falafel pita wrap , a small Greek lemon soup, and a Greek salad Everything was fresh and tasty. We enjoyed everything we ordered and would certainly return again. The prices reasonable, . A kids menu available, they cater and offer a varied menu of popular Greek foods from appetizers, gyros, pitas, salads and desserts"
"This review is overdue. Leaving the courthouse on Friday, 02-10-23, I stopped by your get a small order to go to take back with me to work. If I had time, I would've dined in. I instantly fell in love with all of the tropical plants. I ordered the Greek fries, baklava, and a cherry drink. I enjoyed everything. The staff was pleasant. I'm not in the area often, but I need to return to try more Greek food. I usually only have it at the Greek festival."
"THE BEST halal food truck in all of Charlotte! I go at least 1-2 times/week and it never disappoints. Lamb over rice is amazing!"
"Disappointed I didn't take a pic. After seeing this place pop up on social media for ages, had a chance to stop in. Tried the Meat Shawarma sandwich with fries. It was fantastic and was pleasantly impressed that it lived up the social media driven hype! If you're out and about near lower southend and looking for something fast and casual, definitely stop in."
"Great addition to Camp North End! I'm talking very good Mediterranean food. My boys and I were trying to find something to eat on Memorial Day and stumbled upon this restaurant. We were greeted so kindly upon entering. The servers were very helpful at explaining the menu and patient with us making our selection. The vibe of the place was very upbeat, and the music definitely set the tone. Everyone just seemed happy to be there. I settled on the lamb shawarma, and my boys went with falafel over rice, with a side salad and a vegan wrap. Two of our dishes came with fries. We each samples the others, and I must say, everything was delicious. The lamb was tender and juicy. It just melted in your mouth. This is on my list to try again the next time I visit."
"Great value for the money for the Beef and Lamb Shawarma plate. I got a side of yellow rice and hummus. The hummus came with pita. The first few bites of pita had a drawback taste but it went away. Not sure why it tasted old. I wasn't sure if it was the hummus so I tried it by itself. Anyhow, the rest of the meal tasted good. I was happy they have the iconic whipped garlic. I hope to try the Talapia in Garlic Sauce people are raving about at other locations. The entry and waiting area isn't too appealing but around the corner the dining area is clean and seat cushions compliment the Mediterranean culture. If you like Le Kebab, you'll enjoy this place. They even have Knafeh!"
"We visited Palermo's for the first time last night. It wasn't bad! We enjoyed our meal. The interior is a little dark but it appeared clean. They had a 96.5 sanitation grade posted behind the register. I was worried because, like everywhere else, they seemed to understaffed. Our server also had to handle take outs, the phone, and bus her own tables in addition to waiting on the entire dining room. She was doing a great job of pulling it off. Our food came out correctly. Everything came out in a timely manner. We never ran out of drinks. She was nice and helpful. We ordered a 10 inch pizza to split. It was enough food for us both. The pizza was good. The crust was good. I also ordered a side salad. It was average but the Bleu Cheese dressing was wonderful! I was glad we stopped in for supper. I want to go back and try a pasta dish now!"
"Delicious and different. Very flavorful. We shared beef plov and chicken plov (add the pomegranate and raisins-nice addition to the chicken plov!). We also had the beef and potato manti. We loved everything and will order again. Thank you to the other reviewer who talked about the difficult parking situation. We ordered via UberEats. We live over 20 min away and the food arrived warm."
"A solid pick for a quick lunch or snack - dine in or take out. Everything was made fresh to-order and the owner was a very nice and hard-working guy. A simple establishment, but a diverse menu that is very Americanized. No overly strange or strong spices, and medium-sized portions at a good price.I had the falafel wrap, and the deep-fried chickpea was tasty without having too much spice or seasoning. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and well balanced in the wrap. I opted for the seasoned fries which were nice and the perfect salt balance. There is a couple of tables out front for the sunnier time of day, and a great record store next door to browse through while you digest the meal.Next time I will try some of the more exotic items... several people came in for the chicken tikka and rice dishes and appeared to be regulars."
