"If you are looking for the best fried chicken in the area this is it! Imagine chicken that taste so good that it practically melts in your mouth. You must try this place!"
"This review is overdue. Leaving the courthouse on Friday, 02-10-23, I stopped by your get a small order to go to take back with me to work. If I had time, I would've dined in. I instantly fell in love with all of the tropical plants. I ordered the Greek fries, baklava, and a cherry drink. I enjoyed everything. The staff was pleasant. I'm not in the area often, but I need to return to try more Greek food. I usually only have it at the Greek festival."

"A recommendation from my hotel! It has the look and feel of a local joint. I sat at the bar. I had a side salad (I forgot to take a picture). Very good. The Greek Style Spaghetti was an unexpected delight. The noodles are hollow so the sauce is inside and outside of the pasta. The sauce! Not a traditional tomato-y sauce. It was sweet and hardy The entire dish was covered in cheese with a side of garlic bread I had leftovers which I ate later that night! 5 mins from Tru-Asheville. GO! You won't be disappointed!"
"Good Souvlaki Platter with Chicken. Good lunch would recommend. Flavors were good. Place was clean and service was good."
"This is such a great addition to the food scene in Cornelius! The owners are so wonderful; the service and food were incredible! I truly enjoyed myself. We sampled Cilantro Shrimp on our visit, and they were heavenly. Even after the shrimp was gone, we wouldn't let the server take the dish because the sauce was so yummy! The Triple Dip comes with Hummus, Baba Ghanoush & Tzatziki, topped with olive oil, and Served with a side of pita bread. This was good, but not my favorite appetizer. The Hummus was solid and creamy, and the Tzatziki was also pleasing but both weren't "special". None of us liked the Baba Ghanoush, it was too heavily smoked for us.Sambousik Cheese is a deep-fried hand-crafted pastry pocket filled with a blend of white cheeses, onions & parsley. This was far and away my favorite dish we sampled. These homemade delights are filled with feta cheese, but it isn't like the feta we are used to. This was creamy with a lovely pull. We shared 2 different entrees. The first one was a Shawarma Beef Platter consisting of classic Angus beef shawarma oven-broiled in-house with marinades and spices, served with Lebanese rice, hummus, onions, parsley, sumac, pickled turnips & side of pita. I wasn't crazy about the beef, it was a little tough for me. I preferred the chicken. The Shawarma Chicken Platter was more to my liking, but even that left me a little underwhelmed. It's oven-broiled sliced chicken breast in house marinades and spices, served with Lebanese rice, hummus, pickles & a side of pita. Next time I will try the kebab, and there will be a next time!We indulged in dessert as well. We all got baklava. It was amazing! you get two small pieces made with pistachios (this is the Lebanese way) and the other two are made with walnuts (this is the Greek style).A wonderful restaurant, I can't wait to go back to try new dishes!"
"THE BEST halal food truck in all of Charlotte! I go at least 1-2 times/week and it never disappoints. Lamb over rice is amazing!"
"I recently had dinner at Chapter 6 on a weekday night around 6 pm, and the atmosphere was upscale business casual. It wasn't too busy yet, so we were able to snag a table easily. The waitress was welcoming and took time to explain the menu options. The food itself was fantastic, though it did feel a bit on the pricey side for what you get. The standout dishes were definitely the short ribs (we ordered the small for $36, which was perfect for 2 people), which were tender and full of flavor, and the whipped ricotta! The gnocchi lamb was also delicious, although the gnocchi itself was on the mushier side. However, as the restaurant filled up, the service slowed considerably, and it took what felt like 15 minutes to get the check, which was a bit frustrating. Despite the slow service towards the end, I'd still recommend Chapter 6 as a great date night spot. The food quality and ambiance make it a solid choice for a special evening out and there were a few unique dishes definitely worth trying!"
"Chicken Saltimbocca. Words that I don't typically associate with a food truck, but there it was, staring at me. Begging me to try it out.I've only had Fresh Med once, and that was at Blue Blaze's 1 year anniversary party, which happened to be Fresh Med's anniversary as well. Service was kind and quick (although there wasn't a giant line, so I don't know how they operate in full production). I did order the Chicken Saltimbocca sandwich, which turned out very well cooked, juicy, and extremely flavorful. The sandwich was on the smaller side, but it was packed with deliciousness. Can't wait to try out the rest of their offerings, and I'll definitely be adding this to the list of trusted trucks in Charlotte!"
"I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Hellenic Greek Kitchen & Bar! We started with the Spicy Feta appetizer, and it was out of this world. The perfect balance of heat and creaminess, paired with fresh, warm pita, made it a dish we couldn't stop eating. For the main course, I chose the Lemon Feta Orzo with Grilled Chicken, and it was nothing short of perfection. The orzo was rich and flavorful, with the zesty lemon and creamy feta coming together beautifully. The grilled chicken was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, complementing the dish wonderfully. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and elegant. Whether you're a Greek cuisine enthusiast or new to the flavors, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu!"
"A solid pick for a quick lunch or snack - dine in or take out. Everything was made fresh to-order and the owner was a very nice and hard-working guy. A simple establishment, but a diverse menu that is very Americanized. No overly strange or strong spices, and medium-sized portions at a good price.I had the falafel wrap, and the deep-fried chickpea was tasty without having too much spice or seasoning. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and well balanced in the wrap. I opted for the seasoned fries which were nice and the perfect salt balance. There is a couple of tables out front for the sunnier time of day, and a great record store next door to browse through while you digest the meal.Next time I will try some of the more exotic items... several people came in for the chicken tikka and rice dishes and appeared to be regulars."
"Mira Spanish Grill rarely lets us down for Grape, food and quality service and tonight was not the exception. It was our anniversary and we had a phenomenal meal, which was suggested by the waitress who we understand was relatively new, but she was phenomenal. She went out of her way to take care of it and had a beautiful dessert made for us for our anniversary."
"After hearing good things about Nefelie's and reviewing their menu I decided I had to give them a try on a Wednesday to try the Stuffed Chicken special. Walking inside the restaurant you will be initially confused. The restaurant is upstairs and there is a bar downstairs. You have to walk up the stairs and then an employee greets you. I ordered take out so I just hung around the front. There is a service charge for using your card. I wasn't that impressed with the food or the service. The side items were better than the entree. I got two orders of the stuffed chicken and a couple different side items. The fried okra, the creamed spinach and hummus were all good. The service was subpar and the person taking my order was actually kinda rude. I'm glad I gave them a try and can definitely check off another eatery downtown. I however will not be returning. This was my first time here. I didn't even know this restaurant was here. They have a few items on the menu that I wanna try out so I will come back and update the review after a few more visits. I ordered the flounder sandwich and fries and a strawberry cake. The customer service was good I didn't have a long wait after I ordered my food and the food was good. I don't know if I will order dessert here again because the cake was stale.

The service is fast and cordial. It appears to be a family-owned and operated. The restaurant offers indoor and shaded outdoor seating. There are beautiful fiddle-leaf plants everywhere. Now, for the food. The food was fresh hot and made to order. The fries were flavorful and fried just right. The gyro which should have been the star of the show was lackluster in flavor. The gyro lamb/beef was sparse and bland. For nearly $20 for lunch, I was disappointed. 3.5 stars

Ordered gyro pita with fries to go. I ordered extra meat and not quite sure whether I got extra meat or not but it was really good regardless. Fries were good too. The cheesecake with caramel was very good. Service was quick and friendly.

Menu is very confusing as it doesn't feel like it is one specific cuisine. We came for the falafels and they were very fresh and tasty. Seating inside and outside. Parking available in plaza and on street.

Been walking pass this truck for a while not realizing they accept cards since most trucks and stands are cash only over there. I was hype when I saw the card reader on the stand so I took a look a look on the side of the truck and checked out the options. I took a late lunch break today so there wasn't a line at all. The prices on the side of the cart are scraped off so I just had to swipe my card and cross my fingers. I ordered the chicken over rice and man was it good! I'll be back to try the lamb next!

My husband and I went to Chapter 6 for the first time. We love trying new things, so we opted to get the The Treatment. Our server was great! She was personable and walked us through what to expect. The food was phenomenal!! We had the tuna crudo, mushrooms, skewers (kafta, shrimp, chicken), crab pasta (server said it was a valentines special), the farmers salad, and cheesecake. One of the best restaurants I have been to in Charlotte!! We hadn't even finished the meal yet, and I was already telling my husband I wanted to come back!

Delicious!! Came to Catawba and saw they were in the parking lot. We decided to grab a few things for lunch. Their food is fresh and filling. And a huge plus is that they serve Tahitian Treat in a can!!! I got the italian sandwich. It was so good and very flavorful. The toppings were great. I can't wait to run into this food truck again.

"I'll definitely be returning to taste more at the Southpark location of Dilworth Tasting Room! This is a great place for groups, and you can make a reservation online. My husband and I came with my parents, and we all enjoyed our drinks and sharing a variety of plates. My dad loves rum, so instead of ordering from the cocktail menu, he asked if the bartended could make him a Painkiller. Our very friendly server returned saying the bartender didn't have the coconut needed for that drink, but the bartender made my dad a great Mai Tai instead. Dad was happy! The rest of us ordered cocktails and wine by the glass from the menu, and all was nicely prepared. For food, we enjoyed the duck empanadas, proscuitto and brie flatbread, and seared tuna. And don't skip dessert! The coconut creme brulee was probably our fave bite of the night."
"OMG! Ordered a build your own bowl, on DoorDash and it was bursting with flavor! I went with the greens and grains base opting for the cumin jasmine rice and spinach & kale mix. My toppings included cucumber & tomato salad, purple cabbage slaw, Sumac onion, chickpea and roasted red pepper salad, Tunisian hummus and Shawarma chicken as my protein. As a sauce girlie I had to have the tzatziki, Lebanese garlic sauce and the Harrissa yogurt. All the flavors meshed together perfectly! I now have a new fav Mediterranean spot and will be adding Yafo to my weekly lunch line up."
"We thad food to go, and it was very authentic. Everything from the tabouli to the Kibie, humus, grape leaves was excellent. Our group knows great Mediterranean (Syrian) food, and this is one of the best we've had except home cooking. The woman who helped us was freindly and happy to give us extra plates and forks.Next time I'm in townb, this where I'll be oreding my Syrian style food."
"We visited Palermo's for the first time last night. It wasn't bad! We enjoyed our meal. The interior is a little dark but it appeared clean. They had a 96.5 sanitation grade posted behind the register. I was worried because, like everywhere else, they seemed to understaffed. Our server also had to handle take outs, the phone, and bus her own tables in addition to waiting on the entire dining room. She was doing a great job of pulling it off. Our food came out correctly. Everything came out in a timely manner. We never ran out of drinks. She was nice and helpful. We ordered a 10 inch pizza to split. It was enough food for us both. The pizza was good. The crust was good. I also ordered a side salad. It was average but the Bleu Cheese dressing was wonderful! I was glad we stopped in for supper. I want to go back and try a pasta dish now!"
"Yafo never lets me down. The food is always delicious and fresh. This was my first time trying the Kibbeh Pita Tacos and it will not be my last. They were sooo good! The portion size filled me up before even touching my side of hummus. Also, be sure to have your hummus dressed up and garnished. You'll thank me later! The tacos will take a bit longer to prepare than the food that's already prepared. They are so good and worth the wait. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. If you have any questions or need suggestions, they're your go-to. Parking can be a bit tight but you also can park at the apartment complex next door inside and in their garage in designated retail parking spots. Also, the music inside can be a bit loud so just be prepared for that ahead of time."
"I've been in the area for over 10 years now and haven't ever eaten at the Purple Onion in Saluda. I finally went this past Monday, and it was wonderful!!! Normally, I'm not a big fan of pot pie, but they were doing Pot Pie Mondays and the special of this past Monday was a beef pot pie. It was just like beef stew with the potatoes, carrots, and onions. Divine!! The restaurant itself had a wonderful vibe to it. The staff were truly friendly and knowledgeable. The menu was very diverse so I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to find a meal. I highly recommend if you are ever in the area!"
"Ok going with a solid 4.8... but you get then5 bc everything was hot fresh and quick! I wish I would have seen the specialty fries bc my friend got them and that was a way better idea. Food was brought to the table and staff was nice and friendly. Glad we stopped by for food!"
"Big fan. Everything had so much flavor! Some stand out dishes include the saganaki appetizer, zucchini chips, capellini and lamb. They do lamb *very* well. As for everywhere in Charlotte, the prices are a little high. I wish the saganaki was a little larger of a portion for the money. 4 of us shared the appetizer and it was a small 1-2 bites each. The tzatziki sauce was incredibly fresh. I loved my capellini with the scallops. We had reservations and so glad we did because this place was totally packed on a Friday night. It was really crowded and noisy to be honest but it was fine for our small group outing."
"Skip the chipotle line and come to Wrapway! Absolutely amazing food, it's set up like a subway. You build a salad, burrito, or bowl. The meat is halal, and the ingredients are very fresh. What made my first time here unforgettable is the service. I was having trouble deciding what to get so the worker offered me a sample of all their options. I'm not sure if that just made things harder for me or not since every single thing was delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and they cook everything in front of you. I'll be back for lunch soon! Support this small business, you'll leave satisfied and full!"
"I have dined here a few times. The service and food are consistently 5 out of 5. Our server patiently answered our questions and was attentive throughout our time there. She also made sure to verify that all items for my son were gluten-free. The kitchen even went above and beyond by preparing the falafel to make it gluten-free. I should add that it was some of the best falafel I have ever had. It was very flavorful with just the right amount of spice. And it was not dry! All of the food was delicious. Our server made sure to let us know that the special Chicken dish would take 30 minutes to prepare. It was well worth the wait! I have never gone and it be crowded. Hopefully it stays one of the best kept secrets in the area!"
"I placed an online order for pickup while we were hanging out at Optimist Hall. It had a ready order time, and I went in at the ready order time.Unfortunately they had not even started my order - which I get if you are slammed, but there was only one other patron in their food hall. Luckily they grabbed my ticket and started my order right away - they did apologize for the wait.We got the spicy meat Mediterranean Pizza which has spicy feta, mozzarella & feta, steak shawarma, lamb kefta, roasted corn, pickled onions, tzatziki drizzle, olive oil. This was amazing, I'd definitely get this again.Side note - it was clear the staff member making my pizza had not done one before as she was asking for help along the way - glad she wanted it done right. Unfortunately she only cut it once - it's a long flatbread type pizza, so there were two massive ends with the way it was cut. It is supposed to be cut into smaller slices. I didn't notice this until I had gone to the patio seating, and had to go back in for utensils to cut it in order to eat it. So this is just a note to check to make sure it's cut properly before you leave or make sure to get utensils. Definitely recommend as one of the spots in Optimist Hall, just need to perfect service a little bit to get to 5 stars."
"A convenient location. It's right beside a Starbucks & Gas Station. If you're craving Falafel, lamb, and Mediterranean, this will definitely hit the spot. Very clean inside. Various tables to choose from if you decide to dine in. Full menu that consists of wraps, salads, platters, and many side dish items. We ordered a chicken pita with fries and a chicken Greek salad. Both are very tasty with lots of flavor. Ordered one falafel, was not really a fan. It was small and cold and felt like powder when I but into it. The employees were super friendly and efficient. Put our order in, and no less than 2 minutes, our order was ready. Definitely will be returning to try other things on their menu."
"I loved this place when it was in Harrisburg, but they moved to the University area a few years ago and updated their menu to be a little smaller. The menu looks s now 1 page front and back. Now they focus on Pizza and various sandwiches and salads with just a few pasta dishes and wings. Lots of variety. Something for everyone. Every time I come here I try something different. Everything I've had has been delicious. This time I got pizza with pepperoni, ground beef and mushrooms. They didn't skimp the toppings!! They had plenty of cheese on it! Each topping had a great flavor, even the ground beef...which can be flat at other pizza places. My mom got the deluxe calzone and she loved it. Again, they didn't skip on the toppings or the cheese!! We both have to-go boxes to enjoy it again later. Our server was a sweet college student. She sat us right away when we walked in, then gave us time to know what we wanted to order. She was the only server in the dining room today, and I saw her buzzing around making sure every table had what they needed and she made it look easy. Lol Our bill was very reasonable for the 2 things we ordered. I definitely recommend this place! Their menu has a little bit of everything and the flavors are not weak."
"There is no better Greek food in Charlotte than this!! Their food is excellent and service was great. I just wish we lived closer to this awesome restaurant!!!"
"Here we were eating at this delicious restaurant again! Let me tell you this - the food is delicious. The customer service is great! The price is a bit high for what we got but I don't blame this restaurant- that my friends is the economy we have in Washington DC right now driving our prices out of control. (End of politics rant )The price for both of us was about 22 bucks each and considering we ate delicious lamb, two huge bowls lentil soup , two different kinds of hummus and drinks - I have no complaints. It is delicious food ! If you don't try it - you've missed out."
"Delicious and different. Very flavorful. We shared beef plov and chicken plov (add the pomegranate and raisins-nice addition to the chicken plov!). We also had the beef and potato manti. We loved everything and will order again. Thank you to the other reviewer who talked about the difficult parking situation. We ordered via UberEats. We live over 20 min away and the food arrived warm."
"I've been twice so far and ordered the Harissa Avocado bowl both times. It's pretty spicy so the second time they offered me a garlic sauce which lowered the heat and made it more enjoyable. Chicken is juicy. Avocado is fresh. Crazy Feta is yum. Service was good. They're willing to customize however you want. The place was busy. It's not cheap at about $15 for a bowl, but fresh good ingredients and flavor. It feels like a more upscale mediterranean Chipotle."
"Great value for the money for the Beef and Lamb Shawarma plate. I got a side of yellow rice and hummus. The hummus came with pita. The first few bites of pita had a drawback taste but it went away. Not sure why it tasted old. I wasn't sure if it was the hummus so I tried it by itself. Anyhow, the rest of the meal tasted good. I was happy they have the iconic whipped garlic. I hope to try the Talapia in Garlic Sauce people are raving about at other locations. The entry and waiting area isn't too appealing but around the corner the dining area is clean and seat cushions compliment the Mediterranean culture. If you like Le Kebab, you'll enjoy this place. They even have Knafeh!"
"Great addition to Camp North End! I'm talking very good Mediterranean food. My boys and I were trying to find something to eat on Memorial Day and stumbled upon this restaurant. We were greeted so kindly upon entering. The servers were very helpful at explaining the menu and patient with us making our selection. The vibe of the place was very upbeat, and the music definitely set the tone. Everyone just seemed happy to be there. I settled on the lamb shawarma, and my boys went with falafel over rice, with a side salad and a vegan wrap. Two of our dishes came with fries. We each samples the others, and I must say, everything was delicious. The lamb was tender and juicy. It just melted in your mouth. This is on my list to try again the next time I visit."
"So delicious! Mediterranean food is my favorite, and Greco did not disappoint. Our family got two kids meals, the tzatziki dip appetizer, two traditional lamb gyros, both as combos but one with stuffed grape leaves and the other with hummus and pita. Everything was so yummy! I can't wait to return."
"Food is good per dollar, but when I roll up at 11 am when you open and the bathroom is trashed..... You aren't doing things right.A great quick gyro, friendly faces making it happen, but this vibe is inexcusable."
"I'm not sure what has taken me so long to write this review as we have been coming to Kid Cashew for a couple of years now, with our most recent visit, a couple weeks ago. What we love:*Baked Spinach and Feta Dip*Meatball Trio*Cast Iron Mac and Cheese*Lamb Burger*Rotisserie Chicken*Croque-Madame Sandwich - only offered at brunchWhat we dislike:*Service is and always has been chaotic with food. We always order a lot, and meals and shareable plates always comes sporadically. Since I usually go with my husband, it's not the biggest deal since we eat off of all the plates. However, to have one meal come, then eventually another, then eventually another, and so on, it's just feels chaotic with all of the constant interruptions. We ordered 7 items this last visit, and it was 7 interruptions within a 10-15 minute window. If they could fix this to serve everything together, or have most everything served together, I would be happy to give Kid Cashew 5 stars.*Prices on website are outdated and incorrect. For example, one item we ordered is $8.95 on the website, but the price at the restaurant is $11.95. I definitely recommend Kid Cashew as they have some excellent food options. Just know to go early, as it can get very busy quickly. As a plus, they are dog friendly on the patio!"
"Great quality eats at a reasonable price point! We ate out on the patio, which is quite large and nice in the evening, and service was fast and friendly. I absolutely loved the hummus shawarma with warm pita, and we also got the fried cauliflower app and mixed grill meat entrée. It was a lot of food, so we took home plenty of leftovers. Head here when your next hummus craving hits!"
