"Ridic expensive! $35 for a hookah!?! That's South Beach prices w/o the vibe. Also, tea is literally just a tea bag in a pot...plus $20 cover at the door per person!?!? The DJ was good, but literally nightclub vibe, so loud u cannot talk or hear each other, so def not the usual laid back relax atmo u would expect from a hookah lounge.Service was terrible. Had to ask for coals 3x and was told "they take awhile to light"...wtf?! And then still took almost 20mins before we got coals!?Ur a hookah lounge, howTF do u not have coals at the ready!?!The bathrooms were disgusting too.Definitely the only thing this place has going for it is it is open til 4am, but that is it."

I like the space, which seems large enough when you consider it spans multiple floors....but the bar isn't all that big and the smoking lounge could get full pretty quickly - as I'm sorry you'll have to wait to smoke your cigar. They could work on solving those issues but other seems a credit to any neighborhood."

"I came across an article about a new sports bar that opened ansaI asked my wife would she want to go check it out and she was down for it. We drove down and there were plenty of parking and took the elevator up and upon entering the vibe was electric and a large crowd was representing there. The DJ was rocking and all the servers was extremely nice and courteous to us. I really enjoyed the large wall with all the TVs so you want miss any events. While sitting down me and my wife ordered some food as i ordered the Buffalo chicken flatbread and ordered the cacalamari which both was delicious. This is a soft opening so not everything was available but i certainly understood that before going but there wasn't any problems and is a great place to hang out. I'll advise for everyone to check it out."

"Located in a great area, the Birkdale Mall. An open air mall with plenty of bars, restaurants and retail giants. You can drop off the missus and while she shops, you can spend the hour here with a fine cigar. Alternatively, you can pick up a smoke to enjoy outside after your dinner in the area. Burners stays open late, and that is much appreciate. Gives us folks enough time to get a cigar after dinner. Their selection is pretty good. You can find some good smokes here. Prices are higher, maybe $1-$2 more than other stores, but its location, friendly service and late hours make it worth it.Store has amenities such as the TV, couch, tables, wifi .. all making it a suitable temporary man cave."

"My family brought me here for my birthday. The atmosphere was festive it was a few days before Christmas. Before we were seated they decorated the table and left a birthday card I ordered the steak tartare which was excellent they make it table side my family were not fans of raw steak but tired it a they were amazed at how good it tasted. My entree was the seafood tower which more like a seafood loft but all of it was very good quality seafood. I would definitely eat here again if I win the lottery."

"DJs is a popular spot but not one I've been to before. We went primarily because they have a well defined gluten friendly menu and it's even marked on the menu which is a very nice feature. I got the pizza which was very good but the whole menu was both wide ranging and tasty looking. We also got a salad which was large and well prepared. As I mentioned, they have a decent selection of gluten free options and take the time to mark them so you don't worry (the fries are not for example, but you don't have to wonder). It can be busy, especially for evenings as it's a popular bar among local students."

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice, f**k off. This place could be badass but there is ZERO investment in staff and customer experience. My most recent and final visit was on an NFL Sunday. There were exactly two people working the floor with one person in the "kitchen". Two people working the bar and floor is absurd. Crowd of 50 people and two servers is abysmal. Be that as it may, we ordered food and drinks. Drinks came out expeditiously but our deli meat, microwaved wraps took 45 minutes. And they were cold! Well not cold, but barely room temperature. I've given this place three shots and have found no redeeming qualities. They are trying to charge $50 a person to play virtual back nine of Pebble Beach? Bruh. Hard pass."

"After hearing good things about Nefelie's and reviewing their menu I decided I had to give them a try on a Wednesday to try the Stuffed Chicken special. Walking inside the restaurant you will be initially confused. The restaurant is upstairs and there is a bar downstairs. You have to walk up the stairs and then an employee greets you. I ordered take out so I just hung around the front. There is a service charge for using your card. I wasn't that impressed with the food or the service. The side items were better than the entree. I got two orders of the stuffed chicken and a couple different side items. The fried okra, the creamed spinach and hummus were all good. The service was subpar and the person taking my order was actually kinda rude. I'm glad I gave them a try and can definitely check off another eatery downtown. I however will not be returning. "Stopped in the meet a friend and have a drink. Ended up ordering the oxtail dinner meal. Definitely some of the best oxtail I've had in Charlotte outside of my kitchen. Having a carribean background and coming from NY I know good oxtails when I taste them. Huge portion! Please atmosphere and great customer service. They also switched up the decor and are no longer cash only."

"Came here for a comedy show on a weeknight. While the comedy wasn't exactly on the level, the room and the vibe there is really cool. It is very cozy with wood and green plush accents. It also has somewhat of an eclectic decor that I really like.The bartender was super friendly and the drinks were great. They have some old favorites and twists on some of the classics. I would highly suggest this place as a pre or post dinner location to relax and wind down.Parking in this area is horrible (as you probably know) so be prepared for that."

"There are some good things here and some good potential, but definitely things that could be improved. Hence, the rating of A-ok. The tortilla chips were kind of stale, but the sauces were really good, especially the spicy chipotle. Our entrees were fine. Fajitas were cooked well, but nothing spectacular. Peppers, onions, chicken. The tortillas seemed to be homemade, which was nice. My husband's entree had plenty of shrimp stacked on fried tortilla rounds with cilantro and avocado slices. He said it was good, but maybe lacked seasoning, but acknowledged that he had no previous experience with that particular dish, so it could be just his thoughts The place is pretty small, but that was ok. I was not thrilled with the bathroom sink situation. After using the restroom, it felt awkward to wash my hands in the dining room near other patrons. After snapping and posting the photos, our server changed both TV's to the Maury show. So....the restaurant dining environment basically went down quite a few notches on the family friendly/classy dining scale. Hubby and I ate our meal while guests on the TV yelled and screamed about baby daddies and cheating. Although our meal and the service was decent, we will probably look for another place to dine when we travel through NC."

It's in a great location, hopefully soon the area will have a lot more for the nightlife in Bennettesville but this is a great start. A lot of their wine was sold out because of the weekend festivities and I don't think they were expecting or prepared for the amount of people that visited their establishment BUT imo that is a huge plus so I wasn't mad at that. Oh and they play music and of course there is a TV."

"To preface, I am not a regular at billiard bars nor do I know much about them. But I came for a date and had a nice time! I wasn't sure what the clientele or atmosphere was going to be like, but it's definitely dive bar vibes and not very many women at all. I was the only woman for the first couple hours and by the time I left I think there were two more. I was worried it would be more of a biker place but it was a pretty "normal" selection of men lol.Bartenders were friendly, but note that they don't serve food there.It was a little bit tight in some areas and I just had to make sure I wasn't going to hit somebody while I was playing and sometimes I had to move tables and chairs around too.Overall it wasn't super intimidating for someone who is not serious about playing pool, but it was a fun way to spend a Friday night!"

"Went here with another couple during restaurant week. A nice menu, $50 plus tax and gratuity.The waitress was attentive, the atmosphere comfortable . The food was tasty. We ordered and picked from the menu choices the swordfish, hangar steak and short rib. Appetizers we ordered were the lamb meatballs, cauliflower and roasted brussel sprouts, desserts were a banana filled wonton and ice cream over a type of brownie.Potion size good but my short rib on the bone was quite fatty .It was a nice meal but for the two of us cost $129 . There regular menu was not offered that night. Not sure I'd go back there again for restaurant week. Didn't order wine or drinks as our bill would have been much higher."

Absolute pity and oh so unfair!!!This JR Cigar is located about 30 mins away from Charlotte Airport in Moorseville and given a chance to make the nearby area my home in the USA, I would. The area has miles and miles of waterfront and is absolutely beautiful.Casa de Montecristo by JR Cigar is a home away from home for me. I went there on my way to High Point (1.5 hours away) and it was a great idea - I also stopped there on the way back to the airport. The lounge is absolutely stunning and the humidor is a dream. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, even to the only Asian guy that was there. I dropped more cash than expected and after I paid and Yelp-Checked-In, I got an alert for 10% off my purchase! Ugh...$30 lost! I guess I'll keep that for my next trip to NC.I sat at the bar for a couple of hours smoking my purchases away - both times. Had a couple of Maker's Mark 46 and sampled some local brews. Dave the Beer-Tender is a great gentleman and all the people I met were as well.In the humidor, the ladies at cash were hilarious. They were signing along with the music and all smoking their own cigars. Yes...in the humidor, which was a perfect temperature and humidity with their high tech vaporizers.I'd go back in a heartbeat. If the totalitarian crazies governing our country would allow tobacconist to have their lounges back, us Canadians would spend our hard earned leftover cash - after they take most of it in taxes - here...instead of the USA.BTW - a cigar that costs $25 here - including all the taxes - is only around $9 down there!Cheers!"

"There is no bar that brings me the happiness that Blue Door does. The intimacy in South End is rare in itself, but the cherry on top is the staff interaction. From the host to management, every single person on this staff is amazing and provides the family establishment feel within a high end establishment. The decor, layout and flow of the bar will teleport you from its busy Charlotte location. I haven't had a drink I didn't love, but they have a "no sweat it" return policy if you don't like something. That's pretty amazing. I highly recommend the Charleston or let the staff surprise you with a craving of your own. Biggest takeaway - ask for Cam. Whether it's a hello with some good banter, full blown service experience, or the pleasure of having a Cam-special made cocktail... you won't regret it."

"First of all let me start with how absolutely cute it is in here!! The ambiance is made for plant lovers. There's just something about live plants that just set the mood & I love the earthy vibe. The bar was a whole vibe too! This was the perfect afternoon dinner spot after having dinner on our anniversary. I was excited to find out they had an espresso martini on the menu bc that was exactly what I wanted. Turns out it was a great choice! It was the perfect amount of espresso and cream with a couple coffee beans as garnish to make it cute! We let them know at the door it was our anniversary and they gave us a table marker that said Happy Anniversary! Overall, a great experience and I'll definitely be back soon!"
