Make sure you bring cash because it is cash-only. They have an ATM but you'll be charged a processing fee. Definitely one of the last Charlotte classics in town and I will be devastated when they leave us."

Eric B. "I Love coming here on the weekends. My daughter and I always get a few hotdogs and salted pretzels. The pretzels are nice and soft and I feel like I can eat a ton of them. I like how you can see them twisting the pretzel dough up before cooking them up. The hotdogs and banging too. I like to go crazy on the toppings. It never takes long for the food to be ready and we usually dine inside. I'll def keep coming back."

Bill W. "When my Mother was alive and was a resident at an Assisted Living Center in Lincolnton, my Sister Martha would take her out for Lunch several times a month.BBQ King was one of her favorites. Her favorite menu item was Sliced BBQ with a Lexington Style Sauce. Personally I prefer Chopped BBQ with the Eastern NC Pepper Vinegar Style myself.Several of my friends love BBQ King as well and I think I went one time maybe 40 years ago. The have been around since 1971.All of the meat is smoked on site starting in the very early morning and everything is prepared on site. A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I drove over for Saturday Lunch. It's a through back to an earlier time for BBQ Houses but it's a nice touch. In honor of my Mother, I ordered the Sliced BBQ Plate with the Lexington Sauce and a side of Red Slaw and Onion Rings. My wife ordered the Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich with a side of French Fries. The BBQ was good but in the end, next time I'm going back to my Chopped BBQ with Pepper Vinegar Sauce. This is a taste I acquired when I was in College back in 1960's in Eastern NC.My wife loved her Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich and the Fries were good as well.Note that this is one of the places that does not accept plastic. Cash Only but they do have an ATM on premise. Fortunately I had cash on me where I did not have to bother with the ATM but just so you know, Cash only but they do take checks. Only other place I know that operates with this business model is Randy's BBQ in Troutman and Statesville. Will be back and give it another try later this year when it warms up and then I can sample the Chopped BBQ"

I ordered the slaw dog and the Mac and cheese dog and both were simply amazing. I also had an ode of baked fries that went well with the bbq sauce I splattered all over them. I didn't get any beer, but they have a beer wall... let that sink in! The also have an area where you can toss an axe. The gentleman showed my and my fiancé how to throw the axe and we had a ball. They also have multiple tv's with all kinds of sports being shown. This is a great spot to come and just hang out for a few hours. I will definitely be back!!!"

Ashley E. "What a gem of a place disguised as a hole in the wall off a small strip mall on W Sugar Creek Road! It's a small walk up window where you order. There is no place to sit and eat so think of it as a grab n' go. They are only open for lunch and dinner, and not late dinner so you have to plan appropriately to make it during their business hours -- 11am-7pm! They are also closed Sunday and Monday so keep that in mind!I came towards the end of the day on a Tuesday around 6pm (they close at 7pm) and I did have to wait for about 30 mins total. There was one person in front of me and we waited about 5 mins to order and then once we ordered it took about 25 mins. There were several people waiting in their cars that had already ordered, which to me a wait is a good sign... people don't wait around for bad food! I have heard they have quite the line of people typically lining the sidewalk on a regular basis so I know I'm lucky it was only a 30 min wait as it sounds like it can be much longer! So what I'm saying is... be prepared to wait, but don't fret -- it's definitely worth it!I know what you're thinking... can we just skip to the good part already -- THE FOOD!!! Ok here we go, I ordered the DBG Burger with fries and a drink. I customize my burger do you have cheddar cheese, pickles and onions and for my drink option I went with the pineapple lemonade (and yes that pineapple lemonade was as good as it sounds!) -- The burger was good! Loved how the onions were diced, but the flavor wasn't too strong. I asked for extra pickles and got them! Cheese was fully melted. Not to mention the bun had a little salt on it spicing up the flavor. All in all it was a good burger. I'm not big on fries, but DANG! I couldn't get enough of the seasoning on them! Finally, the Pineapple Lemonade was so delicious, it is NOT to be skipped! The staff was so pleasant and super nice! So that was just icing on the cake and honestly made up for having to wait a bit :)Next time I can't wait to try the nachos or Philly fries and maybe the hot dog or grilled cheese... but only time will tell! All in all... I am sold and will be adding this into my restaurant rotation!"

Bruce K. "Queen City Wings is by no means a fancy place. They have wings (and fries) and they have a couple of tables. That's it. What more do you need?My daughter wanted wings and so we headed here. It's a simple storefront. The gent behind the counter took our order and we paid (Square) then took a seat. Our wings were cooked right then and there, sauced as requested and handed over. It didn't take but five minutes. One dozen buffalo and one dozen lemon pepper. Meaty, hot, the buffalo was hot and the lemon pepper was both lemony and peppery. We still had a few left over and the gent was happy to hand over a small box and another sauce for us to take to go.The sauces are packets - Ken's Blue Cheese Dressing and the like - but at least then you know what you're getting. As opposed to a what pours out of a giant jar at other wing places.Bathroom was bathroom. I just needed to wash my hands and not smear buffalo sauce on the steering wheel.[Review 10231 overall, 1819 of 2018.]"

This is a walk in and takeout location. So you sit in your car and you wait for them to bring the food out. We should've called ahead, but we weren't aware of that being option. my husband had the Philly cheesesteak. Oh, I had the best Ruben of my life and the small people ate a hotdog and something else. Everyone was ecstatic about how amazing the fries were and you get a lot of fries. I loved my sandwich. Did I mention it was the best Ruben of my life.Strange little location, great service, go there you'll be happy."

Karl K. "Perhaps a more appropriate name for this place would be Oscar's Fine Folks, Good Food, and Rummage Sale.I say this because the people who work here are genuinely nice and honest. I know they are honest because I was accidentally overcharged for my meal and the order taker brought the overage to me while I was eating. Wow. Sadly, that kind of honesty is rare these days.As for the food, it is just good.:Cheeseburger: somewhat bland and just nothing to get excited about. Hot dog: also averaged out to be good with an average tasting wiener, very good slaw, chili that was fairly bland and very dry, and a bun that was nicely toasted outside but a little soggy inside. French fries: excellent.Sweet tea: pretty average; it needs to be strongerAs for the rummage sale, the fine folks at Oscar's also have for sale a handful of a hodgepodge of items from used clothing to antiques. Very odd.Oscar's is located in a part of High Point that is overall pretty industrial and run down but has a smattering of new/renovated buildings. It becomes pretty busy with local traffic, mainly people who work nearby, during the lunch hour.I am totally with Erik S on this one. I was really excited to try it, and the people and atmosphere are neat. But when you get down to what it is really all about, the food, Oscar's falls a little short."

Dan M. "I went to Goodwill to do some bargain book hunting. Love that! Some of the worst books I have ever read came from Goodwill, but so have some of the best, especially Witch Child and Sorceress (sequel to Witch Child). On this day, not only did I find good books (I think), but I got some excellent frozen custard across the street. I'm not sure if I had ever had frozen custard, but this was really good! Only one problem...I paid cash and received three coins as change: a quarter, a nickel, and a penny. No big deal except I was wearing my swoosh pants (for the gym) that have a hole in the interior lining in the right pocket. So, the coins jingled as I walked to my car. You can't remove coins from inside the interior lining unless you take your pants off. Solution: Eat the frozen custard, go to the gym, and take my pants off in the bathroom at the gym. No sweat! (No pun intended) When I arrived at the gym (still jingling), I exited my car, locked the door, and put my keys in my pocket. Yeah ... that pocket. Now I couldn't get into the gym or my car. I only had one option....I went to the few trees between the gym and the office building and took care of it there, but it's kind of strange to sit in the middle of a small batch of trees midday pantless while hunting for coins and keys inside the interior lining of those pants. Nobody saw me, which made it a little less awkward. However, I would recommended using caution when visiting Goodwill to hunt for books while wearing swoosh pants. You never know where it might lead. As far as the frozen custard goes, definitely recommend."

Jessica L. "I'm from California and saw this place on yelp and decided to stop and try this place out. I was not disappointed. First off the hospitality was top notch. They were so friendly and right away answered any questions I had and recommended items for me to try. Unfortunately I'm not a huge onion or slaw lover, so I declined although I did get advice to try the sausage and I'm so glad I did. I had a sausage dog with mustard and shredded cheese. The bun was toasted and the sausage had a little snap which made it perfect. Mustard was not overpowering and the cheese was just enough. For a side I chose the tater tots. I mean come on why wouldn't I. I also had the fried pickles which came with ranch dressing. Now I don't know what voodoo magic they are frying with but nothing was greasy and they had a lite batter to it so it did not overwhelm. Inside they have tables and a restroom so you can eat inside. All in all I would be back so if you're in the area, stop by and give it a try."

I got there right before they stopped serving the chicken sandwich, which is now only served at the food truck at slow play. The chicken sandwich is the main hit here. So tender, flavorful and juicy. Mac n cheese is a huge hit, super creamy and seasoned. Came back and had the wings with loaded tater tots and both are good hits as well. These guys just know flavor and seasoning. Food is very on point and people that work there are very pleasant and nice. They also have rap snacks and 99c Arizona tea! Must try!"

I have eaten at a Five Guys before so I knew what to expect and what to order. I ordered a little cheeseburger all the way- as did my date. We split a regular order of fries. The little cheeseburger is NOT little. It was big enough for me. The fries here are really good. They are fresh cut potatoes. They keep their potatoes in the dining area still in their original bags. Another table ordered a milkshake that looked really good. My food was delicious. The place was clean. The employees were nice. This place met or exceeded my expectations."

Their regular cheeseburger is $1.95, and the hot dog is $.95. A sausage biscuit is $1,20, small order of fries $.80.The burgers are nice, and you can get bigger sizes, doubles, etc just like most places. The hot dog here is not a favorite, I simply do not like the chili - thin, on the sweet side - I much prefer the dog at Scoops up the street, on the other side of Wicker. Not a bad place for a quick, inexpensive burger or sandwich."
