"The staff greets you with big smiles and tangier readiness to make your sundae is exceptional. I've visited this location twice, now. Once in the evening and once during the early opening hours on a Sunday. One visit required constant watch of my friends little boy, but the staff didn't mind him wandering about. Luckily, he was distracted from being too mischievous with a mouthful of ice cream, from time to time. We wrangled him up when other customers arrived, and thankfully, the shop isn't too big and doesn't have much other than a bathroom for him to get into. The ice cream is always delicious and the young ladies did an excellent job concocting our creations. I enjoyed both visits and am glad to have ice cream even closer to home."

"Stumbled upon this gem and decided to order cakes for my little one and my husband as their birthdays are 2 days apart. Walking up to the store it has a super cute store front! I was greeted immediately upon walking in by two friendly faces. They answered all my many questions without judgement. They were so sweet and even gave my little one a chocolate covered strawberry. "I wanted to really enjoy her cakes but they were very dry. I ordered the red velvet and honeybun cake. This is just my opinion and preference on what I prefer in a cake The red velvet tasted like a very light chocolate cake with a very sweet icing with nuts. Its was an old cake and tasted as if it had been sitting a while. In my opinion it tasted nothing like a red velvet cake and that could have just been her preference but I didnt enjoy it. It had a refrigerator taste even after I let sit 2 hours.The honeybun cake was dry also. I believe it was a pound cake with a very tasty icing and a caramel sauce. The cake had a great flavor beside the dryness. Again this may be her recipe preference but I prefer moist pound cakes.I could have just came on the wrong day."

"Earlier this year I changed my diet after finding out I was intolerant to dairy, soy and gluten and it made a huge difference in quality of life. But that doesn't change my inexplicable love of cake. Cue the need for a custom cake for work and so I went to Yelp first looking for vegan gluten free cake and didn't have much luck. So I went to the Googly machine and found Sweet Boutique! Debbie saved my life. She bakes beautiful cakes and cupcakes (regular, wedding cakes and my hippy dippy specialty cakes) out of her nice home in South Charlotte so don't just show up on her porch for an after dinner slice. :) She does beautiful or custom art - I sent her my logo and she cut it out of surprisingly delicious edible fondant but she does sugar art too.We got a double chocolate vegan gluten free cake because my coworker also doesn't usually get to enjoy sweet treats. It was so dark it was almost black but the taste was incredible. It reminded me of brownie batter and my husband absolutely refused to believe it was either vegan or gluten free because the cake was so mouthwatering good without having the grittiness some GF cakes have. I don't know what she uses but it's magic. I will be ordering a GF Caramel cake for my birthday and likely will come back for any baby showers. I bet her regular ones and wedding cakes are phenomenal!"

"Ella and Curtis really are a dream team when it comes to cakes for any occasion. If you are interested in a beautiful and delicious cake, I suggested doing what I did and perusing Celestial Cake's Instagram page (@thecelestialcakery). It was impossible for us to choose a favorite cake on their Instagram page. We used the Celestial Cakery for my nieces 6th birthday cake. The flavor suggestions and design ideas sounded excellent for my niece who is currently obsessed with Disney's princess "Moana". The celebration was set for Friday around noon, and as promised, Curtis delivered the cake in a personal cake cooler on Thursday evening. Of course, once the cake was settled on our kitchen counter, I had to have a look at the cake. It was stunning! Not only was it a gorgeous cake, it smelled delicious. I kept catching hints of the salted caramel flavor from our living room. The next day at the party, the cake tasted just as amazing as it looked and smelled. Tanner is the owner and she currently hosts pop up shops around town so follow @dripcakebar on Instagram to stay up to date with her travels. Plus, on the weekend she will bring cupcakes to breweries and infuse them with alcohol!! Game changer!The cakes I've ordered have been medium size and server 10-12 people ($45). Drip cake does custom designs and cake flavors too. Both orders of mine have been custom. The first cake was for our anniversary. My husband ordered it and got almond cake with raspberry jam and chocolate ganache on the inside with a champagne butter icing and while chocolate Drip. It was delicious and the cake was designed beautifully. The second cake I ordered was for my husband's birthday. "This here is a review of the bakery itself, not the truck. Actually I'm not even sure if the truck is still a thing, but it would be cool to see it somewhere if so.Coming in is confusing at first. They're actually a part of the strip mall - at the very end. It's a cute set up. Very colorful and inviting. Parking is a pain. I recommend backing in. Inside they have a tall display case with about 8 different flavor concoctions. Seems like they change up most of these every day. They probably also have a daily limit where they shut down once sold out. They sell "day old" cupcakes on another shelf. I came in on Valentine's Day and they were going nonstop.I ordered a box of four which comes to $10. If the guy running the register didn't suggest it, I wouldn't have even known. (Even though there's a sign or it.) You can also buy just one for $3. So getting four is quite a deal. If I heard correctly, when you bring your box back in they'll give you a cupcake in exchange for it. I think that's awesome that they see the value in not wasting. Also, what a way to get people to come back in?I got a blueberry french toast cupcake with bacon on top. It was amazing. The bacon was just enough salt to pair up nicely with the sweet frosting. The filling of a sort of baked blueberry reduction was unexpected and scrumptious. I also got a banana pudding, red velvet and "death by chocolate" for my girlfriend. They were actually out of those but were making more in the back at that exact moment. They hooked me up. They put the cupcakes in plastic cups turned upside down. It's ingenious really. Clearly I'll be back!"

They need to pick a single name and stick with it.The second inconsistentcy is that you don't have any idea what's available from day to day and if it's moist or dry. You might think that I'm only talking about the cake being dry, but oddly I've also experienced frostings that are dry as well. So it's really hit or miss when you visit.. I've sampled almost everything they have and I think that I'll stick with what's been proven to be good.The carrot cake and the Hershey chocolate cake were excellent. What I always leave with, are the very tall cake slices. These are so very, very good. I like the rotating flavors, every trip I'm not sure what is going to be available. I have yet to be disappointed with any cake I've taken home with me. I love how their brownies have chocolate chips inside of them, and they are on the firm yet moist side. Unlike other brownies with the consistency of a brick, which makes them not my favorite treat. But not here. I'll be back again and again, unfortunately! ;)"

We couldn't decide so we got several things. My niece decided on the Pick me up shake but we definitely replaced the coffee powder with marshmallows. Because I was in this area I was wanting to try this! I entered with no idea about what I wanted. A man working help me and answered a few questions and also spoke to me about their special order business. He was very helpful. I ended up with an almond truffle which was just amazing. Compare it to a very large cake pop. It had awesome almond flavor. I'm pretty upset of cookie dough, and they had a cupcake that was a cookie dough cupcake. The frosting looked like cookie dough, and let me tell you that's what it tasted like! I want to get another right now! It was the perfect combination of cookie dough and a cupcake!
