We were back in town visiting family, and you know I had to come thru! Signage is bigger this time,it's nice to see progress with this gem. Now, let's get down to the food deets.Crab Fries-Still as delicious as the first time, we added 6 grilled shrimp that were perfectly cooked and tore up shop.12 PC Wings-Honey Old Bay sauce and a perfectly hard fried wing that was juicy in the center. This sauce officially needs to be bottled and sold!Catfish-Fried and Grilled both delicious, especially when dipped in their special sauce. I could have used some fresh lemons for the grilled, but it was still flaky, flavorful, and fresh.SidesSeafood Mac-This is probably the only thing I wouldn't order again. It's not the flavor profile.. that is spot on, it just needs more seafood to be called a Seafood Mac and Cheese.Collard Greens-Slap your mamma worthy, Thanksgiving table worthy!!Yams-Texture was on point, sweetness was just right and I'm not mad that it touched my Mac and cheese on my plate. That bite was another level!Now, for the first time we got dessert, the sweet girl at the register suggested it when I asked if we missed anything, lol.Sweet potato cheesecake-Hot Danggggggg. I can't believe how freaking amazing this was! Delicious perfectly made sweet potato pie filling baked on top of a creamy cheesecake that was so creamy with the right amount of tart meets sweet. Yallll this dessert is what southern dreams are made of.Carrot cake-I am a huge carrot cake fan in general so this was a no-brainer for me. I was not READYYY!! Moist cake that was perfectly spiced, but what I loved the most is that you got bites of raisins and carrots that were so small yet made a huge impact in your mouth. Topped with buttercream frosting, definitely top 3 best I have had.Lulu's, you have my heart and loyalty when we are in town. All that goodness ran us $103.00 this go round, which is a fraction of what it's worth!!! See you next time!"

"I ordered via uber eats, it initially said pickup was 20-30 minutes but after placing the order it changed to 60-70 minutes. I get it, they're busy, but knowing that up front is important. Overall, the food is good. Wings- I got the lemon pepper: definitely lacking flavor. Shrimp- amazing!Fish- kinda rough but it was good. Lobster mac and cheese- ok, it has to be a mix of a little lobster and a lot of imitation crab. Regardless, thoroughly enjoyed. The mac and cheese itself is divine, the seafood or imitation just adds to the yum!Strawberry banana pudding- idk, personally I'd prefer just regular banana pudding as the strawberries were minimal (2 small pieces) and then the strawberry syrup on top didn't add anything to the dessert. In conclusion- I will be going again! Staff is friendly and they definitely are trying to get the orders out but when I was there 8 of us were waiting, needless to say this business is blessed and I can see why!"

"Uptown Yolk is easily one of the best brunch spots in Charlotte! The food is absolutely delicious,, with rich flavors and perfectly cooked dishes that make every bite worth it. Whether you go for the classics or something a little more creative, you won't be disappointed. I typically go for the Double Up and add a pancake or the super delicious sweet potato waffle! The service is friendly and efficient, even when the place is packed. Yes, there's often a wait, but it's well worth it! If you're in a hurry, the bar is first come, first served, which is a great option if you don't want to wait for a table. There is also the option of takeout.Highly recommend Uptown Yolk for a top-tier brunch experience in Charlotte!"

"This was the first time eating here with my husband. We walked in and were sat at a table that had not been wiped down from the previous customers. It was clearly dirty. We were given menus and when our server came to take our drink orders, we asked that the table be wiped down. We had to ask again for it to be wiped down about 15 minutes later when our drinks arrived. So we were not impressed with service at all.The side dishes all sounded delicious so I went with the platter of sides that came with 2 hush puppies and pickled onion. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with house made salt and vinegar chips.Our favorites were definitely the pork, the chips , hush puppies and green beans. 5 stars for all of those!I think the black eyed peas were good but they are a cold salad and it made me realize that I prefer my BEP warm. The Mac and cheese was ok and the Asian slaw was disappointing in its lack of flavor from the dressing. The sides were all extremely fresh and everything was made with high quality ingredients. They did NOT cheap out on the sides and I love them for this. I'm a big veggie girl and appreciate that there were many healthy options and that they had vegetarian and vegan options. There is really something here for everyone. We are looking forward to our next visit."

"Luisa's might be my favorite pizza in Charlotte. The marinara and the cheese are just so good. I recently got a build your own pizza with just extra cheese and it was 10/10. I ordered delivery today to my job for a coworker's going away party. Luisa's does not deliver, but they use a third party app called Slice. I ordered 2 days ahead for a certain delivery time and our pizza was delivered right on time. My only complaint is that it wasn't hot. It was lukewarm at best which is odd because we are only about 6-8 minutes drive from Luisa's. I don't think it was Luisa's fault which is why I'm still giving 5 stars. Other than that, delicious!"

I only gave it a four because the place needs some serious renovations. The handle to the door to get in is broken, there are cracks in the table, and just a lot of makeshift stuff going on. This might turn some people away--it kept me away for a long time--but I recommend getting the pizza anyway. The other potential problem... The pizza takes a really long time. This is actually good because you're getting high quality, but if you're on a tight schedule, it's not a great idea. As far as the staff, they're friendly. Owner disappeared for a long time to talk to a salesman one time but he seems friendly enough. And other staff on my second visit were really cool. Overall, recommended. Just know what to expect when you walk in, and don't make the mistake of thinking the condition of the establishment will relate to the quality of the pizza. For instance, my car is a mess right now, but I'm a high-quality person. ;)"

Everyone who came in (other than us) called the counter guy by his first name, and he knew most of their's, that kind of neighborhood restaurant. Most people did take out, but we sat at one if the tables. One other gentlemen's ate there as well. Not fancy, and tables could have used a wipe down. My wife and I each had Greek food, a chicken gyro for me and a Greek salad for her, both were OK. While the counter guy was gabbing with several customers, not about ordering food, the other gentleman's food order appeared from the kitchen, the cook rang the bell, and the food sat and waited for at least five minutes. The cook rang the bell a second time, but the counter guy never looked back untilhe rang up another order from a take out customer. My recommendation: do what most people seem to do and call ahead or order takeout, and do not eat there."

We did go medium well 'cause a lot of reviews mention the burger being pink, but it was still super juicy and perfect. We also had the pretzel for an appetizer and again - totally blown away. So crisp and good. It came with queso, but we didn't even need it the pretzel was so delicious. I had the fish and chips which were great as well, crunchy and delicious. Just all so good.It IS a sports bar, but the tvs aren't loud or obtrusive. We could hear each other well. All in all a great experience! We will definitely be back 'cause I'm gonna crave that pretzel and he's going to want that burger!"

The fries and wings were excellent with a touch of BC dressing. The service was excellent. She checked on us about 5 minutes after serving us and didn't hesitate to provide an additional bc dressing when requested. Voodoos has some tough competition in FM. "I'm not sure why Sixty-Six isn't showing up when I search "Pizza" in Thomasville, because it's one of my favorite pizzas in the area. I typically go for the wings, of the excellent salad bar or even a ribeye steak as I am doing my best to eat low-carb, but when I'm in the mood for carbs their pizza fits the bill. If you get one with lots of vegies on it you'll want to ask them to cook it well done, otherwise it'll be soggy in the middle, but their meat toppings are killer."
