"If you are a fried chicken person, this broasted stuff is the best. I have found places all over the country that make broasted chicken most is good, some I won't talk about, but Danny's is the best. I used to go there every day at lunch for the Wing Ding. 4 wings, cole slaw, potato wedges and a roll for about $5. I went back today after about 6 years and it is still $5. Can't beat that. My wife loves this chicken too. Danny's used to be owned by none other than Danny who sold it to an Eastern Indian family. Depending on what time of year it is, sometimes you will see the owner's family helping out. Yes, they come from India. I even met his mother one time.I love the chicken, never had the pizza and the beer and soft drinks are always cold. I haven't eaten there for a while since I retired and closed my business, but I came back today and it is still the same. Worn out floor, cold drinks and the best damn chicken in the USA."

"Stopped in around 5 Sunday afternoon. Seated quickly. Said we needed a high chair. The host didn't bother to get us one or silverware. Literally tossed the menus on the table and walked away. He did tell me the long list of items they were out of for dinner. Pork chops, popcorn shrimp, chicken pot pie (which is Sunday special), rolls, broccoli and more were not available. Our waitress was very sweet but likely new at her job. Our orders were taken and delivered pretty quickly. I had jumbo shrimp with hush puppies and rice. The shrimp was excellent. My husband got blackened salmon that was very tasty. The fried squash was interesting. Not sure I would order it frequently. Order a kid's meal for our one year old. Stupid on our part. $9+ for a grilled cheese, no side and they don't have milk. Totally not worth the price. The decorations on the walls could use some cleaning. Literally something was dripping off one of the signs. The whole place felt a bit dirty to me. We'd likely go back but might call ahead to see what they are out of."

"After reading rave reviews on Asheville Foodies on FB I went here for the first time. The staff was very personable. The food though...fantastic. As this was my first visit I ordered the Chicken Cow Pig sampler tray. While I waited the manager offered me a tasting of Turkey Burnt ends and fried bologna. Turkey burnt ends, only avail on Thursdays, were superbly tender and just fell apart. They were juicy and tender and deliciously flavored. I don't like Turkey. These you could feed me and I would never know it was Turkey. My tray came with pulled chicken that was very moist, tender and delicious. The pig was also pulled, all fat removed, amazingly juicy and delicious. The cow was beef sausage that had a perfectly crisp skin and soft mouthwatering inside. I got Mac n cheese and slaw as my sides. Mac n cheese was delightful. Slaw had a small hint of vinegar but not overpoweringly so. Cabbage chopped finely and very fresh. The diner is a small cozy place but perfectly appointed for a bbq place. I would easily recommend this anyone looking to grab a bite. It's not fancy dinning and all orders come in a to-go container with a soda. Please do yourself a favor and give them a try. I dont think you will be disappointed. And it didn't cost a fortune either. Go out and help our local economy and treat yourself. BTW my small sampler could easily feed 2 or 3."

"Finally made it here. As a lover of Peruvian food I wanted to try this not so chain Peruvian restaurant out. Located where the former Moes was in the Pineville Matthews shopping center with Bonefish and Panera. The place looked pretty clean although after ordering my food I noticed the sanitation grade was a 91...yikes. Anyways I went ahead and ate there. So let me start by saying the menu is large, so many different items to chose from and not only Peruvian food. I saw some Colombian and Venezuelan items. With that being said I was very shocked at the lack of standard side items. Literally rice and white rice at that, pinto beans and like one other things. All other sides are considered premium sides and those premium sides would be basic sides at like hello chicken or viva chicken. I got the 1/4 chicken, white meat with reg side of white rice and premium side of plantains. For the dipping sauce I was limited to the yellow mild sauce or the spicy hot sauce. They were all out of the green mild sauce. Just for context I arrived at 11:40, they open at 11. Not sure how they ran out so fast but I would have loved to try it because the yellow sauce was just ok and the red was cold and just spicy no real flavor. Thankfully the chicken was flavorful and juicy, the white rice was white rice and the plantains were cooked beautifully. Also the cashier was great and provided excellent service. All in all, I would visit again but no rush to go back again. Viva Chicken still takes the lead for now for me. I would love them to mature their side menu, increase their sanitation grade and have the green sauce available."

"Bossy Beulah's newest location!I've been to their original and this one was just as good and just as cute. Everyone was so friendly and the food came out in reasonable timing. It is exclusively chicken but they have a couple different options. Their slaw is delicious and so are their fries. One order of fries is enough for multiple people- beware!!! It is a bit pricy for fast food, but it is really good. They also have a bar area with beers and TV's. We stayed for a WHILE just talking and never felt pressured to leave. Parking can be questionable but they do have several spots right in front of the restaurant reserved just for them."

The batter was perfect and it was deep fried to perfection. The rice was soft and moist.They had a 97% health rating and the place looks clean. They are obviously known for their take-out. We were the only ones eating there however there were numerous people coming in and out so you know their food is always fresh because they're constantly cooking. Which was a nice surprise seeing that we were there on a Sunday around 8 o'clock. Usually don't get much service on that day and time.It looks like they have a buffet that they probably run during the week at lunchtime. It was not open so I did not try that. Maybe on a future trip. I left there happy and full."

"We always get our fried chicken fix at Smithfields.Since there is not one near our house, any time we travel and there is one near us, we always stop in.Friendly counter service. Chatted with the guy at the register to find out he was from Charlotte NC and was headed back this fall to go to school. Also found out both he and I both fish at Lake Norman.Wife and I get the same thing each time. Her 2 pc dark with baked beans and I the 2 pc white with brunswick stew.We both love the fried chicken here. Crispy, flavorful non greasy skin with moist tender chicken inside. The eastern NC vinegar dip on the table compliments both the chicken and the stew.The sweet tea was spot on, being just sweet enough with out being so sweet as to put you in a diabetic coma.We tried the banana pudding for dessert and this is the only time Smithfields has ever failed us. This was not even close to true southern banana pudding. Just banana flavored pudding with no bananas and very, very mushy vanilla wafers. Won't ever order that again.But as far as the fried chicken goes, like I said we always stop to eat anytime we see a Smithfields in our travels."

"This morning, my husband was singing the Johnny Cash song, Sunday Morning Coming Down. There's a line that talks about "the Sunday smell of someone fryin chicken". So naturally, I needed fried chicken, but I didn't want to do "the fryin". Through a search, he found Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q. The prices are so reasonable for the massive amount of food you get. The HUGE chicken tenders are juicy, they have great flavor and the breading is like Granny's without killing the roof of your mouth. The baked beans actually have a little pulled pork in them and the sauce was fantastic. The hush puppies were golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender and light on the inside. The white coleslaw was the perfect balance of vinegar and sweet, a little mayo, it had no onions or carrots (Yay!) and was fresh and crunchy. The BBQ was pulled and really flavorful, even without extra sauce. They allow you to choose your sides. We had enough leftover for my full dinner tonight and enough to share with our friend. He also loved it and plans to take his son this week. We also got banana pudding to go YUMMY. -You order at the counter but then they bring your food to the table and actually hand it out. They checked on us twice and will refill your drink. They even brought us To Go boxes and wrapped plasticware. -They have a Health score of 98 and they are earning that. The restaurant and bathrooms are VERY clean. -The women's bathroom has a light switch that says TURN ON IF BATHROOM NEEDS SERVICE. That is an ingenious and convenient way for them to monitor. -You know how the people running the cash registers, will stand with their back to the customer, while they stare through to the kitchen? That's pretty common to fast food places. This restaurant has a sign posted for the workers that says TURN AROUND. I love that!-Every person inside was friendly, helpful and efficient. We will definitely go back!"
