"Cheap family fun! Love it here the mini golf course definitely needs some work but that's okay because it is cheap!"
"We tried this place on a busy Friday night. There didn't seem to be enough employees to handle the crowd, and the ones that were there were inept and rude - right down to the girl behind the snack counter who ignored me and then waved my husband off when she was too busy to make popcorn. There were not enough bowling balls to go around and people were going around taking them from games in progress. The employees were screaming at people over the PA to keep their drinks on the back wall rather than going up to the few that were violating the rule. There didn't seem to be any control over the place at all. If the management is interested in attracting a better crowd, I would suggest that the quality of service live up to the prices they charge."
"My company hosts a work party here every year and I've always had a blast! As an adult, playing all the nostalgic games is so fun. I like the gigantic Pac Man and Galaga. The bumper cars are small but surprisingly joyous! Classics remind me of my childhood days at Chuck-E-Cheese. The outdoor ropes course is really fun, I loved flying through the air! There's a mini golf course, bowling, and laser tag too. The movie theatre has always been good sound and good video. The staff let's us set up early and is super helpful with food and prep. I'd recommend using them for an event if you want something fun."
"I am not a bowling fan and I am not good at it. Bowling Alleys will never be my happy place.Having said that, as far as bowling alleys go.... This one is alright. Strong sense of community here. Decent snack bar, with large selection, reasonable prices and outstanding iced tea. Terrible Nachos, just Salty Cheese and Saltier Corn Chips. Great cold Angry Orchard. Bonus points for offering over the counter painkillers right on the menu! The staff is great too. The efforts to keep patrons safe post pandemic were easy to see. I appreciated that they had a bottle of hand sanitizer at each table, and a handless door pull in the restroom. What I didn't like was the poor ventilation and the lack of cleanliness in the ladies restroom. The old stretched out disgusting, bowling shoes looked like the literal personification of COVID 19. To balance the scales of these issues they need to serve hard liquor. One hour before closing they threatened to turn the lights down and play romantic music! What the moonlight bowling was this unholy amalgam!!! Thank goodness I was good and gone before this happened. I laughed so freaking hard, I almost stayed JUST to witness it. While there are so many things to like about this family friendly place, it should come as no surprise that I don't plan on going here nor any bowling alley again. Four well earned stars."
"We hosted our son's high school graduation party at Spare Time and we were really impressed. From the staff, food, bar service and cleanliness of the establishment. We booked a private lane in advance over the phone and the process was super easy. The package we ordered included bowling shoes and 2 hours of bowling for 6 people. When we arrived our lane was ready with had a congrats acknowledgment to my son on the monitor. Once all the guests arrived the teens started to bowl. The set up and monitors were nice and easy to use. There were two restaurants and a bar to order food and drinks from. The adults ordered from the bar and I ordered pizza and soft drinks for the teens. The staff at the pizzeria suggested three pizzas would be more than enough for 6 teens. So we ordered a cheese, pepperoni, and meat lovers and beverages. The staff brought it order to our lane once it was ready. The manager came over to check on our experience and gave our son a free hour at the arcade as a gift. Which was so kind and thoughtful.Overall our experience was Exceptionally well. I'll definitely host another party or celebration here in the future.Tips: Free parking and book VIP lounge for adult party!"
"While driving to Florida, we found this little community Arysley and we generally stay at a hotel in the community because of the variety of restaurants are in the area. This is the 2nd time we have eaten here. Both times they had parties going on so this is a great venue for parties as well. This time they sat us at the bar next to the bowling alley. It was quite loud as people were bowling. We did get used to it. They are had darts, pool tables and also outside games if you chose to eat outside. This would be a good place for kids. It would keep them occupied while the parents enjoyed some drinks,Food was really good both times we were there. There is a great variety of food to eat as well. Our server was really good and personable. Next trip to FL we will be back."
"I do enjoy spending Saturday evenings here with my family. Great family atmosphere and gets my kids out of the house. They have some pretty good hot wings too. Prices aren't bad, the only thing that I don't like is that their bowling shoes are a bit old. It seems like I always get the same old pair and they make my feet itch."
"They made an adult area with a bar and lounge and a he bathrooms are really clean. They definitely have made an effort to make this a family place but with an adult side. Hopefully they'll start Karoke soon"
"Connected to a furniture store, this bowling alley has all you need. Finger foods, cheap brews, socks for purchase in case your didn't bring any, and a nice clean environment that plays classic rock in the background. Five stars"
"I haven't played mini golf in a while so obviously I was needing some practice. Pleasantly surprised by this very random indoor putt putt atop a strip mall in Charlotte. Black lights, cool monster theme, full 18 hole experience. It was really empty on the Monday we visited so we had the whole place to ourselves to play at our own pace. I imagine this would be a great place for a young kid's bday party but also a fun place to spend a little time on a rainy day as an adult. The games outside aren't cheap so if you're planning to bring a bunch of kids be warned - you'll be spending a bit. Just mini golfing with a couple of people is fun though. Easy parking and there's plenty of food places nearby if you want to eat too."
"Awesome owners, amazing food!! The taco alone was enough to feed everyone. Also had their wings which were crispy and generously sauced. Can't wait to try all the other great looking food on their menu!"
"The "Traveling Team", as we call ourselves because we've logged many miles over the years as neighbors and friends, decided to get a voucher for an hour of bowling at this relatively new venue. They don't make reservations but I was told they'd prepare a lane for us if we'd call and let them know we were on the way. We did and they did. We had to rent the shoes at $4 per pair. There are only 6 lanes so this is NOT a mega structure. There are computerized scoring devices, so that makes it very nice for those of us who have NO idea how to score. The venue has beer, wine, and cocktails as well as a menu of "snack" type foods: nachos, sandwiches, and more. We had already decided to dine elsewhere. B. U. T. we had such a great time tossing WAY too many gutter balls and managing an occasional spare and ONE STRIKE BY ONE PLAYER, we bought another voucher and will be playing and eating on our next visit. The staff were fun and friendly. It was a delightful way to spend a rainy July afternoon!"

This place was state of the art when it was first built. And unfortunately, it just hasn't been kept up at all. The lanes are highly dysfunctional, and the furniture is so bulky that you don't have hardly any room if the lanes next to you are also occupied. Also, the furniture have holes in them or are kept together with duct tape. It would be nice, too, if the lights and video screens were on to give some extra entertainment and life to the place. But the food and beer selection is decent, and it's still a fun place to hang out and play a few games of bowling.

Had a birthday for my son there today and it was awesome! Brenda was kind and helpful. I dropped off decorations the day before and they had it all set up before we got there. They had the food ready right on time and it was great! We will definitely go back for a family fun night. Would highly recommend!

While visiting family, my husband and adult children decided to go bowling at The Big E. We all had a great time. The bowling alley was a little small, but they had lanes open when we arrived. They type your name in when you pay, so there is no technology to deal with. The big E also has a nice arcade, movie theater, bumper cars, mini golf and a play land. It could provide a full days fun. We only bowled for an hour. That plus 5 shoe rentals were $50 which I feel was a fair price. It's a great place for a family outing!

Foxfire is great for a no frills, cost efficient bowling outing. We have been coming to FoxFire for years and we enjoying coming to Kannapolis to get away from the larger crowds and higher prices in Charlotte. Over the years not much has changed inside so it is a little dated but the facility is always clean and maintained. The employees are always very friendly and there is always a special going on especially during the week. My party of 4 was able to bowl 2 games for $10, bowling shoes were included in the price. This was on MLK Monday. There was no wait time for a line and we were able to get a line with no other parties beside us, we do think the lines are a little more narrow than other bowling alleys we've been to so the space between parties is appreciated. The only issue we had this time at the lane was the floors seemed to be really slippery. My whole party was concerned that we would eventually slip during bowling but we fortunately did not. We had no issues with the lane or pins working properly. Sometimes the concession stand is open and sometime it is not, I'm assuming that depends on the time of day. I could call ahead and ask if you are expecting to order food when you get there. The front desk does take orders for fountain drinks and hot dogs but otherwise you can get snacks from the vending machines.

We had a great Friday afternoon bowling. We went in not knowing what all they offer there, the bowling was actually pretty cheap. We bowled for two hours. Will definitely be back

Not sure why all the bad ratings! Came as a family of 4, rented the lane for and hour and only spent $36 total. Walked away happy. Very clean and friendly service.

"I love this place. the prices are really great for what all you can do. I took me and my friends for a good time (we are all 18-21) and it only cost me about $22 to play a game of bowling, lazer tag, and it included $10 in credits for the arcade. it was a wonderful time. they are open until 11pm so you can hang out pretty late and chill with your friends or family. they offer food and drink, even alcohol."
"I'm no bowler but today was "team building" day at work so my boss suggested an afternoon at the Woodleaf Lanes. I haven't been bowling since I was 10. We bowled a few games, I took a tumble down the lane... oh yeah feelin the unity as my co-workers pointed and laughed. That's a scar I soon won't forget. We had lunch then bowled some more. It was a lot of fun and a nice break from the daily grind. The rental shoes weren't even stinky. What? This was a genuine concern. I was freaked out about it but I wore thick socks and I still have all my toes, so, the rental shoe thing was tested and approved. If you are looking for cheap thrills, I think it was 10 bucks and a good time. So, check it out and don't worry about your toes... so far so good :)"
"Very clean hole in the wall bowling alley. Also had an arcade area, snack bar and bar. Was nice they had pool available however the tables and cues could use some upkeep. The bar was a bar with old school black lighting. Elizabeth was attentive and friendly. We would return for some more fun!"
"I have been to Bowlero Charlotte multiple times with friends and family. While in the area and looking for something to do, this seems to be the activity version of comfort food for a lot of people. I am not much of a bowler, but truth be told, I am sure I have put my fingers in far worse than those bowling balls.I have eaten the food and it was decent. We had drinks. No one complained and people seemed happy each time I went there. They played decent music."
"It was a rainy day and we were looking for something to do, so we stopped into Pinhouse. It was late afternoon and bowling was free, an added bonus! You check in and receive a bracelet that is linked to your credit card. They have a large selection of ciders, wines and beers, all self serve. You scan your bracelet , pour and are see how much you will be charged. The benefit is you can try a few ounces and sample many varieties. There is also a bar for mixed drinks. The bowling is Duckpin. It is ten pins and balls are really small, with no finger holes. There are only four lanes, so I would imagine they get booked quickly. Outside food is allowed, since none is served here. There is a patio, I am sure it would be great if it wasn't raining."
"I didn't think I would like this place as much as I do. We were suckered into the Kids Bowl Free program and naturally had to sign up as a family as well. You still pay for the shoe rental (we need to buy a couple of pairs for the adults). We've been a few times so far and had a good experience so far. The employees are polite (shocker, no really) and helpful. When we've experienced issues with the lane someone was quick to come and help. The kids have a great time and they even have those dinosaur roller thingies that help your kid roll the bowling ball down the alley, if they cannot do it by themselves (why weren't those things around when I was a kid? - wait, I didn't bowl as a kid). The computer system to input your party's name is easily navigable and each player can be edited to have guard rails (I will admit I do use them and still can't reach a high score). Two games, depending on your party/lane size can pass fairly quickly, so you're not stuck there for hours upon hours. I think 8 people per lane are allowed. Maybe some people do want to be there for hours and hours; especially on Wednesdays, because everything is half off. Lesson learned; it's crowded on Wednesdays and we had to wait over an hour to get bowling lanes with friends. Since this is obviously an eatertainment they offer a full-service restaurant with standard American fare. There is an arcade, two bowling areas and escape rooms. I've also seen a bunch of older people dancing. Here's to summer time bowling. Happy yelping!"
"My partner and I visited for an Offline promotion. We arrived for an early dinner on a Thursday. The place was mostly empty but there was a corporate party in the bowling area. We picked a table that was dirty and moved to the next one. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. We ordered a couple beers for $10 each, not a great start. Cocktail and wine were even higher price. The menu was a decent variety of pub style food, wings, burgers, dis. I ordered the variety platter with cauliflower buffalo bites, brisket sliders, and wings. The cauliflower bites were soggy, the brisket sliders barely had any meat, and the wings were ok.The server applied my promotion from Offline but entered the wrong amount so I had to have them change it, sigh. I tipped well but won't be back. Pins Mechanical and Dave and Busters are highly superior to this place. The place is all gray and boring, little art, no window treatments, no plants, no cool lighting. The bowling area looks like the only decently decorated spot. The other room is full of games with some interesting furniture."
"I've been going to strikers for several years now, but only occasionally as I live in Charlotte and bowl here with my mother when I visit. I purchased my ball, bag, shoes and some accessories from the pro shop and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and assisted me to make the most informed decisions. The entire establishment was clean and the lanes and equipment seemed to be well maintained. The snack bar offers a good selection and the prices are reasonable, and the food is good. There are plenty of lanes, so you shouldn't have to wait long to bowl, if at all. Ido look forward to my next visit and continuing to improve my game."
"Bowlero is pretty much your typical bowling alley. Great location with tons of other bars, restaurants, and things to do nearby. Plenty of parking in the lot or on the street. Bowling is bowling to me (a non-bowler) so I wouldn't know if it is great for serious bowlers but for a fun outing as a group or for a date it is fun. Service was really slow so it was much easier to just go order things yourself instead of waiting for someone to come to you."
"They also have cornhole and darts, happy hour specials, and weekly trivia. We had good service, good food, and a good time."
"This old timey alley is perfect for a spot to bowl. With attentive staff and an ambiance that reflects the town and it's winter snow fun, this alley is sure to please!"
"Honestly, what a hidden gem! Simple, no frills bowling alley with a decent kitchen. I'm sad I've lived near here for almost four years before checking it out. It was a rainy Saturday and we had family in town- with kids of mixed ages - so what do you do? Bowl! Textile lanes is kind of a step back in time, but in a good way, still the "old fashioned" (I'm a late 80's kid, so the bowling computers I remember) set up. Everyone there was super friendly and we were able to get a lane right away. We also go snacks at the grill - their fried pickles could compete with any establishment - along with the their green beans. My niece got the soup, and I'm pretty sure it was a whole can of Campbells chicken noodle, but what's not to love about the nostalgia of that. We will certainly be back!"
"Customer service 5 stars - guy working was quick to assist and get the lane set up take payment etc. Guy was also working the food area and fixing lane issues for customers.Pretty sure he never gets to stand still but was polite and worked his tail off.Lanes 3 stars - they do need some work. Multiple malfunctions and there was a wonky board right before the headpin I would come back, the vibe of the place is niceIt's laid back and it is affordable compared to the fancier places so there is the trade off. Affordable, jist not super flashy updated decor and all that stuff.I dug the place even with its few flaws. I'm sure you'll enjoy your bowling experience, I know I did."
"Spare Time is a great place to have some awesome fun with family and friends. Walking in and we were greeted by the employee at the counter. We asked him about the specials they had and he was very helpful. Got the special and our bowling shoes and proceeded to our lane. We were all having a good time bowling and enjoying each other's company. Employee at the counter gave great customer service, five stars. We needed some snacks and drinks so I headed over to the bar area to see what they had. I was so disappointed with the service here. There were two employees helping customers so we waited for our turn. Once they were done both of them walked away and began a conversation to the side of the bar. No problem, I thought, they will help us soon. Waited patiently and they clearly saw us waiting but continued their conversation. I was getting a bit annoyed and asked if someone could help us. They said they would bring right with us and began talking secretly to each other and covered their faces. By this time I was not happy with the service they were giving us. FINALLY, placed our order and thought wow that was expensive but I knew it would not be cheap. Our food came out and I immediately understood why. I asked for a SLICE of cheese pizza and he gave me a WHOLE cheese pizza. So this tells me that they were not LISTENING to what I was saying, ugggg. Subtracting two stars for customer service at the bar."
"Spacious bowling alley they have a front bowling area and a back area. The prices are a little steep. One game is $35 for two people including shoes but they have a special if you play three games you get the third game for five dollars, I don't know how long this offer will last. They have an arcade in the front and a food court with a bar in the center. The shoes are Velcro, which makes it easy to put on. The music is basic. I think they get really stepping up by having like a hip-hop night different nights for their clientele. They have a large parking area. Great spot for all ages. Hope you enjoy!"
"This place is part of the Galleria Mall in Rock Hill, SC.My first time here with my two Sons & 4 year old Grand. It was a Saturday evening and we put our name on the wait list at 545p and finally got a lane at 8p. SO I recommend reserving in advance if you can.The first thing I noticed was the very visible Rock Hill PD Cruisers out front. There were three of them and there was an uniformed officer stationed at the front door. Yes, you and your family will feel safe here. It's got a massive Arcade, think Dave & Busters level with electronic games for kids & adults of all ages. The big balloon claw pick up was very popular. They do the 'card swipe' so you can purchase and reload with value and when you 'win' the ticket value is credited back to the card or they have a prize exchange area.A huge bar with wide screen TV's very prominent in the center of the facility and just adjacent to the kitchen where you an order Pizza, Wings, Tenders and fries and yes they serve beer.If you like the idea of throwing an axe, they got you. I also liked the retro Pac-Man and Galaga game that are 'huge'!There are 14 bowling lanes and each has a huge HDTV over it and there is another one over the end of each lane. We watched the Commanders take down the Lions in an epic NFC division play-off game. It's computerized and automated so you have a touch screen at your lane table where you start your round and order your food. A very prominent video screen above so you can track your score. What's very different is the use of Robots to deliver the food. They also have attendants to bring the beverages, napkins, straws and check on you from time to time. Roaming CSR's available to answer questions and solve problems. We had pizza, chicken tenders and fries and I was surprised at how good the meat lover pizza was.I also like that they have the weight of each ball prominently stenciled on each ball and there are lots of choices. We all commented on how quickly the ball gets returned and the pins are re-set. It really helps to keep the pace of your round. In the winter time, this is a great place to gather with family and friends for a good time out of the weather."
"I haven't been bowling in a while, and had forgotten how much fun it can be. So when my daughter suggested midnight bowling at Pin Station for my Bday, I said I was all in.Located in Newton, less than 30 minutes from my house, Pin Station is not one of the newer or fancier bowling alleys, but its kept clean, the price are reasonable and security doesn't let anyone get out of line. From 11pm-1am the light go down, the neon and disco light spin and music roars from the loud speakers and every one has a good time. They have a concessions stand with decent food and beer prices as well. My daughter and I shared a couple of pitchers of beer and some mozzarella sticks. Good for all age groups, my daughter and were bowling next to a family of 5.Neither of us are great bowlers, but we had a good time and some great father daughter time. Thanks, Laura for a great night."
"We had an absolute ball here. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! We bought a Groupon and were treated awesome! We played pool for an hour then bowled for 2 hours. Everything was great. Only complaint we had was the mozzarella sticks came cold. The place was hopping and everyone was having a good time. Will definitely go back for more !"
"Bowling adventures with kids! We had a great time bowling. They allow you to make reservations and they have 6 lb bowling balls for kids. We then had to visit the arcade and explore the games. We played Mario Kart and then went to the younger kids area and played a basketball game and enjoyed a car ride. They also had a soft play area and they had bouncy houses for an extra fee. Games are on a swipe card, you have to fill with money at the front desk."
"Honestly, surprisingly pleased. We did my daughter's birthday party here and it was great. The party was 4 hours, a private room was provided, and she had about 15 friends. 2 pitchers of soda and 2 pizzas were included. We were allowed to bring in our own cake and decorations. The staff was friendly. The cost was around $195 for a Saturday night. It was less at other times. It was memorable for her. I was concerned at first about how the party would play out, but it went very well."
