I have spent time in Guatemala and I was very excited to find a panaderia in Charlotte that could remind me of my fun travels. The owner and staff are Guatemaltecos. In addition, the store is very basic (like what you would find in Guatemala); however, the display counter of their breads and pastries offered a very good selection.I ordered a cookie topped with fruit and it only cost $2. It was plenty for me and my husband to share for a tasty treat. I'm happy to have found this place and I plan to return. They also have another store at 4740 Old Pineville Rd. Local B, 28217."

"I come here from time to time for a sweet treat, but here lately Ive heard a lot of chatter about the grits. Of course, I need to try these amazing grits so I came by for brunch one day and wanted the shrimp & grits. Unfortunately, they were out of shrimp so I got the grits with the salmon patty. I was very impressed with the taste and portion size. Honestly, I was skeptical about the salmon patty because I really wanted shrimp, but after tasting it, I was i heaven! I would highly recommend the grits for sure. I only gave 4 stars for the following reason: they never have a lot of selection of sweets. When I came by, I was hoping for a piece of cake to top off the experience, but they only had brownies, which looked really dark and rich, which wasn't what I was going for although I know they would be delicious. Otherwise, the restaurant itself is clean, cute and quaint. I'll definitely be back!"

Was it too sweet? Well, it was on the slightly sweeter side, but it paired perfectly with my Americano! I'd definitely order it again.P.S. The interior of this place is super chic and modern. If you're an Instagram influencer, you'll love taking photos here! They have a good amount of seating both inside and outside. Also, the parking lot is huge and paved. And they even offer drive-through. Very cool!"

There were lots of great menu items to choose from that all sound tasty. I went for the grilled chicken sandwich and it tasted great! I sat by the fireplace outside and enjoyed my meal and atmosphere. Employees were nice and hardworking to keep tables clean and customers happy. The only thing I wish was better was the layout and comfort of their tables and chairs. Most are hard metal chairs and for my old back I just wasn't as comfortable as I could be. I will definitely go back to try more menu items!"

Loved the outdoor patio with great chairs and heaters and spaces to sit and enjoy the food and chat. They also have ample parking which was nice . Inside is equally nice with the significant tree in the center. There is a meaning behind this I'm sure as I've seen it at other South American coffee shops too. Great open space with people WFH and others just enjoying their coffee . The service was standard and quick . All the sandwiches and wraps are made to order. We tried the wallpa quad, which is chicken, egg, lettuce, tomato and special house mayo . Wrapped in a thin wrap. Very tasty and filling! Loved the combination and the spices from the sauce. Also tried the cappuccino which was a lovely cup of strong coffee and pretty . We also had a mocha chino which was nice and creamy and nice cocoa flavor. Our sweet treats were the lemon tart which came on this fabulous crumbly shortbread with lovely lemon curd type cream on top with some whipped cream . This was just delicious and not over sweet. The Alfajores was also amazing. Shortbread that just melts in your mouth with a nice layer of dulce de leche in the middle and powdered sugar on top. Yum. The savory and the sweet were all really good and you can tell made in house. All their other sweet baked good looked awesome. So I definitely wanna go back to try that tres leche! Loved this lovely well run place. You can never love too many coffee shops !"

And the usual fresh fruits and vegetables. Their own line of natural meats looks amazing. I had to try a little bit of everything! The store is insanely clean! Self-checkout is all the way down towards the exit. If you go to the cashiers remember everyone who works here is brand new so pretend not to hate humanity for a minute and a half. You can do it!Highly recommend to bring your own bags. If you forget and need a shopping bag, it's a small extra charge (like in Europe). But they are reusable and sturdy!"

My favorite are the mini glazed croissants- they are the perfect size so you'll need at least half of dozen. I stop by there often on my way to work. Burney's is located in beautiful downtown Waxhaw. The parking lot is in the back of stores and then you need to walk around to the front to enter the store. Burney's is closed Monday's and opened Tuesday -Saturday 7am-6pm and Sunday 9a-3pm. Excellent customer service - everyone is knowledgeable and personable. I could go on and on about how nice everyone who works here is when I come into the store.The variety is in the name - sweets and more! Burney's has some many varieties of sweets. Today I got a cupcake, double chocolate chip cookie, and blueberry donut. I'm picking up croissants tomorrow for an office Christmas party! : )"

"This has been one of the coolest finds for me this summer. A friend recommended we swing by for dessert one night after we'd been sitting on the D9 patio. I had no idea this truck existed, but I've since brought my sister and her fiance. They've got a few parking spots out front, picnic tables, and music playing for people staying to eat. The space is so well done.The cookies and ice cream are even more amazing. I've had the Lemon Cookie (V) with Vanilla Ice Cream and the Chewy Sugar Cookie with Peach Cobbler Ice Cream. It was really cool to see that they took over a side room in the old Beadlush spot on Plaza next to Whiskey Warehouse and just caddy corner from Teeter. It's a small space with only enough standing room for about 4 warm bodies, but it's super cute. Metro racks take up the rear part of the space with tons of freshly baked breads available for purchase. They also have an array of t-shirts available for purchase. My favorite has always been their rosemary asiago foccacia and rustic sourdough, but we also picked up a loaf of the cracked pepper and jack loaf, which was awesome. If you're in the Wood, stop by and grab a loaf."
