"We love this place! We are taking our college and career class there for fun! We have been several times to play. It is reasonably priced and a lot of fun!"
"Cheap family fun! Love it here the mini golf course definitely needs some work but that's okay because it is cheap!"
"Really fun and great value for $! Friendly service, well run spot. I stopped by here on Sunday. They were in a 1 hour wait, so I explored Grove Arcade in the meantime. They texted once space had freed up. $15 for all you can play (Mandalorian and one or two other games were excluded but that didn't really bother me). I had a great time playing some classics, spent 20 solid minutes playing Pac-Man. I looked for Tetris but couldn't find it (not sure if I missed it), and had a blast playing the retro desktop space arcade game. They have some beer and chips, but no wine or seltzers unfortunately. Definitely worth checking out for some late doses of entertainment and nostalgia!"
"I would never expect to find a place like this in Rock Hill. We came for a friend's birthday and had a great time. It's kind of hard to find. The address is on Main Street, but it's not really right on Main Street. It's down on the side of a building. It would help if they put a sign on Main Street directing you where it was. There's a free parking garage near by.It's 21+ only and they check ids at the door. There's a $5 cover, cash and card are both accepted. Once you're inside, all arcade games and pinball machines are set to free play and you can play as long as you like. There a large patio area as well, but it was a little cold right now. They layout inside isn't great. It's very cramped and hard to get around. There's some tables to sit at and eat, but they're awkwardly placed because they're in the way of the games. They have a pretty good number of games. Pinball is my favorite and they had six machines I believe. They have a decent drink selection as well as a small food menu with pretty standard bar food. We got the bacon cheese fries and the cinnamon sugar fries. The bacon cheese fries were good--pretty standard with a nice crispy fry. The cinnamon sugar fries needed an icing to dip them in. The only thing I did not like was how loud the music was. It felt like you were at a club and you couldn't talk to anyone. I'd be interested to come earlier in the day and see if it has a more laid back vibe. I really liked the concept of this place. All of the arcade bars in Charlotte tend toward free to get in and then you have to pay for games like pinball. I'd way rather just pay $5 to get in and then not have to worry about it. I'd definitely come back here, but probably during the day when there's a better chance of normal volume music."
"Think Dave and Buster's for the 13 and under set. This place is tucked away behind the Waffle House that's off of WT Harris. I was babysitting/"hanging out" with my 7-year-old nephew for the day and needed to find somewhere that would excite yet tire him out for a few hours. The place looks very unassuming upon pulling into the parking lot but once you enter, it's bright lights, colors, and games for days. In order to play the games, you have to buy cards, wristbands, etc at the front desk beforehand. Thankfully, we arrived right when it opened, so we walked right up and purchased the card for "bowling" and wristband for the bounce houses. The bowling (1 game = $3) set up does not include your typical bowling balls. They're smaller and much heavier. He was not the biggest fan of it but he L-O-V-E-D the bounce houses. There's four or five inflatable houses with various levels of difficulty and he went through all of them multiple times. The price for the bounce houses was $9.95 and allows your child to play ALL day. Best $10 I spent the entire day.The staff I encountered was very friendly and the facilities appeared very clean and well taken care of. Whenever I have children under my watch, I will be taking them here!"
"My company hosts a work party here every year and I've always had a blast! As an adult, playing all the nostalgic games is so fun. I like the gigantic Pac Man and Galaga. The bumper cars are small but surprisingly joyous! Classics remind me of my childhood days at Chuck-E-Cheese. The outdoor ropes course is really fun, I loved flying through the air! There's a mini golf course, bowling, and laser tag too. The movie theatre has always been good sound and good video. The staff let's us set up early and is super helpful with food and prep. I'd recommend using them for an event if you want something fun."
"I looked up on this place for Google search and man o man, was I happy? This place is for the big kids and the little kids. You play one flat fee of $10 for adults or $5 for children. And you get to play as many games as you'd like, as long as they're open. They had every game from Miss packman to Galaxy to Donkey Kong. All of the games that I grew up on. They also have liquor, beer, wine, soda and water for additional purchase. The staff was great as well."
"I am not a bowling fan and I am not good at it. Bowling Alleys will never be my happy place.Having said that, as far as bowling alleys go.... This one is alright. Strong sense of community here. Decent snack bar, with large selection, reasonable prices and outstanding iced tea. Terrible Nachos, just Salty Cheese and Saltier Corn Chips. Great cold Angry Orchard. Bonus points for offering over the counter painkillers right on the menu! The staff is great too. The efforts to keep patrons safe post pandemic were easy to see. I appreciated that they had a bottle of hand sanitizer at each table, and a handless door pull in the restroom. What I didn't like was the poor ventilation and the lack of cleanliness in the ladies restroom. The old stretched out disgusting, bowling shoes looked like the literal personification of COVID 19. To balance the scales of these issues they need to serve hard liquor. One hour before closing they threatened to turn the lights down and play romantic music! What the moonlight bowling was this unholy amalgam!!! Thank goodness I was good and gone before this happened. I laughed so freaking hard, I almost stayed JUST to witness it. While there are so many things to like about this family friendly place, it should come as no surprise that I don't plan on going here nor any bowling alley again. Four well earned stars."
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice, f**k off. This place could be badass but there is ZERO investment in staff and customer experience. My most recent and final visit was on an NFL Sunday. There were exactly two people working the floor with one person in the "kitchen". Two people working the bar and floor is absurd. Crowd of 50 people and two servers is abysmal. Be that as it may, we ordered food and drinks. Drinks came out expeditiously but our deli meat, microwaved wraps took 45 minutes. And they were cold! Well not cold, but barely room temperature. I've given this place three shots and have found no redeeming qualities. They are trying to charge $50 a person to play virtual back nine of Pebble Beach? Bruh. Hard pass."
"One of my favorite places in charlotte to bring out of town friends on a cold, rainy day! Even on summer when it's too hot to be outside. The dark cool interior is loaded with video games, 80s-90s nostalgia, fun art, pinball, and great drinks. They have food trucks sometimes but the homemade hot pocket is delicious and filling for $8! The bartenders and workers are so nice and helpful. I love stepping out in the back patio if I need a break from all the funky lights."
"We hosted our son's high school graduation party at Spare Time and we were really impressed. From the staff, food, bar service and cleanliness of the establishment. We booked a private lane in advance over the phone and the process was super easy. The package we ordered included bowling shoes and 2 hours of bowling for 6 people. When we arrived our lane was ready with had a congrats acknowledgment to my son on the monitor. Once all the guests arrived the teens started to bowl. The set up and monitors were nice and easy to use. There were two restaurants and a bar to order food and drinks from. The adults ordered from the bar and I ordered pizza and soft drinks for the teens. The staff at the pizzeria suggested three pizzas would be more than enough for 6 teens. So we ordered a cheese, pepperoni, and meat lovers and beverages. The staff brought it order to our lane once it was ready. The manager came over to check on our experience and gave our son a free hour at the arcade as a gift. Which was so kind and thoughtful.Overall our experience was Exceptionally well. I'll definitely host another party or celebration here in the future.Tips: Free parking and book VIP lounge for adult party!"
"Excellent BLT sandwich. Very good counter service. This place is a throwback to the 60s. I enjoyed going here."

This place was state of the art when it was first built. And unfortunately, it just hasn't been kept up at all. The lanes are highly dysfunctional, and the furniture is so bulky that you don't have hardly any room if the lanes next to you are also occupied. Also, the furniture have holes in them or are kept together with duct tape. It would be nice, too, if the lights and video screens were on to give some extra entertainment and life to the place. But the food and beer selection is decent, and it's still a fun place to hang out and play a few games of bowling.

Ok, so I like pinball and museums so I thought I would really like it here. Sadly, it wasn't really for me. First, it is not really a museum so don't expect that. Second, the entry process sets a bad tone. There is someone at the very front that has a job that isn't clear to me. Then you have to wait in a giant, slow moving line to pay. They were doing both the payments to play as well as the drinks. It was too crowded and hard to play with that many people. There are cool old machines that you can't play randomly located throughout. Maybe that is the "museum" aspect? Overall, not bad but not as fun as I was hoping.

What a cool spot!! I am so glad we stumbled upon Player1Up while we were walking around Rock Hill. We were walking around and it looked intriguing so we decided to stop in. They have a ton of fun games and they were all actually working and in good repair. They also seemed very clean which is always nice but in the world of COVID it is very much appreciated. We played a few games and then had a seat at the bar for a drink. The bartender was very nice and the drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. You can sit at the bar, at the tables near the bar or outside on the patio.

Had a great time with the family doing many different activities such as laser tag, bowling, rock climbing and bumper cars. This is a great place for birthday parties as well. Enjoy.

While visiting family, my husband and adult children decided to go bowling at The Big E. We all had a great time. The bowling alley was a little small, but they had lanes open when we arrived. They type your name in when you pay, so there is no technology to deal with. The big E also has a nice arcade, movie theater, bumper cars, mini golf and a play land. It could provide a full days fun. We only bowled for an hour. That plus 5 shoe rentals were $50 which I feel was a fair price. It's a great place for a family outing!

I can't speak for the drinks as I was only there for the games. They didn't have many games at least not compared to other places I've been to but it was $5 on Wednesday for all-you-can-play which is such a deal! Actually I don't remember if it was $5 or $10 - either way a good deal! And no need to bring endless amounts of quarters. The staff was friendly, I didn't have any problems with the customers there and everyone let you have your turn. It was a nice place overall with fun games. For the price, I would definitely be back if I was in the area.

Foxfire is great for a no frills, cost efficient bowling outing. We have been coming to FoxFire for years and we enjoying coming to Kannapolis to get away from the larger crowds and higher prices in Charlotte. Over the years not much has changed inside so it is a little dated but the facility is always clean and maintained. The employees are always very friendly and there is always a special going on especially during the week. My party of 4 was able to bowl 2 games for $10, bowling shoes were included in the price. This was on MLK Monday. There was no wait time for a line and we were able to get a line with no other parties beside us, we do think the lines are a little more narrow than other bowling alleys we've been to so the space between parties is appreciated. The only issue we had this time at the lane was the floors seemed to be really slippery. My whole party was concerned that we would eventually slip during bowling but we fortunately did not. We had no issues with the lane or pins working properly. Sometimes the concession stand is open and sometime it is not, I'm assuming that depends on the time of day. I could call ahead and ask if you are expecting to order food when you get there. The front desk does take orders for fountain drinks and hot dogs but otherwise you can get snacks from the vending machines.

"We took our nephews here last Saturday and used a Groupon. The 4 year old LOVED IT!!! The 2 year old only wanted to bowl. EVERYONE on staff was so nice, accommodating and genuinely wanted us to have a good time. They gave us a card for a free round of mini golf because the little guy got scared. I love that all of the art is done by local artists. I would HIGHLY recommend this location!!!! We will definitely be back!!"
"Found this place while in town with my son tour local college. Brought back great memories of a lot of those video games. Glad my son and I found it. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. For only $16 a person and ability to play all day and even in/out privileges on same day is great! If my son attends college here I see him spending off time at this place."
"I've been to the Pinball museum in Vegas and it was awesome but overwhelming. Here it's big enough and you can play all your favorite games all day long. Where was a place like this when i was a kid?"
"I love pinball and my kids love video games. If this sounds like you, come check this place out!!Okay - I know it's not The Asheville Pinball Museum (or the Appalachian sister Museum) but it's still a pretty neat place to spend an afternoon. For $6 an hour per person you can play on an hourly basis - otherwise $10 for kids and $12 for grown-ups for all day play. We were there four 4 hours and barely blinked - we were having such a blast! Not a big selection of what I would consider "good" pinball machines - and by that I mean ones that I personally would find appealing to play - that doesn't mean that you wouldn't like them. Probably my favorite was the World Cup Soccer one. Where this place is strong, is on the arcade game side - tons of gun games like Time Crisis, House of the Dead and Area 51. Lots of fighting games too - Rampage, X-Men, Ninja Turtles. There was this really addictive game called Toobin' too. I love free play style on games like these because we actually were able to beat House of the Dead and X-Men without having to spend $20 in quarters!!Star Wars Bathroom, Nintendo Stations, wall of Funko Pops, friendly staff, reasonable prices and lots of fun = pretty cool place!"
"I have been to Bowlero Charlotte multiple times with friends and family. While in the area and looking for something to do, this seems to be the activity version of comfort food for a lot of people. I am not much of a bowler, but truth be told, I am sure I have put my fingers in far worse than those bowling balls.I have eaten the food and it was decent. We had drinks. No one complained and people seemed happy each time I went there. They played decent music."
"So great concept but let's get rid of the plastic cups and be environmentally conscious. How about glasses and a place for drinks- while playing games. A dance game would be fun and a few more driving games would be sweet. How about a couple of shooting games and a motorcycle ride? The ten dollar fee is fine but how about serving more local draft beer?"
"What a surprise Tuesday night we had with our sons here! Emma & Cameron were awesome, friendly, and helpful! They went above & beyond to ensure that our boys had an incredible night! Plus the paintings inside are incredible, like an evening at a glow gallery! We checked out their party rooms & our sons screamed in excitement saying they can't wait to have bday parties there! Seriously, best place for kids in Gaston County! My husband & I had a blast, too!"
"great place to come to hangout. Amazing owners and workers. 10/10 recommend coming to play some games and get a drink"
"Excited to have a real classic arcade in Gastonia! Family friendly, and all the games and pinballs are on free play, you just pay for a day pass and get a wristband, you can leave and come back all day. The food is surprisingly good - the carolina dog is the best I've had in NC. Friendly and helpful staff."
"Bowlero is pretty much your typical bowling alley. Great location with tons of other bars, restaurants, and things to do nearby. Plenty of parking in the lot or on the street. Bowling is bowling to me (a non-bowler) so I wouldn't know if it is great for serious bowlers but for a fun outing as a group or for a date it is fun. Service was really slow so it was much easier to just go order things yourself instead of waiting for someone to come to you."
"They also have cornhole and darts, happy hour specials, and weekly trivia. We had good service, good food, and a good time."
"BEST BAR DOWNTOWN ASHEVILLE!I had a blast here! The bar has both beer as well as cocktails. The bartender let me sample some beer before I made my choice. All of the pinball machines have cup holders on them to hold your drink. No games were out of order while I was here. The selection was pretty big, though not as big as the other arcade bar in town. The location was what makes this so great, since you can go in and out all day you can take breaks to eat or drink elsewhere downtown then return here. I'll definitely be back, I spent about 2-3 hours here playing all of the games. Only $10 admission for all day! Can't beat that."
"Spare Time is a great place to have some awesome fun with family and friends. Walking in and we were greeted by the employee at the counter. We asked him about the specials they had and he was very helpful. Got the special and our bowling shoes and proceeded to our lane. We were all having a good time bowling and enjoying each other's company. Employee at the counter gave great customer service, five stars. We needed some snacks and drinks so I headed over to the bar area to see what they had. I was so disappointed with the service here. There were two employees helping customers so we waited for our turn. Once they were done both of them walked away and began a conversation to the side of the bar. No problem, I thought, they will help us soon. Waited patiently and they clearly saw us waiting but continued their conversation. I was getting a bit annoyed and asked if someone could help us. They said they would bring right with us and began talking secretly to each other and covered their faces. By this time I was not happy with the service they were giving us. FINALLY, placed our order and thought wow that was expensive but I knew it would not be cheap. Our food came out and I immediately understood why. I asked for a SLICE of cheese pizza and he gave me a WHOLE cheese pizza. So this tells me that they were not LISTENING to what I was saying, ugggg. Subtracting two stars for customer service at the bar."
"Spacious bowling alley they have a front bowling area and a back area. The prices are a little steep. One game is $35 for two people including shoes but they have a special if you play three games you get the third game for five dollars, I don't know how long this offer will last. They have an arcade in the front and a food court with a bar in the center. The shoes are Velcro, which makes it easy to put on. The music is basic. I think they get really stepping up by having like a hip-hop night different nights for their clientele. They have a large parking area. Great spot for all ages. Hope you enjoy!"
"I haven't been bowling in a while, and had forgotten how much fun it can be. So when my daughter suggested midnight bowling at Pin Station for my Bday, I said I was all in.Located in Newton, less than 30 minutes from my house, Pin Station is not one of the newer or fancier bowling alleys, but its kept clean, the price are reasonable and security doesn't let anyone get out of line. From 11pm-1am the light go down, the neon and disco light spin and music roars from the loud speakers and every one has a good time. They have a concessions stand with decent food and beer prices as well. My daughter and I shared a couple of pitchers of beer and some mozzarella sticks. Good for all age groups, my daughter and were bowling next to a family of 5.Neither of us are great bowlers, but we had a good time and some great father daughter time. Thanks, Laura for a great night."
"We booked our son's 8 year old's birthday party with Rolling Video Games and it was a HIT! All the boys absolutely loved it! The parents and siblings joined in too! John was fantastic and so helpful. I can't recommend them enough!"
"Bowling adventures with kids! We had a great time bowling. They allow you to make reservations and they have 6 lb bowling balls for kids. We then had to visit the arcade and explore the games. We played Mario Kart and then went to the younger kids area and played a basketball game and enjoyed a car ride. They also had a soft play area and they had bouncy houses for an extra fee. Games are on a swipe card, you have to fill with money at the front desk."
"Stars and strikes is a new staple in the neighborhood but it's still something fun for kids to do in spite of the times were living in. Start and Stripes have lots of great games for kids to play, laser tag, interactive games, bowling and a sports lounge so parents can watch sports while the kids have their fun. This "fun spot" is a place to remind kids that there is a place where things are still somewhat normal (outside of the mask). They do have signs posted reminding people to wear masks and that they do comply with COVID guidelines for the facility; they do a good job sanitizing and wiping down the games, but I would like to see more sanitizing stations posted around. All in all, this is a nice place to let the kids and the kids at heart blow off some steam and have some fun."
"This place brings back childhood putt putt memories. It's a great way to waste some time and money blowing off steam with a bit of nostalgia. Some of the games are broken and unkept and the putting area is no good after the rain, as it gets soggy and slushy and the holes fill with water. Some of the machines don't give the true amount of tickets owed and the prizes that you can redeem them for are truly for the younger youngsters. To them, it's golden. The employees seem off in their own world and really let folks run free. You almost have to stalk someone if you need assistance. When you find them, they get the job done, but I'm not wowed by the level of customer service. Overall outdated, especially the restrooms and children's birthday "party" rooms, I'm quite surprised this place is still in business."
