Butcher Boy's Cafe

Ok, I'm new to the area and driven past this place many times. Today, we decided to give it a try, as it's always busy. I don't think the decors been changed in years. There's dust on everything that's above arms length to reach. In our booth, I got to look at a spiderweb in the corner with small spider watching over me. To top it off, 15 minutes after eating, I had a dumb and dumber incident having to run to bathroom. Thank goodness I lived close by.

Standard breakfast fair without a lot of flair. This place was recommended to us by some friends and we were really looking forward to it. Now I don't mind greasy spoon type place, but the lack of salt and pepper in the food was kind of surprising. The staff was very friendly and very quick to service, but everything was just terribly bland. Fortunately, they had plenty of salt, pepper and hot sauce on the table. I do not think we will be back, but it was a nice experience.

Small Country Diner about halfway between Mooresville and Lincolnton on NC Hwy 150.A local favorite for good reason. Food is great and prices are right although they just had to go up of the buffet because of increasing food costs.We have been probably three or four times now and it's always good. Might have to wait in line to get seated around lunch time but the line moves quickly.The buffet is great with a good variety of Southern Comfort foods including Chicken Pot Pie, Salisbury Steaks, Wings etc. Time before last, I had the Chicken Liver Special and it was good although just a bit overcooked.You can order off the menu and they have a great selection there if nothing appeals to you off of the menu.We normally visit on Sunday and time our visit to be around 11am to get the Lunch Buffet and just ahead of the Lunch time crowd.They have Seafood All You Can Eat Buffets twice a week and have not made it to them yet but on my radar

Love their food and service is amazing. Feels like home, and most of the food is like someone's granny is cooking in the back! :)

This rating is 100% based on food taste and the service. Our family of 4 tried a little bit of everything: pancakes, waffles, cheese grits, biscuits and gravy, bacon, country ham, hash browns, and sausage links. Everything was delicious!If I based my rating on how the place looks, it would be a 1. We almost didn't go in...but we are glad we did! This place has true Southern cooking and hospitality. If you're a Tarheel fan you will definitely appreciate the decor.

It's was decent. The bbq plate was, the best way to describe it would be soggy. It was my first time having Carolina Style bbq and it definitely didn't leave me wanting more. The hush puppies were delicious. No complaints on the chicken fingers and fries or the vegetable soup.

My wife and I had familyin from out of state we took them to Butcher Boys upon arrival we were seated promptly however we had to wait while they switched the buffet from breakfast to lunch which we understood completely however our guests decided for the buffet and my wife and I ordered from the menu. The rest of our party started through the buffet and after 25 minutes later my wife inquired about our order and our server said that she would check on it she came back and said it would be a couple of minutes. Our meal never came and the 34 minute by this time the rest of our party was almost through eating.mark we told her to cancel she then lied and said that it had only been 15 minutes. I honestly believe that she forgot to turn our order in.This was embarrassing for us since we sug going there.

Great breakfast buffet and service was excellent had to wait a few minutes to get a table but worth the wait

Ok, the food was great as always! We love the breakfast buffet and the Friday night seafood buffet. We haven't been in some time and I excited to go this morning. I sweated through the entire meal! 85°?!? The servers were smiling through their obvious misery. We always have great service and as I said, we love the down home country cooking. But please fix the air!

Visiting from Los Angeles, in the Denver, NC., area for 2 weeks. Today (January 28, 2023) gave them a try. Absolutely delicious! Had a ham and cheese omelette, bagel, and a blueberry pancake. A+ tasty. Tried a lot of the surrounding restaurants for breakfast (Stacy's, Westlake, Citrus, The Hen & Egg). How I wish I came here first. From now on this is my breakfast restaurant.I ordered off the menu but they also have a buffet that looked pretty good! Give them a try, you will be glad you did!
