Burrito Brothers Mexican Restaurant

We go to Burrito Brothers a lot. It is clearly one of our favorite restaurants in Asheboro. My daughter and I frequently get the avocado tostadas, and we both like them. I got fish tacos this time, and was almost overwhelmed with how tasty they were! I got the mango salsa, and it tasted a bit spicier than I was expecting, but I got used to it quickly and will definitely order it every time. The fish in the tacos was not breaded and fried, which was a pleasant surprise. It was white and delicious. I assume it was talapia, because they have that on their menu. Anyway, the meal came with rice and beans, and the whole experience was delicious. My husband got the beef burrito and ate every bite. The service at this restaurant is always good. We feel at home. Plenty of smiles and friendly conversation! Always a win, for many years.

I chose this establishment because it was open late and scored well here on Yelp. I found it to be a very middling, highly americanized, mexican restaurant. The locals probably love it for the large portions, but I would guess that the majority of their product is sourced from Gordon's Food Service. The refried beans and rice were especially mediocre and I didn't eat more that a cursory taste of those items. I had the chori-pollo dinner. Again, nothing special here. Little to no seasoning on most items. There was not even any hot sauce at the tables, so that's all you really need to know. Salsa was bland and even the chips were sourced - probably On The Border Cantina-Style brand chips. Food prep and presentation was ok. The restaurant overall, was shabby. I do not recommend, although there doesn't seem to be much else around here. I boxed up about 3/4 of the meal and deposited it in the dumpster back at the hotel.

We love Burrito Brothers! Their tacos are sooo good. My husband likes the beef cheek tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro and lime and onions. Our daughter loves the "cheese taco" aka kids quesadilla. The servers are always super attentive and quick. The food is so fresh and hot. My daughter for whatever reason will only eat "tacos" (she's 2) and the servers always play along and call it tacos for her sake, which is incredible and one of the reasons we love it here!

Always good service and the food is served promptly and hot. I've never been disappointed. Leans more toward authentic Hispanic food.

Food wise, I really have a hard time distinguishing one authentic Mexican restaurant from another. They really are all good and they really are all the same. Because of that, I wind up defaulting a lot of the review to service, price, and atmosphere.The only food that really stood out was the chorizo and egg torta that I had. It was SO GOOD! I've never really thought to order tortas at Mexican restaurants, but I am glad that I did. I always get them at Tortas Frontera in ORD (doesn't everyone?) and it makes sense to try one here.My daughter had a drink spill and the cleaning help was appreciated. Once our food was delivered, though, our server moved on to other things. We still saw him, but he was enjoying taking to friends. The wait for our check was almost 10 minutes and it was pretty clear that we were done (two of the kids had gone to the car!).The price was what you'd expect as was the atmosphere!

Very friendly and fast service. Food is good. Relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of parking.

We've been by this restaurant a number of times over the last few years, but had never stopped in for a meal until recently for lunch. We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas Verde Dinner for $7.99 (served with re-fried beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, & sour cream) and the Carne Asada Dinner for &12.99 (same sides & guacamole, as well).The chips here are excellent, a bit thinner than most, with great flavor. The salsa is a nice consistency, but lacks cilantro or any heat. They offer small containers of a hot red sauce, as well as a verde sauce, with little or no heat. A bit of the red sauce added to the salsa pepped it up, but you only need a little, it is indeed, a hot sauce.Food was out of the kitchen in good time, and almost everything proved to be very, very good. The Chicken Enchiladas were loaded with tender, well marinated chicken, tasty enough to stand on its own. There was a nice amount of cheese, and the verde sauce was sharp and tasty. The rice was very nice, but needed a touch of salt, while the beans were a bit bland.The Carne Asada here is very, very good with a great deal of flavor, even if a bit chewy. The guacamole is awesome, and we'll order a side of on the next visit. The Carne Asada here doesn't include grilled green onions or a grilled, whole jalapeno like many restaurants do, and I missed that.The service was excellent, very pleasant & engaging. We'll be back!

Great food, friendly owners! I love Burrito Brothers, not only is the food amazing, the owners treat you like good friends. Be sure to try the FILETE DE TILAPIA ASADO (Grilled tilapia filet) Best fish in town! or MOJARRA FRITA - (whole tilapia) if you don't mind the bones, (well worth the effort). Also great enchiladas & quesadillas plus the Giant burrito of the house, & bomba alambre. The Tacos Al Pastor and tacos carnitas? So authentic. All this and coldest cerveza in town all with fair pricing. Highly recommend.

Very good its goodness is being compromised lately. They're not as good. I don't know what the problem is. Other than. No experience and manager needs to take care of this
