Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room & Bistro

I've dined here twice in the last 6 months. Both times I had a dog, so I sat outside on the patio- and it is so nice. Beautiful views while you eat and enjoy your wine! Twice I've had the smash burger, and it is SO GOOD. Ordered the brussel sprouts on both visits as well, they are perfection. A lot of places toss them in a sweet and spicy Thai sauce- but not here- they use a different dressing and it's delicious! Today I did a wine flight, and that includes four 2 oz pours. I tried the Gruner Veltliner , The reserve Chardonnay the white blend with the GV/Chard/Riesling, and the Rose. They were all nice and refreshing. On my first visit I ordered a burger patty for my best girl, (It was her birthday, and we'd hiked 9+ miles!) and today the pups split a grilled chicken breast. They are super dog friendly, and bring out water for the dogs. We had the beignets for dessert today, they were delicious. If you are hiking around Chimney Rock, Bat Cave, Lake Lure, then I highly recommend planning your lunch or dinner here!

I'm going to put aside the rude service we got from the snarky hostess because I've been here before and had good experiences. I can ignore that. What I can't ignore...See this fence there in the back left of this patio, setup? This public patio with tables and chairs where it's logical kids will run around and play? The type of fence that kids will immediately go run up to and grab to look in? It's an electric fence. An electric fence with no warning sign and totally exposed to the public.My 3 year old ran up to this fence and was electrocuted this past weekend.This is absolutely outrageous and unacceptable

I ordered the 4 flight wine tasting and it was excellent. I tried the Cabernet Sauvignon, Gruner Veltliner, Riesling, and Estate White. My favorite was the Reserve Gruner Veltliner! We had the smoked salmon dip with toasted baguette and it was delicious.Plenty of seating. Service was excellent! It was relaxing way to end the day after a hike at Chimney Rock.This is a definite must-go!

Slow service at the bar every time we go and good views. However, the napkin and glass we had were dirty. :/ live music was cool though!

Every chance I get I love to go wine tasting. We did a day trip up to the mountains and thought why not. We found Burntshirt Vineyards. They have indoor and outdoor dining. We had a great time. Some of the wines weren't my cup of tea, but we were able to taste 6-7 different wines and we bought a bottle. Just a heads up you must pay for parking. We decided not to eat here but they do serve food.

Burntshirt Vineyards caught my eye as I was driving to Chimney rock state park and I immediately knew I needed to eat here for dinner. String lights, mountain views, the whole enchilada. I ordered a wine flight and was pleasantly surprised when they handed me a choice card. This gave me time to mull over my choices and pick the wines that appealed to me the most. I ended up selecting five of the most delicious wines. Everything about this place was 10 stars. The food, staff, environment, and drinks. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a top priority if visiting this area!

What a nice surprise to find this tasting room in Chimney Rock!I spent the Independence weekend in Lake Lure and found this place on Yelp and cruised by it a couple of times before stopping in on Sunday 7/3/22.There was a picker/singer who was very good playing some Classic rock the crowed seemed to enjoy.I had a glass of the Cab Sav and it was so good I bought a bottle to take home.Nice live music on the patio with Myron Hyman.Nice establishment with great staff, good and wine.I would highly recommend this place.Plenty of free parking.

Awesome wine tasting and dining experience. They have a wide variety of wines and the food from appetizer to dessert can't say enough good things. The service was also outstanding. The Salmon dip is excellent. It is fresh salmon. The dip made at the restaurant, great flavor. It comes with toasted baguettes a marriage made in heaven. Very filling. The Burntshirt salad with the vinaigrette was delish. Fresh crispy and the vinaigrette was light, not too sweet just perfect, large portion. The fish and chips, very flavorful & crispy the potato wedges are seasoned they were excellent. Couldn't stop eating them. The Burntshirt burger a must try! Juicy and full of flavor, comes with potato wedges. The white chocolate bread pudding was absolutely delicious! Not to sweet not to bland. Huge portion but we finished it all. That's how good it was!! BTW we also enjoyed their wines. I would highly recommend them and whenever we're back in the are we will return

Amazing lunch! Amazing view! Perfect weather! Brussel Sprouts were on point and perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Signature burger with bacon jam between the patties and cheese......oh my!!!! Teh fries were crispy and soft inside. We will be back!

Great wine selection, great menu for lunch, and the absolute best view of Chimney Rock from the outdoor porch. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and wine flight. The BLT was tasty--a little different as it's on a hoagie but still delicious. LOVE the crispy wedge fries. Our waitress gave us great suggestions and kept our drinks filled, orders correct, and even brought us to-go drinks. Great for larger groups too. A lot of good gifts to buy inside too. Can also do wine tastings if you're not looking for food. Not a ton of parking.
