Very nice vineyard-side dining. Choices are limited, but adequate. Dining room is beautiful, but a bit loud if there are noisy groups or kids/babies. Food has been delicious all of the times I've been there (4 or 5).

We'd been going to Burntshirt since 2014. I miss the annual trip up the hill for the amazing view and then the treck down through the vines to the picnic they had ready for wine members, complete with music. We were sidelined by the renovations and then covid....but what a treat to stop last week for lunch, a bit of wine tasting, and purchasing some summer whites. We ate lunch for the first time at the restaurant and it was delicious! This CA girl misses winery days...so Burntshirt makes me smile and breathe easy...

I have had the most amazing time at this beautiful secluded vineyard located in Hendersonville, NC called "Burntshirt Vineyards". It is 10,440 square feet of admirable bliss. When we arrived we were greeted with professionalism and friendliness. The atmosphere was very scenic with a background of gorgeous mountains. My husband and I had the experience with Mr. Ben, who is a part of the expert tasting staff to engage in a custom Flight Menu tasting. He was very knowledgeable and professional! Our wine tasting was a blend of semi sweet drinks such as Sugah, Sunset Sippin, Apple and Lake Lure. The taste of these wines were exquisite and delicate. After the tasting, we dined at the Vintner's Table, located on the property. I ordered the Fish and Chips, which has a lightly fried grouper filet, sprinkled with powdered vinegar, served with tartar sauce and french fries. Let me tell you, this was so delicious I raved all about it on the way back to Columbia! This is a dish you must order over, and over again. It pairs well with the Lake Lure wine.My husband ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It has the fried house marinated chicken breast, remoulade sauce, comeback sauce, lettuce, pickles, pickled onions, sesame brioche bun served with fries. By the look on his face after taking one bite I knew it had to be mouth watering! We got the chance to meet one of the owners and she was a true sweetheart. She greeted us with a warm smile and pleasant conversations. It was a delight just to communicate and get to know her. She introduced me to the manager who filled me in on great information on how accommodating they are willing to be for our next arrival. This place is hands down one of the best! If you are looking to get away for a few hours and be in the company of some amazing people, live music, great wines and delectable dishes, visit this gem. I promise you will enjoy it! It is was worth our 2 hour trip from Columbia, South Carolina. We will be returning soon.

This vineyard has two separate buildings- one for food + wine by the glass and then one for wine tastings + tours. We opted for the wine by the glass building because we wanted to eat dinner. They have a huge outdoor patio that has some shady areas and some areas in the sun. We ended up moving to another table halfway through because the setting sun quickly beamed sun all over our first table. We all ordered a glass of wine (my sister got the wine slushy) and then split the crispy brussel sprouts and salmon dip. The salmon dip was AMAZING. It was so creamy and had a hint of horseradish, which gave it a nice tangy bite.My sister ordered the smash burger and said it was good, but it was a little too thick to be a smash burger. My BIL ordered the fish and chips and really liked them. My husband ordered the pastrami Reuben and let everyone try a bit because it was that great- definitely the best meal out of the 4. I ordered the Burntshirt caesar and added blackened chicken for an extra $8. The salad was exactly what I was wanting, but I 1) wouldn't consider the chicken blackened and 2) it was not enough chicken to warrant an extra $8. The gardens outside are absolutely beautiful and were full of happy bees. I definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area!

We had a great visit here. The weather was perfect the day we came. We arrived just after 12 pm. The setup is a bar inside where you can order tastings, wine, and food. You get a number, and a food runner brings your food out to you. There are covered tables both high and low tops, and the ones not covered have umbrellas if you needed or wanted shade. You can see the beautiful mountain in the back as well as the grape vines. To the right is the tasting room where you can also do tastings for a more one on one experience. My friend and I tried a flight for a tasting. My favorite was the Sugah. Delicious! I rarely drink alcohol, but my friend is the wine queen and I could drink a lot of that wine! We ordered the goat cheese fritters and WOW!!!! Amazing! We've literally talked about them every day since lol. We also had the flatbread which wasn't impressive. It was very doughy for a flat bread, had a lot of sauce and there wasn't cheese covering it. For me, my slices were also quite garlicky. I wouldn't recommend that. There was a free wine tour at 2 pm. It was interesting, and the story about the winery is pretty cool. There was live music, and they had a fire pit although I'm not sure when it was used last bc we could see spider webs going across the rocks. The restrooms were clean and nice. Great overall experience. I will definitely be back. I can't imagine what this place looks like more towards spring when the grapes are on the vines.

Our server was so very nice- had great suggestions about the wine and pulled up little stools to set our wine flights on so our table wasn't so crowded. Really liked the wine flights- would recommend the bat wine. Brussels sprouts were really good! Cheese board was expensive but had lots of stuff crammed on there so it was worth it. Had a burger - it was also really good.

This place has grown in the few years since we've been here. The tasting room was closed but we were still able to sit out on the patio in front of it, rocking in rocking chairs, listening to deep wind chimes moving in the breeze and looking across at the vineyard. This time I tried the Gruner Vitliner. It was fabulous. Similar flavors to savignon blanc but not as tart.

Very nice way to spend an afternoon! They offer tours everyday at 2pm or you can schedule otherwise. We opted out today as they were performing maintenance in the winery and we could not see much on the tour other than a peek at the vineyard! Beautiful setting with plenty of parking! They have a general store for souvenirs too. Spacious inside and out with a tasting room or you can order a wine flight with 4-5 of your preferred wines! They start a tab give you a number and once done you tally up on your way out They have a nice menu and charcuterie boards to select from. We tried a few apps and wine. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and view of the vineyards and some nice live music also. It is dog friendly for those that wish to bring their furry family along! The wait staff are very very friendly, helpful with selection and checks on you often!

This may not be the place for dinner. I made a reservation for 6:30 on Open Table, which was the only time available. Upon arrival, it was clear a reservation was not needed. There were only two other tables in the whole place. I ordered the burger based on previous reviews. The burger was dry and hard to eat. My daughter got the friend chicken sandwich and it was way over cooked. The menu online is not the same as the menu we received. You don't get an itemized bill. A handheld device is given with the total amount and the option for the tip. Service was okay. This place is more cafeteria-style. There are numbers on all the tables similar to Paneara. This might be a good place to go for a glass of wine. I would not suggest taking family here for dinner ever.
