This burger (chicken) stand is amazing! I had chicken and potato wedges. Chicken inside was moist and the outside skin was crunchy and tasty! The burgers and good too and they offer the North Carolina style burger and traditional style burger. If you haven't had a NC style burger, you may want to do your homework before you order! Fries are crunchy and taste great. This place has the best sweet tea around the county!

Always delicious food and at reasonable prices.The staff is courteous and swift. The only drawback is that some of staff need better clothing and gloves while handling food. Sanitation may be an issue. But, I keep going back

Best place in Mt gilead to eat... breakfast is always a hit and the dinner specials (seafood plate) are a great deal. Make sure you get some tater wedges and a piece of pecan pie to top things off before you leave!

Are you a truck driver running up 109 through Mt. G? Then this is the best place to stop with your full rig. Excellent gravel parking lot for you to park in. At least the food is warm and won't give you a situation later.

They have a great breakfast . Good grits . Good chicken and tater wedges . Friendly staff . Fairly fast drive through .

It's not pretty by any means a greasy little burger place but the fried chicken potato wedges best thing on menu footlong and old fashioned burger is not to bad either now if your looking for healthy not the place for you but if you like diner food it's pretty decent

Love these guys and best option for breakfast and lunch in Mt. Gilead. They have simply the best fried chicken and a must stop when we have a big crowd at the lake. Local owners and an institution for Mount Gilead. We love this place!

Great made to order burgers and the best potato wedges I have ever had! The staff is super friendly, too.

I've forgiven this place time after time, because it's in my town but I give up on it. -5 star my credit card info was stolen from an employee there when he took it into the window for a long time. -2 wrong order many many times. -1 I've heard complaints from others in person. -1 unhelpful staff, there was one time I looked at my receipt and was charged too much for a double bacon cheeseburger I told her clearly DOUBLE BACON CHEESE BURGER. Her response was because there's 2 piece of meat and cheese so I thought hell with it fine thinking maybe because the price of meat had gone up. I checked the bag when I arrived at work and there were 2 single cheeseburgers. So she didn't even look close enough to analyze that in my bag there was not a double cheese burger. I'm so done with Burger Shack, never ordering from there again
