Burger Barn

Some friends recommended that I try the Burger Barn so I stopped by here on my own for a late lunch. It's a small place in the parking lot of a gas station and there's only one table for outdoor seating. It seems like this is really intended for takeout although since I was the only person around I went ahead and ate at the table. The food was very good. I stuck with a very basic lunch: A cheeseburger basket with french fries and an Arnold Palmer. The burger was good. Not the biggest burger but it was clearly cooked while I was waiting and it was very fresh with a nice flavor to it. The toppings were all fresh, too, and complemented the burger nicely. I had chili on it and enjoyed it. The chili is kind of sweet but had a lot of flavorful and really added a lot to the burger. The fries were the best part. They're larger fries (though not wedges/ steakhouse fries) and they're cut into long rectangles. They looked really nicely cut and had an excellent flavor. Not terribly crispy but good; clearly homemade like fair fries. They has a few different options (hotdogs, cheese steaks, and wings. The price seemed a dollar or two higher than what I'd expect but the food was hot and cooked fresh so that seems reasonable.

I heard of this place on Facebook from a friend decided I wanted to try it out so I decided to drive from Charlotte to Shelby just to try it and I don't regret it the food is great. I did have to wait a bit to make my order but there fast in making it. I recommend you to try it out. I loved it and planning to go again.

I have never had a better burger ! Seasoned perfect and the wings were just as good ! It is a must if your in or around town!

Me and my wife grabbed something to eat there one there plates cost to much for the amount they give you. Two the burgers was very small my wife wanted chili and cheese on her fries it wasn't they was like 6 fries in each tray which was burnt and the burger made my wife sick so I will not go back there I paid 30 dollars for three trays one for me step son it was not worth it

This place is ridiculous. Their website claims they close at 11pm. I drove over 30 minutes to get there and they were closed at 8:15 pm. I don't understand what the point of having a website is if you're not going to provide accurate information. I will not be going back!!
