I left this place with chicken lipgloss because the wings were SOOOOOOOOOOO GREASY. OMG!!!! I know with garlic parmesan some ppl dip them in butter, but the butter is not supposed to make it to the plate. The wings were in a POOL of grease when we got them. I went home to air fry them to "dry" out the wings hoping some of the grease would fall off, but it didn't. Still greasy, and all over my hands. I was SQUEEZING GREASE off the wings. It's sad because the wings were actually good.I think this place banks off of people already being drunk when they come here so things like this can pass, but this was unacceptable. The bar food is fairly priced and service was fast, but overall the bartenders were generally unfriendly. DRINKS ARE WATERYYYYYYYY!!!!!! The music is loud, so you have to yell to get someone's attention which is expected. Even after yelling and waving my hands to flag someone down, I feel like some staff ignored ppl on purpose. Unfriendly customer service + greasy wings + interesting dj= A place where I wouldn't return or recommend.

This location on the corner of N Davidson and East 36th has changed hands many times over the years. Bulldog is and always has been a popular bar in Southend, so I suppose the idea of bringing the concept to Noda made sense in theory. A few years later I'm not sure how good of a fit it is for the neighborhood. The positives are that they have a lot of TVs and can show virtually any football game. They have darts if you are so inclined, and the bartenders are friendly. I've never had any issue with service. I think the biggest problem is that it is simply overpriced. They charge roughly $8.00-$9.00 for a domestic beer like Bud Light. You can walk across the street and get the same beer for $3.00. They have tried different food concerts and now have added a smoker menu, but I don't think people associate this place with barbecue and I'm not sure it's a natural fit. The previous owners of this location served Detroit style pizza, something that was unique and not too common in Charlotte. They scratched that and instead started serving flatbread pizzas that are smaller and frankly nothing special. I hate to give a negative review because I always loved going to Bulldog when I lived in Southend. This location just seems like an after thought and I'm not sure if the owners fully understood the NoDa neighborhood when they decided to open here. I'll come in to support them on football Sundays so I can guarantee a TV will have the game I want, but bedside that I think there are far better options in the area.

This place has potential but it's honestly in the most friendly of terms a sh*t hole. Bathrooms are in disrepair. (1/3 usable in the men's) (1/3 women's bathrooms had toilet paper and the bar wasn't even busy) Bartenders only serve their friends and ignore customers they don't know. Super location and great music tho!

I stopped by here on a Saturday night around 8ish. Wasn't busy yet. Vibe was definitely more on than the younger side. We didn't really stay too long. Maybe 30 minutes or less. I think we just dropped in to see what the vibe was. They have an open floor plan. They have outside seating in front of the building with what looked like a fireplace. They have a patio outside, which was super cold as they had ceiling fans turned on. Inside, there's a lot of standing around with seats at the bar. It's not a bad location. I can see it getting crowded during peak hours. Don't really remember much of music. I think we could hear more of the music at the venue next door than any actual music coming from this place. I feel like we definitely didn't give it a full fair shot only because we got there early, so the vibe was a bit dead. Will definitely be returning, though, as it seems like a good legit place to chill and have fun on a weekend.

This place is great. They literally brought out a ladder to get a game on we wanted (great service!) and the wings and sweet potato fries were top-notch. (No pictures because we scarfed them down!) The wings were super crispy and the sauce tasty. The fries were a thin crispy waffle style and came with honey mustard. Love it! We'll be back.
