Food is great, Staff is too busy to talk much. The ice cream bar is one of the best places for ice cream, shakes and sundaes. Tables are always clean, but on busy days you may have to wait a few minutes before being seated.

We have ate here 2 times in the last two days. We definitely aren't as impressed anymore since the new ownership, but there are pros and consGood: Online ordering, drive thru, updated insideCons: Customer service has declined some, some items are gone from menu, price increases, portions sizes have decreased and are inconsistent, open fewer daysOverall things aren't bad, but the place we used to eat at 5-6 times a week we now have been to around 5 times since they reopened. It's not all bad, but we don't enjoy eating here as much anymore. The chicken bites are really good but if you order them to go they will give a tiny amount and no matter how many times you ask you won't get ranch But honestly, it's good food and pricing isn't awful. Just don't go in expecting what you're used to if you're familiar with the old smokehouse

Small down home country feel efficiently laid out. Was surprised to see how many tables they had packed into the dining room. Walk up ice cream counter as well and heard great things about the ice cream. definitely have to try it next time. BBQ pork sandwich was good. Heavy hickory smoke flavor which i love. Sauce was also really good but wasn't needed. Flavor of the meat was good enough on its own. Beans were a lukewarm but also had good flavor to them so that made up for it. Look forward to trying the ice cream next time we are in the area

This place is worth the drive. Our table got ribs, open faced pot roast sandwich, and salad bar trips. I would recommend getting the ribs but asking for no sauce or sauce on the side. The rib meat was great on its own, and the sauce they put on top would be better for dipping as you need it. We went easy on the food so we could have ice cream. We got the berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, fried apple pie with sugar free vanilla, a single scoop, a mint chocolate chip milkshake, and a banana split. They were out of strawberry so we subbed it for black cherry. So good! The seating was a mix of tables with chairs and booths. I loved that you could eat a quality meal and still have good conversation because it wasn't overly loud. Our waitress was good, and the other wait staff helped out when our waitress was busy with other tables. I hope we can come back again soon.

So glad this place is back open! Best BBQ hands down in the Wilkesboro area. Tons of menu options. Service is always great and friendly even when they're packed. Never had a bad meal. Save room for ice cream, cobbler, a sundae or a fried apple pie.

The food was cold. The server spilled a drink on me and the table and then left it there until she took our order as it dropped off the table. The food was cold. My side of French fries was exactly 11 fries. When I asked for ketchup, instead of getting a bottle of ketchup, I was provide a paper cup of ketchup to which, the server must have put her finger in it because she had to wipe the ketchup off after she sat it on the table. It's like they are penny pinching. The sides are so small it's ridiculous. It used to be so much better, but alas the new computer systems must be confusing.

Really good local food. Great salad bar. The Sunday brunch is great. But the ice cream is a must

Great food and fast, polite help. The chicken breast I ordered was moist and the corn nuggets were very tasty. The only thing I didn't like was the parchment paper under the food. As I cut my chicken breast it got wet and started to tear making it hard to not have paper in my bites. Worth trying!

Authentic NC BBQ, yummy ice cream. Recommend the BBQ sandwich. Ice cream flavors rotate, we happened to be there when Red Velvet was on the menu, delicious! Family and group friendly.

Excellent food, quick service and friendly staff. Great prices and they also have fantastic ice cream.
