Brown Mountain Bottleworks

The place was packed on a Thurs night (trivia night). I was a little disappointed on the number of draft beer options (only 10). The bartender wasn't a little rough - not particularly friendly. The patrons were the opposite....we came across some really friendly folks while we enjoyed a beer.

Great selection of beers from the area and beyond, on tap. You can buy beer and some wines to go. Would be nice to have a better wine selection, but that's just me. This is a great place!

This place is a pretty nice. It is a large facility and there is a lot of seating spread out, so there is plenty of room for a lot of people. Also an outdoor area. They have a large selection of wine and beer to choose from. The bar is spacious and welcoming. There are usually around 12 different beers on tap. The bartenders are really nice and helpful. They are knowledgeable as well. If you're ever in town, I recommend taking a stop here to try it out.

Stumbled upon here after hiking in Linville Falls for the day on a Saturday. Stopped in and had a delicious cider that tasted like fall (called Spice Mountain) and then got some local crackers and mango sriracha hummus that was delicious. Great vibe for the bottle shop and taproom, although it was a little dark. The menu was a scrolling screen so be sure you see all your options. Friendly staff gave us samples and gave us plates, napkins and a knife for our food as well as cleaned up after us. There is a discount wall too so be sure to check it out!

I love this place. Gluten free options for the celiacs and really a huge variety with an awesome atmosphere.

We almost always make a stop at Brown Mountain when we're in Morganton -- it's a great book end to Fonta Flora, who closes a little earlier than Brown Mountain some nights. They have a great beer selection both on draft and in bottles and cans, tasty treats to munch on (check out Poppy's popcorn from Asheville) and their space is beautifully designed and comfortable. It's easy to hang out here for hours! Brown Mountain Bottleworks turned 3-years old yesterday and we were lucky enough to help them celebrate! They rolled out the red carpet with Cold Mountain (my most favorite beer!) a plenty, raffle prizes on the half hour (we won a gift pack from New Holland!), a food truck and live music.

No trip to Morganton is complete without hitting this place. Their tap list has something for everyone, plenty of seating and a neighborhood feel although many of the patrons are from out of town.Typically when Fonta Flora does a release we head over to Brown Mountain afterwards to talk more beer, have something new from the area meanwhile running into those we just met over at Fonta. The older gentleman behind the bar is always helpful and kind. The only thing I would add to this place is some type of roof or awning on the back patio. Step out there at 1 p.m on a hot Saturday afternoon and you'll be in for a rude awakening. The front patio is quaint and cool to hangout on. Overall two thumbs up over here

A wonderful environment for sitting with family and friends for any one of a variety of beers and entertainment. The weekly outside brewery tap is especially valuable allowing for an opportunity to taste beers from brewers across the region.

Great beer selection and great atmosphere. The staff is very nice and service is great. They have fun events and board games. It's always our go to!
