Authentic Brazilian cafeHad the picanha and it was delicious. The pastel de frango was also good and fresh.Husband had the linguiça and that was also good. Son had the bife a cavalo and he enjoyed it!I wanted to try the pamonha but they did not have it at the time. The only thing missing here is coxinha without the catupiry. Ryan was our server and he was very nice and helpful as this was our first time exploring Brazilian restaurants and grocery stores in the area! We felt like we were back home in Newark Nj! Will recommend!

Delicious food. Service is not English-dominant so be prepared to consult Google translate. There are plenty of outdoor tables in the back should you want to be outside. Recommend the coxinhas but truthfully, everything we tried was delicious, including the imported Brazilian sweets inside.

This review is super late. I stopped by on the night of Tuesday, 11-15-22. I wanted a snack after watching a movie. There did not seem to be a lot of people who spoke English. The time stamp on my pictures is 9:03 pm, so I would have been there after 8 pm. I had the cheese bread, a version of flan, and some candy. The flan seemed to taste more of sweet condensed milk than a custard, but it was ok.

I am Brazilian so I can attest this is a wonderful place for Brazilian snack and food. Their pastel, pão de queijo and overall bakery goods are super well done and authentic. The frozen food they sell also are typical of my country with fruit pulps to blend and make smoothies or natural juice which is one of our many wonderful delicious drinks in Brazil juices are natural so you can buy these here. You can also find açaí! Which is trending right now and they have at a wonderful price. Guaraná is another one of my favorites it's a traditional soda and it's a must try, together with a coxinha ;) you're welcome. Just show this to them .,.. you can point at this frase so you can order what I'm talking about ... eu quero uma coxinha de catupiry com um guaraná, por favor - there you're welcome again. Also if you want to really taste a traditional meal ... we have our black bean stew with meat - feijoada - or our famous PICANHA yum, I believe they have special days for these traditional plates - ask them when they have these.... The service is typical of everywhere in our country- warm and friendly - we always aim to make you feel at home. The ambience is back yard, in your neighbor kitchen you know, friendly. It's clean and simple nothing fancy like a Brazilian dinner. If you've never tried Brazilian food you must come here and you'd you are a foodie you Owe yourself a visit here ;) Xoxo, Sofy

I don't know how this place has changed 50 thousand times, but BR cafe feels like it just belongs here and it always has. When you walk through the former grocery store doors, you're in that hole-in-the wall restaurant where you just fit in... maybe not physically (it's super small inside), but it's a great place. The staff is nice and fun even if they don't speak a lot of English. Brazilian shows are on the TV, and there are lots of interesting snacks you can pick up if you want to try something new.As for the food... I really don't know what kind of magic they have in that tiny kitchen, but I've never had a breakfast sandwich or orange juice taste that fresh and delicious. It's eggs, yall.... why was it so good??!? On a previous trip I ordered the the hand pies. They were much larger than Mexican, etc. empanadas, and the crust was really light and flaky. Everything else I tried out of my friend's to go box was tasty, as well. I am very much looking forward and trying more things on future visits. This neighborhood has slowly and organically grown into a nice little spot with all kinds of restaurants and food shops from various nations. BR Cafe immediately became one of my favorites. I think about that juice every day. Highly recommended.
