The food is always hot & fresh 10/10. I can't wait for them to expand their hours. Servers are always amazing.

Spicy pasta dish that was on special was very mid. The sauce was so watery. Got the seafood gumbo. It looks like used car oil with rice. The shrimp they use in everything is the small frozen shrimp. There were 2 shrimp in my gumbo. The decor is lacking. I feel like they could do so much more with the space. The menu is short and sweet. I def will not come back.

Exploring the Noda area and came across this place. Looking at the menu and couldn't pass up some gator bites. Ordered some peel and eat shrimp and gator bites with citrus pepper jelly. Delicious!!! Tried the spicy Bloody Mary and had to order a second. Our waitress was awesome. Gave suggestion of places to see and try. Place has plenty of room for large party or just for two. I'd recommend this place.

This wasn't a great food experience, unfortunately. I came with a group of friends and my boyfriend after a tequila tasting event. I was looking forward to trying them since I had never been here in all my years in Charlotte. This place has been around for so long, so I just knew it had to have great food. Our server was great, very attentive. I'm not sure why but when we walked in there wasn't a single other soul in the restaurant. We were the only guests and it was a Saturday night around 8:30pm. I thought that was odd. I tried the shrimp po boy, gator bites, clam chowder, cornbread and hush puppies. I genuinely didn't enjoy a single item. :o( Mostly, there wasn't much flavor, even for the cornbread. The food was very bland for this to be a Louisiana style restaurant. My boyfriend and I were pretty disappointed and neither one of us finished our food. Maybe it was on off night for the Chef, but I don't think we will be trying it out again.

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. They were not busy at all. We were seated in the bar. Service was a bit slow. We got drinks but it took asking several times to also get waters. Ordered food and it came out fairly quickly. I ordered the bourbon chicken and jambalaya. The chicken was soo good! Crispy and flavorful and moist! I got the smaller size but wish I hadn't so I had more chicken. Jambalaya was flavorful but not overwhelmingly spicy. Cornbread was nothing special.

Sucks to give this a bad rating because we really wanted to like it. Our group of 9 was here at 1pm on a Sunday with reservations. Our table was ready and we were served waters. We saw three employees: a host, one man who served waters and bussed a couple tables, and one man who was waiting on and serving the entire restaurant. He was literally taking orders, bringing food, bringing drinks, bartending, bringing checks, taking payments for everyone. Because of this, everything was soooo slowwww. We blame bad management, not this poor guy himself. Never saw the host or other guy serve food or take orders. One of us got up to find ketchup and someone at another table got up to take the check to the server. The food was alright. Gumbo and jambalaya were found to be pretty salty and the rice was fairly overcooked. Chicken and waffles were good.I don't think we'll go back. The food just didn't seem flavorful enough for the price. The poor management was just really frustrating.

I struggled on how to rate Boudreaux's, partly due to the fact that I am a huge fan of Sanctuary, the bar next door under the same ownership. I spend a lot of time there so it recently found myself wondering why I don't eat here more often. I enjoy Cajun food, and the large gator on the corner of 36th and N Davidson is a NoDa staple that is very recognizable for the neighborhood. I was working from home recently and decided to come by and grab an alligator po'boy for lunch. The sandwich wasn't bad by any means but I felt it was overpriced for what I got. The she crab soup was a let down, a lot of the broth had gone beyond creamy and had started to solidify, I wasn't able to finish it. Overall I have found the food here to be disappointing and not worth the price, I might have even ranked them lower if it wasn't for the Sanctuary next door. I would save your appetite for Monday night wing night and enjoy some beers next door rather than sit down for a meal.

I really wish I could do half star ratings, Boudreaux's is worth a solid 3.5. Which is good. Not bad, but good. The restaurant was fairly empty on a Friday at 8pm sit time. But that's good: fast service and attention plus prompt food. Our wait staff was great and friendly. Ordered crab hush puppies, etouffe, fried chicken & jambalaya. All pretty solid! Good texture, ample portions. The cornbread was nothing more than a vehicle for the sauce tho (needs more butter imo). Good to-go spot or quick lunch.

We did brunch for my sister's birthday. The food was delicious and served quick and hot. They had half-price mimosas that definitely had a kick. It was a nice fall day and the ambiance was perfect.

You might as well go to Costco and put your unseasoned frozen food in the air fryer. Wings are maybe an inch and a half long, I've had better chicken 10/10 times from Popeyes. "Sauce" was absolutely laughable, more of a light glaze that loses flavor 3 seconds after taking a bite. You literally would achieve a better flavor profile with A1 sauce in an air fryer. I mean what tf is going on where fast food is better than a $50 tab here. Literally the $7.99 buffalo wings at Harris Teeter are better. It's actually impressive that the food can be that bad and the restaurant get such prime real estate. Get your shit together chef.Is this an aggressive review, yes. Is the food absolutely subpar for what you're paying for, yes. Just go to Bennys pizza down the street. On a separate note bar staff and drinks were excellent.
