What a FANTASTIC place! Second year coming here for my daughters birthday, and she looks forward to it. All the employees are super friendly & knowledgable. I do not participate in the actual games and was just tagging along so I was worried at first I wasn't going to have no where to sit and chill comfortably or thought I would have to sit in my car but I was pleasantly surprised to see that was not the case. They have PLENTY of picnic tables stationed around what I call a "courtyard" where you can sit, drink, eat, and relax while others go play. You can bring your own food and drinks. They also have a few hammocks, a firepit, cornhole game, a small park for the kids to play, as well as a kids' table with bubbles and other games for them to play. It was not raining and not too hot as all the tables were covered in tents, so I was able to enjoy myself while my husband and kids were out paintballing. This is family owned, and while it may not look up to date or modern like other facilities, they have everything you need and make you feel great for being here. Great prices, port-a-potties are extremely clean, and they offer Popsicles. They have plenty of parking. This is quite a drive for us, but we don't mind it all. Definitely recommend this location.

My son had an amazing 15th birthday! We ordered from dominoes pizza, brought cooler full of drinks and a cake. The boys had a great time. The owners and refs were very helpful. I'm a mom and that doesn't know anything about paint ball, I was able to sit back and relax by the fire while the boys played. We did a public party on a Sunday. It was a great group of people. I'd definitely come back. There is no running water so bring hand sanitizer. They did have some in the club house.

I grabbed a Groupon and took my 11 year old son here for an outing. We had a blast! We recently moved to the area from Florida and have been looking for a new place to sling paint. After this visit, Boss is our spot. The facility is what you would expect for an outdoor paintball park. The owner is VERY knowledgeable and informative. He goes the extra mile to make sure the younger ones have fun and do not just become targets for the seasoned player. What really made him shine was the way he was sharing his experience with other. People that had gun issues went to him for help. Not only did he fix guns that were not his, he shared his knowledge on why it malfunctioned, showed them how to fix it in the future, AND did not charge for it. Awesome! The shop has good priced for a retail store. The fields are wooded, except for speedball, and have all sorts of obstacles including forts, cars, bunkers, etc. Referees take groups and allow the players to vote on what game is going to be played which is great. There are constantly matches starting and ending on different fields so you can minimize your downtime. My advice, bring tubes and fill your tank between every match. Some of the fields are a good walk away from the meeting spot. If you run out of air or balls you are done for that match. Have a good mask because if you take off your mask to clear fog during a match and are seen doing so, you are ejected from the facility for the day with no refund.

After a trip to Boss Paintball for my first experience in the sport I quickly learned paintball's not my thing. However, if it was, this is where I'd burn hours of my time throwing down the paint & pain. They get you trained up well before sending you out into the danger zone. Rule number one is mask on at all times inside the play area. Good rule of thumb because paintballs hurt and could seriously screw up your pretty face. Or put an eye out as mom says.Boss has multiple acres of land forested and hilly. It's perfect for turning your Call of Duty gaming experience into a semi-reality. It's quite frankly scarily realistic. If I remember correctly, for $50 you can rent a gun and mask and play all day. The only thing you have to "re-up" on with more money out of pocket is paintballs. They have multiple different scenarios (like capture the flag, bunker tag, etc.) and multiple different course layouts with whole multi-level buildings. Off to the side they also have a "speed ball" course with giant inflatables. I can recommend Boss Paintball over and over again for any paintball lover out there. A day will fly by out here. For me though, I don't think I'll be back simply because, as I said, it wasn't my thing.

Lightem' up, up, up!This field is great! The Owners and staff are amazing! They are very friendly and helpful to any questions you have wether you are a novice or expert in your playing skills. They keep the games moving, not a lot of wasted time between. That is awesome because that is why your there right? To play and throw paint! They have a small store on site that offers some of the basics along with higher end add ons. Prices are reasonable and it is so convenient that you are there and supplies are there. They even offer repairs to keep you in the game! Great family fun for all skill levels.

EDIT: It is sad that yelp would not recommend my review because this is an honest and heartfelt review. I have played paintball for more than 15 years at fields all over and this was the last straw from Boss Paintball that make me finally write this review. Im sorry to viewers that might find this helpful. Yelp obviously didn't think it would be for you. If I could rate 0 stars I would. This is unfortunately my last visit to boss. It seems they have become to big for themselves and can't maintain a fun and fair atmosphere with attentive staff as all the refs do nothing but talk to each other or other players at the field. The management style of the Owner and employees doesn't reflect their family friendly atmosphere. They don't seem to mane time well at all. In 3 hours of being there I got to play in 3 15 minute games. Not the most bang for your buck by any means. This was my favorite place to come since my first visit many years ago and my last 3 visit have all ended in terrible experiences with refs either kicking people out for their own misdoings if they would just figure out the meat of the issue and handle it like an adult everyone seems like they would get along better. If you like Groupon or have a group of young kids 10-14 that have never played before and probably will never play again then by all means this might be the place for you. And I warn any experience paintball player to check out other fields before deciding on playing at Boss. Remember bigger isn't always better and in this case it's worse. I hate that I had to leave this review but I feel you should know what you are getting yourself in for. You will be best to check out palmetto hills paintball or behind enemy lines paintball if you was a casual but fun play for all ages. I do hope one day they can get better management in one day to make it worth giving another try.

THE BEST place to play paintball in Charlotte. The combination of value and environment make it only place I will play from now on. The referees are extremely knowledgeable and help players from pro level to first timers. The owner is extremely nice and wants everyone to have a great time. All the facilities are maintained and ready for a day of throwing some paint.

Absolutely my favorite place to play in Charlotte and surround area! Staff is great and runs the place very well. Very organized and they get large games going very often. They take safety seriously and try to make sure teams stay even. I bring my own gun and never had any issues, they even allow you to bring your own paint for a $10 fee if you want (their paint prices are very reasonable)! They also have a lot of fields so in a full day we never play the same field more than twice(Once each starting side) and that keeps things very interesting. Overall, it's totally worth our 45 minute drive there for a full day of paintball. LOVE BOSS PAINTBALL!
