Stopped here last night and it was a challenge to figure out what we wanted. The menu is very large and packed with intriguing meals. I could not resist the Redneck Crack. Korean style pork belly to die for, served up with a honey Jalepeno syrup dipping sauce. Just to die for. Our server suggested the ribs, but I was looking at the hand tenderized country fried steak. So, I got both.... The baby back ribs are truly fall of the bone meat tender goodness. You know, the type of ribs when you pick up the bone, it leaves the meat on the plate. The country fried ribeye was super tasty and tender. Served up with a white cream sauce gravy and mushrooms. Excellent flavor. On both plates, I went with mac-n-cheese, excellent flavor. Some of the best mac-n-cheese I have ever had. My wife went with the Prim Rib, A+++++. Service was excellent, vibe was terrific on a Saturday night.The BAD - well it is a meat joint, right? The brussel sprouts were terrible, awful flavor, hard, just not prepared well. The collard greens were not good, no flavor and very bland. The baked potato was way overcooked and hard.

We had dinner here recently and thought it was tasty, but they have room for improvement. Service was slow. Our server was nice, but absent. Also, food seemed to take an abnormally long time to arrive. My side salad came out immediately, but our appetizer came out with our meals... so the timing from the kitchen needs some work. Also, our food was warm, not hot, so I am guessing it had been there for a while. They were not busy and there was a lot of staff. Not sure about the disconnect. I loved the crispness of the onion ring app. My steak was tender and flavorful, but overcooked from the medium rare I had requested. I had to ask 3 times for extra butter and sour cream for my potato, so that was not the best. My wife's grilled chicken salad was ok, but needed something. Overall things tasted good, the portions were large, and the prices were fair. We will be back, but hope they are able to make some improvements! To those about to dine, I hope you have a better experience than we did!

Let me start by saying for us, going to Bones Jones is 3 hrs round trip and it's absolutely worth it. You get quality food, most of which is local to the area and you taste it. You're not getting box Mac and cheese here. Everything was thoughtfully placed on the menu by Bones himself and you'll catch him in the kitchen many days you visit. The beef rib is new to the menu and we've been to TX and had it. Have had it quite a few places and this one SLAPS! Great smoke, amazing seasoning and bark on it. My husband and I both left with a clean bone. And if you still have room, get the cheesecake or to go is an option.

First time here as a recommendation from the owner of our Airbnb. It's was delicious! Drinks are margarita with tejin and the honey bourbon, both delicious. We had the cheese curds for appetizers, then steak tips, ny strip, the Brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and onion rings. Again, all delicious! Staff was very nice!

First, the service has been great, all 11 times. The food, ridiculously good. I have had everything from the fish sandwich, steak, insanely good Asian short ribs(a unique special the time I was there), and burgers. Overall, just a really nice experience! I love to cook, so when I go out, my wife and I always looks for something different, or unique and are never disappointed!

Went about 3 pm Friday afternoon. They were not too busy which was good. Last time there they were packed. Got 12 wings, half bbq and half hot Parmesan and an order of fries. Everything was great. Got 2 desserts to go, a Key Lime cheesecake and red velvet cheesecake, but these were made by a local bakery. They were good as well. Great place and atmosphere near Lake James off Hwy 126.

Wow, the food and atmosphere were as to be expected. My friends have raved about the food, Prime Rib was amazing!! The Ribeye, melted in your mouth, so flavorful. Our waiter provided excellent service, we will be back.
