I was initially impressed by the beautiful property and some of the horses. We quickly realized that this is not a safe place for children or teens. Young teenagers are hired to "work to ride" and are at the farm for hours by themselves. The owner feels it's the kids and parents issue to work outAfter being told they would be supervised - not safe with large animals and all the inherent hazards of a farm. In addition there is a pitbull from a nearby home that runs loose through the pastures where the children have to walk to get their horses. I was appalled after we were there for just a couple of weeks.Owner tells the kids about her experiences with drug abuse...just no...

We had our daughter's birthday party at BWS. The horses are friendly and well cared for, and the staff is exceedingly helpful. All guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Blue Wave Stable exceeded our expectations - I highly recommend them!

Beautiful land, with a nice large arena and friendly owners. Unfortunately I would never recommend boarding your horse here. It will cost you. It's too bad as this farm has a lot of potential with the right care and time taken.

Would not recommend for a young girl that is trying to get more involved into the horse world rather than just a lesson. I leased a horse there and worked to pay off the lease. Was never trained on how things were expected to be done. Was yelled at over the phone and in person for simple mistakes that once talked to about never made again. That her beloved boarders do all the time when she's not looking. I was told that boarders are different because they are a source of income and if I had a problem with them then I should leave. The owner always told me that she doesn't owe anyone anything and doesn't have to give anyone the same opportunity she gives someone else as well as, she doesn't have to treat everyone the same. She has talked about how she was a former cocaine/meth user to YOUNG kids. Erin the owner always shows up late heck, I can't name a day she was on time. Afternoon feeding shift starts around 2:30pm(take a minimum of 4 hours) and most days she would just be finishing dumping food for Morning feeding. All I would get is "I am so sorry thank you so much for helping me finish up." Apology after apology but nothing seemed to change. I have gotten there most days at 12pm and the barn looks like a ghost town with all the horses at the top of their pasture waiting to be fed. They protect their fields with electrical wire and when it rains the boys pasture ground lines would shock the horses endangering the safety of both animals and people.

Great place for horses and riders. Not fancy or competitive, but doesn't try to be. Lessons are safe, educational, and FUN with knowledgeable and kind instructors. Boarding is second to none as far as service and amenities included in the price per month (which has opportunities to be partly worked off). Kind, patient owner and great atmosphere.

I went to Blue Wave Stable for their trail rides with my boyfriend (it was one of his Christmas presents to go riding). While the people and horses where nice and beautiful, the trails and "employees" where less then satisfactory. Little girls I would put at about 9-12 years old where our escorts through the trails. And during the ride we went in a circle three times I kept seeing the same thing for not even an hour because before we went in the trails we waited for about thirty minutes waiting on two other people from the party. To have payed 60 it was not at all what I would have expected. I do not recommend this place for trail riding as for lessons and other services I can't say.

I researched on line and found Blue Wave Stables. My 7 year old became interested in riding and I chose the cheaper option to start her. That was a mistake!I started with an email. The site just didnt make sense. Almost a week went by and I finally got a response. The times were from 5-8. So I wrote more emails. I needed a time and a day of the week. I wrote 2 emails with no response. The third I had to write in the subject line to PLEASE RESPOND. Its again vague. But I state in an email I will be there on a Thursday at 7.The Thursday comes. Forecast is scattered thunderstorms. I call the number at 3:00pm and I am told that Erin will call or text me if lessons are cancelled. 6:15 rolls around with no calls, no texts, and no emails. I pack my super excited daughter into the car and we drive the 40 plus minutes to the stable. Not a drop of rain. We pull into the driveway to find a locked gate. I call the number. I am told Erin will text me. 15 minutes in the car I receive nothing. I call back. And I am told Erin will text me. 20 mins have gone by. I receive a text: sorry classes were cancelled due to bad weather. That was the longest car ride back home.
